New vamo can't read anything

Sounds like you might have a center post problem with your Vamo.
You might want to look into the connection to see if it is lower than normal.
You can take a micro flat head screw driver and pry it up gently.

But make sure you speak with your vendor 1st and ask if you should try that or just return it.
I don't know what type of center pin the Vamo has and I wouldn't want you pulling the pin out completely.
