Been using blu for a week now, first e-cig I've bought. I'd like some recommendations for something better.
Things I like about the blue.
1. Charging case
2. Small size
3. Ease of use
4. No cravings for an analog smoke even during a night of drinking.

Cons
1. Short battery life
2. Doesn't hit as well after the initial hits.

What I'm really looking for from my e cig is something that hits consistently such as when you first smoke from a fresh blu catridge. Don't want one of those behemoths I see some vapors with, prefer one around size of blu. good battery life, at least last a work day. Ability to fill with own juice, at the rate I smoke these blue cartridges are going to add up. Similar charger case to blue is a plus, but I can live without.

I love the hit the blu provides, tried some co workers e cig and they are to harsh on my throat. I was a Marlboro 27 smoker, would like a flavor like that as well.

Thanks for the help folks, don't want to go back to my nasty pack a day habit.

I can't think of anything to recommend to you that would be like what you are describing. And I've never tried Blu so I don't know how they hit are taste. I (like many many others) have moved away from cigalikes all together. I currently am vaping with an iTaste vv3 and really like its size and functionality. So with that being said, Hi, and welcome to vaping and ecf. I figure someone will come along and help you with what you are looking for because I've seen other folks asking for advice similar to yours and they got pretty good feedback. So good luck to you.

Sounds like you want the size of a cig-a-like however they feature a tiny battery that must be recharged constantly. An eGo style on the other hand can be fitted with larger batteries for longer use and the ability to fill it with whatever juice you want. With a few eGo batteries on hand, you can have the best of both worlds; size and performance.

The best cigalike experience in effect would not be from a cigalike form factor. If you're bent on the form factor your only option is 808's or 510's. G6 from Halo or.... You'll have to search the forums as I forget the names of 510 cigalike co's. There may be others but those are the ones I know of.

Now for cigalike experience or the effect, you'll have to use a larger battery model like an EVOD twist or EGO model. Why not just go for it and get what most probably end up with anyway if you don't mind me being a little presumptuous. Just go ahead and get a nice VV VW mod like an MVP 2 or a VAMO or something and use an EVOD for mobility.

You might check out the eRoll by Joyetech. It is recommended by several people here on the forum as a decent cigalike. It's similar in size to the Blu. Here is a link to look at it and info about it:

Joyetech eRoll Starter Kit w/ PCC

The next step bigger, with a longer battery life and better performance would be an ego starter kit. The ego is about the size of a Sharpie marker, or a cigar. Here is a link to a good kit by Kanger. It comes with everything you need except the juice. If you use the code ECF at checkout, you get 10% off, so it's about $30 and it's free shipping:

Kanger EVOD eGo Full Kit - Vaping Me

I started off with Blu for about a week, and then got the Evod kit. It only took me a little while to get used to the size. The performance was a whole lot better than the Blu in my opinion.

Don't get hung up on size trying to replicate a cigarette. Quitting smoking you need nicotine, a satisfying vapor quality, and something to put in your mouth. The Evod kit is good but if you look at the MVP you get a battery that lasts for days for the same price. When I started I jumped a couple of devices quickly trying to get what I liked Which I had that money back now. Lol. Now I have several good mods but I use my MVP daily out of the house.

I started off with a Blu pack but returned it after a week because I didn't like the way it performed. Then it was an eGo with a mini Vivi Nova, then got into VV on a twist, then wore out the button on a Lavatube. If I had to do it all over... I would go straight to my trusty ProVari. As for what to put on your device... good luck with that. I've had to replace the container I keep all my vape stuff in with a larger one a few times and there's always the "next best thing" out there.

The cons you mentioned for Blu will be found in any cigalike to varying degrees. With current technology, those batteries are far too small to be powerful enough. Carts, by themselves, hold only a small amount of e-liquid. If you want to take hundreds puffs off of this thing, you'll need some kind of tank to deliver e-liquid and keep your coil nice and wet (that's what she said).

Years ago, I bought a Blu rechargeable kit. Like many members here, my impression after a few days was "almost". It was frustrating! The first few drags off a new cart and fresh batt were decent, but the performance degraded rapidly. I went back to smoking analogs.

From using the Blu, I got a whiff of the potential here. I really wanted to quit and I knew I had to upgrade. At first, the thought of using one of these larger units was not appealing. But I took the plunge and ordered a Halo Triton after reading many positive reviews on this forum.

I opened the package on the day it arrived, filled a tank with Halo's Torque 56, and took a few drags. Wow! It was like stepping off of a bicycle into a Ferrari. I knew it would be satisfying after just a few minutes (that's what she said). I ceremoniously threw away the rest of my pack of cigarettes and flipped them the bird. I haven't smoked or even had the desire to smoke since that afternoon.

Now I've got an iTaste vv, a Provari, and a large assortment of Protanks, Aerotanks and other toppers. I've been building my own coils and using organic cotton for wicks. I mix my own e-liquid and share my best creations with my friends and family who also quit smoking and started vaping.

Halo, eGo, and EVOD are all good choices for making a serious attempt at quitting using electric cigarettes. I would never recommend a cigalike.
