On the edge of insanity..
@Samurai....I know how you feel! lmao

@frazam.....I had this happen to one of mine too. I took out the batts and let it set for a few minutes and then reinserted them. Mine worked again for whatever reason. Guess it reset something, or maybe the atty needed to cool down??? I'm not quite sure. Good luck!

@redfox: tried doing the same. let it rest the whole afternoon, charged the batteries and made sure I wiped down everything. Still no dice :(

edit: ok. this is bad. I tried to fire it up again, still no dice. I checked the batts, they looked good. However, when I smelled the tube, it smelled burnt. Same with the button end of the unit. The batteries didn't smell burnt though. This sucks. I'll try to return it tomorrow for a replacement. I don't dare try other attys on it now. :(

As I have made a report here, I have also experienced a similar issue where my 3VO would not turn off even though my finger is not pressing the switch
and eventually the switch circuit started to smoke.
I have already contacted Joeffery in email and reported the matter.
He promised that he will send the replacement once the stock comes in.

vap3:
I will send back the malfunctioned 3VO switch once I receive the replacement so you can take a look.
Not fully sure but there may be a fault on the packing of a battery connector and the juice that leaked from carto has leaked all the way
inside the switch section of 3VO, which fried the switch circuit.

@asmoten: one of my atomizers that caused the flashing white light, also worked after many tries but the light would not turn off. I had to unscrew the battery tube right away... It happened just once though, then right after it just showed the flashing white light again for all attys and cartos i had. So it could be because liquid seeped through the battery connector? That sucks :( What can we do to prevent this from happening again? isn't there supposed to be a rubber gasket sealing the battery connector?

@frazam, asmotan - I have had the flashing white light just the one time here. I would hope the juice is not affecting the unit as it should be sealed I would think? I've been watching mine like a hawk the past couple days thinking that mine might be starting to go on me. We'll see...so far it is still working great.

Good luck!

Got mine today! The LR Stardust sucks on it. Dry burnt taste. I'll try the SR later. Couldn't try the DCT tank I bought cuz the carto that came with it wasn't punched, but I have some at home and will try it when I get there. I'm pumped!

.....got home and tried the tank......WOW!!!

You gotta dry burn the stardust before you fill it. It's got some factory lube on it. You gotta tilt it also to soak the wick and they do sometimes take a bit to break in. Give it time, they aren't too bad. My dctank rips on mine too though. Sounds like a rocket taking off!!:vapor: boge 3 ohm cartos are the way to go for the 5V setting imo:)

Ok, so the local supplier replaced my unit (though I've yet to use it. I asked a friend to have it replaced). Anyway, the guy said that the reason my unit failed was because I was using LR attys on it. Which is not true cause my atty is SR, and I used a multimeter to test it at 2.5ohms. Nevertheless, I was told LR attys or cartos should not be used with the evo. Is this true??? So no LRs and no DC cartos/tanks? I doubt this is true, but I just want to be sure.

Had a wierd situation with mine today. I hadn't used it for a couple of hours because I was trying some new ego 1.7ohm cartos using a kgo battery. Went back to my 3vo, pushed the fire button, lit up green, carto didn't fire. Took off the carto, cleaned the connection, still nothing. Tried a different carto, still nothing. Unscrewed the head, put it back together and still wouldn't fire the carto. Finally changed the batteries, success, working fine again. First time I had to change the bats before it flashed white. May be that one of the bats is failing. After they charge I'll let them rest and check them. Good thing I have three sets of bats.

Update: One of the batteries won't charge. Was one of the original bats.

Do you all think this would be a good starter VV Mod for a Noobie like me?

For the price its a nice starter IMO, its not really a VV but more of a selectable voltage but that makes it simple to use. My wife likes it and the only flaw I have found is after time the cap (the one normally on the top that is used to cover the battery tube) seems to lose the threading whenplaced on the bottom. This was a simple fix however all she had to do was drop it and slightly bend the top, now it screws on fine lol.

You want to vape this one, trust me ;)

Please tell me the new 3VO shipment is in! I'm starting to get antsy for my replacement. My lower voltage gear is not cutting it. Staring at a new 3VO that doesn't work is not helping me either. I know you guys are doing your best...but I just had to vent. Thanks.:toast:
