Hi
I've been reading alot thru these threads and need help. I wanna go with the Ego twist 1000mah and need help deciding for the rest. Reading thru all these threads i realized there are so much more to ecigs then i though. I always see people talking about: atty, heads, wicks, atomizer, clearomizer, drip, ohm, volts and i have no idea what these mean. can someone help me build my kit?

I was think about the mini nova but what else do i need? Which mini do i buy? because i know there different options. THanks

Hi, Krew! Welcome to ECF, and HUGE congrats on the big switch:toast:! You've chosen a good starter battery. I think the best idea for someone starting out is to get a small array of heating-elements to put atop it, since everybody has different favorites. Maybe along with that mini nova (it'll come with three different ohm heads to try), also pick up a kanger T3 and T2 clearo, perhaps a stardust (though I'm not a fan), and a few cartos. If you don't mind filling more frequently, my fave carto are the 1.7 ohm single-coil minis. Also, read those stickies for new members, and don't ever hesitate to keep coming back with any questions along the way, as we're happy to help:)!

Hi krew and welcome to ECF.
Different delivery systems:- note bolded Atty, Carto, etc is the abbreviated form:

Atomizer/ Atty- an element on to which 3-4 drops of juice is dripped- usually used for testing new juices because Attys are easy to clean. There are some diehard Atty users because it’s the best vape possible but very time consuming.

Cartridge/ Cart- a container with sponge (filled with juice) that is used with the Atty- juice drips on to Atty from filled cart and is vaporized- older outdated first “tank” system and prone to leaks unless the user is willing to buy extra seals and “fiddle” with them.

Cartomizer/ Carto- metal tube with stuffing and element. Holds anywhere form 1- 4 ml of juice. Carto is fully saturated and must be occasionally refilled when juice runs out. My Cartos last 1-2 weeks. Best Cartomizer I’ve found is the Smok Tech XL 1.7 single coil. Boge 2.0 ohm cartos will give a cooler vape. Always use single coil cartos with 3.3- 3.7 PVs for the best vape.

Carto+Tank- a Carto with a hole punched in it. Carto is than placed in a glass, metal or plastic tank which is filled with juice- juice saturates Carto by way of hole in Carto. My Cartos with a tank last, before tight draw occurs: light juices- 80-90 ml. dark juices- 50-60 ml.

Clearomizer (includes the Stardust and the Vivi Nova)- a plastic or metal tank with a wick and element. Contains NO stuffing. The rebuildable clearos come with heads (coil+ wick) that can be cheaply and easily replaced. When the head burns out simply unscrew the old head out and screw in new head- takes 10 secs. My Vivi Nova heads are lasting about 4 weeks BUT I wash the heads every few days. I've found the Vivi Nova to give the best draw.

When I first began vaping I used Boge 2.0 ohm single coil cartos (1 ml). After 1 month I switched to Smok Tech XL 1.7 single coil cartos (1.8 ml). Next I used a carto+and tank (3ml) setup. When the cracking and wicking issues were resolved I got into Startdusts (1.6 ml). I now use the Mini Vivi Nova (2.0 ml) rebuildables as I feel they give a better draw and are far superior in quality. It is VERY important to match the correct ohms delivery device to the PV we are using otherwise, dry hits or a weak vape will occur.

As for the ohms of the carto or clearomizer realize the Twist fires/ adjusts from 3.3 volts to 4.8 volts. 1.5- 1.8 ohms is good for 3.3- 4.0 volts. 2.4 ohms is good for 4.0 volts- 4.8 volts.

I was think about the mini nova but what else do i need? Which mini do i buy? because i know there different options. THanks
The Mini looks best on the Twist- not too large and holds approx. 2.0 ml. Most Vivi Nova Kits come with 3 heads- 1.8, 2.4 and 2.8 ohms.

First off... hello krew! Yeah there's a lot to grasp when first starting out on the switch to vaping - I know I was overwhelmed when I first started browsing around here - and frankly, I learn something new everyday after 3 months... give it some time and you'll be golden. If you're set on the eGo-T (which is good for starters - I'm still using my eGo-C), I'd first recommend a 2nd battery (one in-use one on the charger), the vivi novas have a solid reputation and will serve you well enough to learn what you like/dislike or are intrigued by (I'm still in that process myself) while reading up... As far as ViVi Nova goes, get 3.5ml Clear Tube and the 1.8ohm Long Wick heads (and a few backups)... then it's all up to the juice flavor of your pleasure. Just remember to let the juice absorb into the wicks a couple minutes before taking a "drag" and even take a few dry drags (no power) applied so that the wick doesn't burn (and make everything afterward do the same). GL and ask away - we're all here to help out!

Oh jeez, typing away and post to see all this info above me - either I've got to get quicker or save some info :) Either way I'm sure all the above is more than helpful krew enjoy the overload :)

Hi and welcome! Becky's got you covered, although I have a different clearo to suggest other than a "Stardust" type. I like having a small device to try new flavors and have been using Stardusts (with ongoing frustration), but I got these a couple of days ago and they are rocking! (I ordered mine from gotvapes, but they are sold out): AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | CE3 Cartomizer - Elite Bottom Coil CE3 Cartomizer

Bottom line:

2 Batteries
charger
liquid
and delivery devices - that would be vivi novas, kangers, clearos, etc. I suggest a couple of different kinds to experiment with.

ETA: Wow! What a great post by Vapoor eyes er! All that info in the time it took for me to type my little post!

You may also want to pick up a wall charger for when you are not around a USB port. Also a sleeve cone (type d) will make the vivi more flush with your ego. You may also want to look at a smaller backup battery to use while the twist is charging. I have an ego mini and it works as a backup as well as something to take on the go.

I have this exact same setup and I'm very happy with it. :toast:
