Surf music is an acquired taste
Is it though? IS IT REALLY?
Some music is just not an acquired taste for some people. I know this because I hear Mexican music all the time, I've lived in Tucson for over a decade, and recently one of our back neighbors was building a party shack, (using 2 by 4s as the ah, "posts") and he played Mexican radio the whole time he was making it, and also when the inspectors came and stated, "You can't party in that!" (it was like 30 feet of the ground

) so then again, the whole time he was rebuilding it, and THEN the parties and I never "acquired" the "taste." Then, the word on the neighborhood was that he was locked up for being a hitman and like, "I was a little bit sad, but a lot happy" much as one might say in Country music, another genre I have not yet managed to "acquire."
To be fair, a lot of the music I listen to is absolutely dreadful.
