I have been an on again/off again smoker for what seems like forever. Over the past two months I have been smoking around 7 cigarettes a day. Not a lot. But 7 more than I really wanted to smoke. (AND, definitely more than my husband wanted me to smoke.) Recently some friends were visiting and we went to Disneyland. Twice during the day I had to go find the "smoking section" and my friend would just pull out her eGo 510 wherever we were and vape. It was amazing. Short story long I bought a V2 starter kit 3 weeks ago. It came last week and I toyed with it and decided that this last Monday would be my last day with cigarettes. By yesterday, I wasn't loving the V2. It's okay. I'm glad I have it. It will be a great back up.

Today, I went to an actual store and purchased the new joyetech eRoll. I know there are already complaints about this new device that has only been out a couple of days. For me, a newbie, it's pretty great. What I know from lurking here for a little while now is that I don't know that I will find the perfect set up. I like mini. Which this definitely is. So, I am sacrificing some power and certainly battery life. I know my learning curve will continue. I still feel like there is more to learn and more to try.

I am thrilled to not be smoking cigarettes. Honestly, I feel like for the first time in my life I can say I don't smoke and there isn't that little voice in my head that says, "but you can always smoke if you want." Because with vaping I honestly don't want to smoke. It's pretty amazing!!

Welcome to ECF and congrats on your success. Don't worry about reviews of devices that you use. If you find them working for you then they are GREAT. Do not go chasing the latest and greatest device for they may not work for you.

There very many knowledgeable people here. When you want to change your device just stop by and ask questions.

I am so happy to be here! Thank you!!

And, you are absolutely correct. I just need to find what works for me. I didn't smoke a lot this last time around so I don't need to vape more than I need. Even, though, I will say, I do LOVE it. I know I don't need a Provari, although it's easy to be tempted by the words "the best." I just need to do what I need to do to not smoke and enjoy and appreciate this new life that includes vaping.

As for the people here, I have lurked here for a little while and I can honestly say I am thrilled to be a part of this community. I have read some great posts. Thank you!!!

Hi Abracadebra,

If you can, cut and paste your post onto a new thread. I don't know that you will get much traffic in the middle of this old "I'm new" thread. I am sure you will be able to find some answers...

Good luck!

first off, welcome to vaping!
since you like mini things, and we don't always want to have to sacrifice power; I've found (and really like) mini eGos (400mah) and Vision spinners (400mah w/ variable volt) between the 2 i usually have enough power for the day until i get back home. I really like the small profile cause they don't fall out of my pockets :)

Hi there! From your past smoking history, the eRoll will prolly work just fine for you.... Even though I've somehow accumulated more devices and mods than I really need, I still keep a eGo 510-t system and a SI Volt around for when the cigarette form-factor is more discreet than a ProVari or a Spinner with a T3 or vivi nova. Whatever keeps you off the coffin nails is the best device for you!

I really am a sucker for anything called mini. I will definitely have to look into them. Honestly, I am still a bit mystified by some of lingo and products out there. It wasn't until I was talking to a guy who said something about "throat hit" when I realized that was what "TH" stands for when looking at juice. It's definitely a learning curve but I love it.
