Received my black UD Bellus today. Threw some 2.5mm ID SS316l coils in there. First impressions: It's a nice 'RDTA'. I love the looks, very nice looking tank. Decent airflow. Good flavor, a little better than my precious Aromamizers. But this thing DRINKS juice, nearly twice the amount of juice as my Aromamizers. All in all, it's a really nice tank. I'm glad I have one, I also want an MT, but I don't think the Bellus will be dethroning my Aromamizers, but it will be in my rotation. Just my thoughts.

Put in a small 28g dual 1.5ish ID, 8/9 wrap in today. Reading .73 and tasty as hell. This tank kills on flavor.

Good move. 1.5 or 2 mm coils gives the perfect wick density to wick to almost the bottom of the channels, preventing leaks when refilling, works for Max vg or 60/40 juice. When I was using 2.5 mm coils I had to trim to the too of the channels or Id get dryish hits with thicker juice. The flavor trick is in the proper wick! I'm running 2 mm 28 ga kanthal 11 wraps, duals come in at .7 ohms. Running around 35 watts, flavor is great, dense vapor. Smaller coils really open up airflow, I'm running it about 1/2- 2/3 open. It's still great wide open, but it drops off the flavor a bit...

That's pretty crazy, I'm surprised. I like my Bellus better than my aromas, and my MTs. But.... If I want to empty a tank quick, the aroma and MT kill juice quicker. The Bellus is better for flavor, and the construction of it is really good. I just like it alot...

Unless you have a leak, this means it is producing more vapor than the Aromamizer. You could try turning down the wattage and tightening up the airflow.

Surprisingly my Aromamizer puts out bigger clouds. I wonder if it's just an illusion because there's more cotton in the Bellus..

My Bellus has went to crap , I must have shorted it out and melted the insulators , they look ok but every build I do the ohms are not correct and it taste like crap. No matter how I wick it and coil it , currently have 6 wraps of 26g kanthal dual coils and it comes out to 0.36 should be 0.50 ish . Can't locate a replacement build deck anywhere online or a fix . Anyone have any ideas ??

I run dual 26 gauge, 6 wraps and .36 ohms is about right. I don't think your deck is bad.

Last to the party and finally on page 50. :)

Still on my first build:

Dual coil, 28g, 2.5mm ID, 6 wraps, 5.3 ohms

Very surprised to find the sweet spot for the above build as high as 35w. The Bellus has great airflow IMO.

I've had no leaking, no dry hits, great dense vapour (much more than I expected) and good flavour.

Overall very happy.

The above build is a tiny bit hotter than I like, so I think I'll try the following next time:

Dual Coil, 26g, 2.5mm ID, 5 wraps, 0.3 Ohms

I want a build that can still be run on my DNA40's, and this should be very slightly cooler, but produce more vapour.

+1 for the Bellus

Up to now, I've been a glorified tootle-puffer with a couple Subtank Nanos on the side. Recent FDA rumors shaped my holiday sales purchase selections this year, and I went heavy on stockpiling factory coils and DIY e-juice supplies. And, in a fit of survivalist paranoia, I thought maybe I should look into this whole wick-and-wire thing too, so I asked Fast-tech to send a pair of Belli, some cotton, and a spool each of kanthal and titanium wire. And a jig, some ceramic tweezers, and some snippers and a tester too. I could shelf these things until the stock coils ran out and no more were for sale, I figured.

Then it all arrived (except the tester). Who can resist playing with Christmas toys? Not me. After watching a few vids and using one of my regulated mods as a tester, I sat down with the reading glasses and turned out a fine first-ever build, dual 24ga kanthal @ 0.4ohms, with workable pancake wicking that yielded only a tiny initial dribble out the airflow during the first top fill. I vaped my delicious 12mg 50/50 liquid until my ears started ringing from the nicotine. Wow, look at that stuff disappear! My loft started to fog up like a vape lounge on Friday night.

I approached the second Bellus with a confident swagger, adding a couple wraps to increase resistance a hair. Ran into the chamber-short bug, which took some head-scratching to figure out. Then I dumped the whole tank on filling: missing bottom o-ring y'know. Fixed that, and some poor wicking led to major seepage. Argh! Guess I'm a beginner after all.

So I read 30 pages of this thread and got it all sorted. THANK YOU! There's nothing better than getting the benefit of others' experiences. I'm top-filling normally with no fuss or muss. I bought some clearance-priced NJOY AC liquids in 3mg at the mall. Glass dropper works, but there's nothing like a DIY syringe to get 5mL in there instantly. Might be tough to explain that at the office, though.

As if I hadn't had enough "firsts" already, I went for the 26ga titanium, 8 wraps @ 2.5mm ID, yielding 0.17ohms, centered in the AFC w/short-fat wicks. First temp control settings: 40W @ 400F. Just wonderful stuff, and it's how I'll be running these from now on. Right now it's Dragonscape with morning coffee, and Paramour at night. Sit these on a shelf? I don't think so. Off to the basement lab to mix up some 30/70 3mg....

Happy New Year, everyone!

Just got my first bellus in today. Holy sheet this thing rocks just used to prebuilt coils that came with it. Killed two tanks of circus bear from VW and so tempted to rewick and throw my precious wakonda in there the taste is amazing. Blows my STM away but drinks the juice like water...hmm maybe some deadly sin first LOL.
