to get a provari going you can just buy the full kit from provari that comes with battery's and charger then just get yourself a vivi nova or carto tank of your choosing and some juice and your good to go.
while i agree that a ego twist or spinner would be a bit easier its really not that much different other then the ego's battery cant be replaced and it has no menu options,if you already have a provari in mind just get one as you will end up getting one sooner or later anyways.

Well I basically started anew with a Provari so if you dont mind the initial outlay and are trying to get off the sticks this is a making a good hard effort

I read litterally hundreds of posts of poeple saying well now I am getting a Provari after spending countless hundreds on the rest of the stuff, then I looked at what a Provari does used and saw they basically did near what they cost new and said ummm ok I want to stop smoking I want good equipment and if it fails I can send it back for a nominal fee after the warranty and get it fixed plus I can sell it if I hate it for near what I paid I saw no downside

With that al being said I do also have a Vamo V2 and "if" you are on the fence and really don't know what you want to do its a good device and I use mine but as far as them being in the same league I would strongly disagree, smoking is a game of feel and taste and alot of other mind games, when you have what you feel is the top dog with no regrets then you are ready to take on the beast of not ever smoking again makes a difference.

Provari v2.5 with extension cap and 18650 batteries (get at least 2) Vision Vivi Nova 3.5ml is a real easy rig to get you going, I maybe charge the battery once every 1-1/2 days sometimes less and add liquid maybe once a day takes a few seconds and done no messing around

As stated, want a Provari but don't know what else to get to get started.... it is all very confusing!
I'm not going to tell you whether to get a Provari or not. It basically comes down to just how serious are you about quitting cigarettes?

A Provari is an expensive investment if you aren't dedicated to finally stop smoking, or end up finding out vaping isn't for you. Having said that, a Provari is easy to get nearly all of your money back should you decide to sell it.

Should you decide on getting a Provari, I recommend getting just the Provari, the extender cap (if you want that), and the extended warranty (if you want that), and nothing else from Provape.

You can get a charger and batteries cheaper from RTD Vapor.RTD Vapor AW Batteries Get the best battery charger that you can afford that will charge the batteries you need for the Provari. Pila and Xtar are generally considered the best brands. Provape only recommends genuine AW brand IMR batteries, and RTD has them. You'll need a drip tip at some point and they have a great selection, so pick a couple up with this order.

There's a number of options available for what to put on top of your Provari, called juice delivery devices. I made a picture dictionary of the more common ones. I recommend getting at least two types to try out. Everyone prefers one over the other, and only you will eventually know which you prefer by trying them out yourself.

You'll need to find an e-juice vendor for nicotine juice. Figure on consuming 3-5 ml a day. Nicotine strength for a 1 ppd smoker would be 18-24 mg.

Not everybody is a fan of the mini Red.....I dont see the point in paying for an 18650 extension from Kir Fanis for whats supposed to be a mini when I can just buy the standard size and extension cap.

All I ever use are my 18650's in it....I see no reason at all to make something as simple as batteries so complicated.

Baditude, why not recommend the mini instead of the standard, that way he can use 3 different size batteries (with kir fanis). My only regret is that the mini had not been invented when I bought my first provari

I made no recommendation between the Provari and Mini because the OP did not ask for that. I figure that he can decide between the two versions himself.

It really boils down to how you use your mod and your preferences. Some people like the smaller Mini because it is more pocketable or they have smaller hands. These people don't mind carrying a couple extra batteries with them for the convenience of the smaller footprint and easier portability.

Other people like Zapped would rather have the convenience of just one longer lasting battery and not need to carry extra batteries with them. I see pro's and con's both ways. It's more of an individual choice than for anyone to say one is better than the other.

The Kir Fanis extension is an after market device. It is expensive for what it is, does not match perfectly cosmetically, and has limited availability. For the number of Provari Mini owners who were asking for this from Provape, I see very few of them who purchased the one from Kir Fanis. You can draw your own conclusions to that.
