Now this is just my op...If u spend your money on a couple diffrent pvs tryin to find the right pv that fits your needs you could have already spent the money that you could have bought a Provari so why waste money. It will do everything you need it to you wont need another pv plus you get what you pay for. Then you can work on the hardest thing finding your all day vape thats the hard thing getting the pv is the easyest thing. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Some of those Lava Tube users are not very happy right now but some are. The ones that are not ask them what they wish they would have bought. Yes this is just my op. So welcome we are here to help.:vapor: I just hear alot of new users not knowing what they want to get and yes its hard to choose from all the pvs out there.:vapor:

I did a bunch of research and bought the Provari as my first big mod purchase (after graduating from stick models) because it had the most positive reviews and I wanted that "one" mod where I would cease to use any others. However, I hardly ever use it. I subsequently bought a KGO and use that most often daily because I like the weight, size and performance. To each his own!

I promise you the ProVari will not confuse you its the easy as hell to use. Dont believe all those vids you see out there once you get a ProVari you wont look back i promise easy to use you will be glad you got one ........

Ehhhh, a starter kit should be cheaper, imo. ProVari is great, but I can't see any sane person beginning their vaping experience with such a high cost kit. eGo T's, eGo C's, and the like can be had for around $55+, giving you more money to play with liquids and cartos/attys/tanks. The eGo is where everyone should start as it's not such a big investment, then you can hand it off to a friend, co-worker, or family member and pick up your next kit/mod that you can get serious with. My last eGo kit (from esmoker, I think) is now being rocked by my brother-in-law, my eGo T kit will probably go to my wife or mother when I get around to ordering my Silver Bullet (3.7v or 6v, no extra electronics to worry about failing out, no matter how well built).

Of course, this is just my opinion.

My Lava tube has been great, with zero failures, and at $69, I am very happy. My friend has a Provari, and I was impressed with it as well, but didn't see too much of a feature difference to justify the price difference. It's also nice that I have a few flashlights that I have protected 18650 batteries for, so I didn't need to invest in those as well. To each there own, but if $$ is an issue, the Lava Tube can get you through happily.

How about this. Buy this full Ego kit for $35 (includes shipping). After week one, when you know you're feeling the vaping experience, then lay out the big bucks and order a Provari. No doubt it's the best money can buy. Then, the new Vaper will have a back up unit in the "starter kit".

It's a nice dream to just buy a provari and save a ton of money, but I still think it shouldn't be a starting point. I'm glad I got my 510-t, system first, all the headaches I got from using the 510 tank system, made me appreciate getting a provari. I was sick of sucking wet air, and charging and swapping bats all day was giving me a headache. But starting with what I wanted (analog style like every new person), the 510 made me happy for a little while, but I quickly became dissatisfied, because since I was a big boy and got to choose it myself, then I was a big boy and quickly realised the parts I didn't like, and wanted to change. If you get a provari as your first pv, you won't appreciate it as much...

I find half the fun, and half the heartache comes with the cycle we get to go through. You buy your first kit, and love it until a day or two later, your start to notice what kinda sucks and what could be improved. So you buy something else, and the excitement is almost unbearable as you wait for the mailman. You get it, and it's great, but a day or two later, something else could be better. Suddenly you get to this point where you have 2-3 different shipments staggered so that a week doesn't go by where you don't have something new and exciting waiting for you to try...so even if your having a lousy day, and your tired of filling cartos, and it just seems so much easier to light a cig, you can't, because the new tank system that will be here in two days could change EVERYTHING!...what's not to luve about that process :)

I think making the decision to quit analogs and try a PV is intimidating enough. Nobody is sure if it will work for them, they have reservations, doubts and even hopeful expectations. The jump is intimidating, then making a decision on what unit to purchase is even more daunting. So many options, nobody wants to make a bad decision and toss their hard earned money to the wind. Making the leap to a Provari out of the gate just isn't logical or practical for most people. To one that is new to vaping learning about, dripping, cartos, attys, tanks, eGos, 808s, mods blah blah blah is enough to make your head hurt then throw in vv... forget it. The Provari is a great unit, and a ton of people will make the progression to it eventually, others never will, but very few will grab it as their first purchase.

I think a provari being my second purchase was as close as it should get, and even then, it took a giant leap of faith. A helpful member recommended I get an Ego, but the 510 gave me such a bloody headache. To be fair, it was love at first vape for me, it was something I knew I wanted to do, and I knew I wouldn't be going half-sies on it. Getting a provari seemed like the cheapest solution considering I knew I would be doing it for a long time...

I got lucky i bought a Riva Battery with an atty for 24 bucks then i said screw this and bought a ProVari thats all i need its untouchable in my opinon by far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buying anything is based upon how one vapes. Personally, I owned a ProVari but sold it because I didn't like the weight and also I have a certain sweetspot when it comes to how I like to vape. The LavaTube isn't any better. Why? I like to vape dual coil cartomizers at 6V. Neither model will allow this so neither of them are/were my favorites. I'll agree that the ProVari is a well made, well constructed PV but it's not for everyone.
