New Youde RTA the Bellus

Just got mine. Went through a few tanks on dual coil with 2.5 mm id wicking with rayon. Used the mike vapes technique with the wicks half way down the channels. Close air flow when filling and have turned it upside down before opening airflow. Not a drop has leaked so far so hopefully it stays that way. All in all great tank I'm pretty happy with it.
Mine from cigabuy finally arrived Friday, was out of town though. Built it last night, so far I'm liking it, seems pretty solid, haven't had an issue with the positive post, or leaking yet, time will tell.
Just a quick shout out to say thanks for all the tips posted for wicking techniques. After trying what I though was everything I decided to give this tank one last shot before sitting it down and never touching it again and I finally got it wicked correctly without any leaks. It works so good that I took it to work for a 10 hour shift in my back pocket with no leaks and the ACF was open the whole time. I even re-filled it on break and it didnt leak a drop.
Im loving this tank now that she doesnt leak out half my juice on a re-fill and shes vaping great on a dual 26ga coil coming in at .41, I have a Crius on the way but I plan on picking up at least one more if not two Bellus, cant be beat for the price!

I used the same method that Roxy posted a few pages back and also watched twisted 420s video review. I wasnt using enough cotton down in the juice channels before and when I went to tighten the top cap at all it would leak anywhere from 1/4-1/2 of my juice everytime. This tank definitely took me several attempts to figure out, wasnt as forgiven as some of the other tanks I got.
Zero leaks, zero dry hits up to 90 watts on 22g .025 build, could probably still go higher, but 55 watts is where i prefer it. leave the afc open when filling. I've run quite a few tanks through it.

I only watch him for mod reviews. As far as attys, he's not a very inspired builder, lol! He tries to put the same build in everything rather than assess each one uniquely.
So after messing around with several different lengths of wicking I've come to the conclusion that as long as you have the channels blocked, even from just past the top, it won't leak when refilling. But the "secret" is to NOT close the airflow.
This tank doesn't operate under vacuum like most we're used to, and by closing the airflow while filling, you ARE pressurizing the chamber when you close the top and forcing juice out the airholes, then suction takes care of the rest, just like a siphon. If you leave the airholes open, pressure stays equal as you fill and close, no leaks.
Personally, I wick it just like I wick my Goliath, with the tails resting on the "shelf" in the juice channel, and covering the entire channel side-to-side. Actually, it's even easier than the Goliath, since you don't have to worry about keeping cotton out of the threads.

Do you thin the wicks at all. It seems I have to with 2.5mm coils to get the best juice flow.
After a full week of use as my carry around atty and a half dozen refills with different juices, I decided to rewick and clean my coils. Thought I'd post a photo before I do. This was my first build, a conservative Kanthal 26 gauge 2.5 mm 5-6 wrap. The wicks were cut as you see them, straight across at the step in the juice channel. I've had zero leaks even during the refills, no dry hits, and I refilled always with the AFC open.
As I've said before, the design of the top fill is such that it effectively does not pressurize the tank, regardless whether you close the AFC or not. What little pressure builds from tightening vents directly to the chimney and out the drip tip. In short, the Bellus delivers on it's promises. I don't find the flavor quite up to attys with shorter chimneys (like Goblin Mini) but the margin is negligible.
Bellus is a great RTA with excellent features. Now, on to a more aggressive builds.

Apparently someone has motivated the USPS and Cigabuy, my package should arrive Monday, one month after shipping via airmail.
I'm going to grudgingly close the PayPal dispute if and when the tank actually shows up.
I'm still not impressed at all with Cigabuy's customer service and will not be using then again.

Well, I'll add to the drama. USPS sent me a text update that my package world show up Monday. Sweet. It was sitting in my hands when I got the text update. Showed up today.
Don't care for the fiddly, small deck. Don't care for the AFC ring, spins to easily. The finish and machining aren't the greatest.
1 ST wicking attempt was flood city. 2 was long tails and dry hit city. 3rd is perfect. Flavor delivery works better for me, airflow volume works better for me. I haven't tried top fill enough to comment, this is the first top fill I've owned.
I'll report again after living with it for a while, I know I'm late to the party. Looks good with the iStick 100.

Glad you finally got it at least. Yeah, only thing I don't really care for so far is the small deck. Just not much room to put anything in it other than basic dual 2.5mm ID coils. It doesn't really surprise me though, most of these dual coil Youde tanks have been the same way, goblin, GM, zeph, just seems to be a limit of the 22mm diameter and their designs. A 25-28mm Bellus with a huge V-style deck and large liquid capacity would be a sweet RTA.
