Well I got my email from SI yesterday that the NEW X2 Clearomizers are in stock so I ordered a few last night. Then I watched Mr. Outlaws Video on them (BTW Mr.Outlaw does us a great service without compensation so if you want to know about SI products look for his Videos on youtube, They Rock) Since I am retired and no longer smoke I spend most of my time sitting on the deck drinking coffee and picking the Mandolin while Chain vaping. Since the new Clearomizers hold so much juice can anyone point me to information concerning Nicotine overdose? I have a feeling these will soon become my favorite addition to my X2 1300s but I am lacking in the self control department so if you don't see a post from me for a few days please call 911... :vapor::vapor::vapor::toast:

From what I hear it is hard to od from chain vaping because your body will give out before toxic levels. I was afraid of it too that's why I get the low nic liquid and vape myself silly. It takes 15-20 minutes to get the feeling of 1 smoke. 60 mg of nicotine can kill an adult who has never smoked. So if you have 10 mg nic in a 30 ml bottle that would equal 300 mg of nicotine if you vaped the whole 30 ml bottle. The most I ever vaped was 5 ml. 5 x 10 = 50mg full strength. I have seen 30-50
% of the nic is absorbed through vaping. If we use 50% then 5 ml at 10% strength would give a nic absorption of 25 mg.

If this information is wrong please let me know. I have been worried about and this is what my logic formed. Whether flawed or not.

also rapid heart beat
when you start getting light headed and/or hives, blurred vision, etc. Lay off and have a sip of your coffee. Or keep another clearo around with a 6mg strength or something to stave off the high nic. Little danger here but if someone say was hitting a provari with 36mg strength nic constantly for hours then they would probably show symptoms.

Less the hives that's a great representation of my normal condition. I am using the 24mg for the most part although I do have 2 bottles of 18mg and as far as when I start to get lightheaded that's generally coincides with when I wake up as does the blurred vision unless I can find my glasses. I was looking though the Library on JAMA's web site and found some pretty interesting reading. When I finish I will post a link to one of the many studies that have documented on their site. So far by what I have read I should be ok. BTW where would one obtain 36mg strength juice? I have only seen 24 on most sites and some only offer 18mg.

It sounds like your getting too much nic, why would you want 36mg?

Lol. There are only a few vendors who sell 36mf that I know of

Truth of the matter is I want to experiment with mixing my own brew and if I buy the 36mg I can cut it in half and have 2 liters of 18mg. The messed up part is the price difference between a liter of 36mg and 18mg is only $20 so why not just get the 36 and cut it in half? Two liters for the price of one and given the rumbling going on with the FDA and the Tax Man pretty soon we may all be SOL so being somewhat of a Prepper I will just add it to my list of things to put in the Bunker. I found a US supplier (in Virginia, Imagine that) that will sell a liter for $119 and a fellow with nothing but time on his hands could make a bunch of juice with 2 liters. I have found a bunch of suppliers for flavoring and I can get PG and VG locally, so why not?

I make some of my own juice in addition to buying premade. Remember, nic base will go bad after a while. Store it in dark (amber or blue) glass containers in the freezer.

While I don't believe it will be banned, I do believe that eventually the FDA will regulate ejuice more, especially with taxes. I don't worry about it too much though, since if that starts to happen, I will simply go to DIY more. I can get 500ml of 36mg nic base for $30. That is enough to make 2250ml of 6mg juice, which would last me over a year.

The only thing with DIY is that it can be frustrating. It's a lot of trial and error to get flavors right.

Just take all the precautions when mixing juice. Nicotine juice is dangerous, especially when you start dealing with 36mg and higher. Personally, I would never mess with anything over 36mg without hazmat suits, proper ventilation, and breathing apparatus.

Think a Nomex lined Racing Suit and a full face helmet will work? lol. I am reading about mixing and safety as we speak actually I have been reading about it almost all day while making a list of things I will need to do it safely. I have worked with far more toxic chemicals than Nicotine so I have a pretty good background in proper procedures for handling Hazardous Materials. Thanks for the warning though.

There's tons of information in the DIY subforum. I'm not sure of the nomes racing suit and face helmet. If your only working with 36mg, your fine. That's what I work with. I always wear gloves and goggles, just to make sure. Kinda treat it like I was in science class in school (a very long time ago it seems).

Anything over 36mg, you should really have a good ventilation hood and stuff, IMHO. Personally, it's not worth saving a few bucks to work with higher than 36mg.
