Hey all,

This is my first post on here and my first time smoking eCigs. After doing a lot of research and reading forums, I decided to buy the Joye 510. I purchased it from TheVaporPro.com. They arrived today and me and my wife we're excited to try them out. So I charged one of them up, per the instructions, set the product up and then we started using it! Now comes my question...

Does anyone know if the cartridges that come with the Joye 510 from TheVaporPro have nicotine in them, at all? Neither my wife or myself are getting ANY kind of sensation. And I've been smoke free for almost 3 months (we quit for our kids... 2 years old and 6 months). So I figured that these, even with a SMALL amount of Nicotine would give me some sort of buzz. But, I got nothing. I'm getting a lot of vapor to come out, just no sensation... Anyways, anyone know what mg the cartidges are if anything? I don't see it anywhere on their site.

Thanks and I look forward to using the 510!

Welcome DMister83!
You should differently feel the nicotine. When I started, I liked it so much it was hard for me to not nic myself out. My carts were labeled as 18mg. I was a 1/2 pack a day smoker and it was more then enough for me. I would drop an email to TheVaporPro and ask. At the same time, I would order some e juice online, you'll go through those carts pretty fast.

They do say on their website that the carts range from 0mg to 24mg. Maybe you got a 0?

I have also heard that the nic in the vapor is "processed" by the body at a slower rate so the onset of the buzz is more delayed than with an analog. That being said if you get nothing in 10 to 15 min then I would check to see what the nic level in the carts provided are. Get juice, small 3 to 5 ml samples in various flovors with various nic level and try a couple of suppliers to find one you like.

Hey DMister83!

Well, I don't have the answer, but...

I went to the VaporPro website, and looked at the starter kits. Is that what you got?

It says; "(5) Free Prefilled cartridges (Type/Color dependent on availability)" Then I went to (pretend) buy it and it doesn't ever give me an option as to what strength I want. And it only has Marbrlo flavor in the drop down list. I've never shopped with VaporPro, but I've never seen that before, with other companies, they usually ask you what strength you want. But I'm no expert and I don't know what your seeing or vaping, so I'm not down talking, just this is what I saw.

This added to your description, I'm guessing that you got a 0 nic. I agree with the others, call them and ask. And yes, on the little plastic wrapper the carts are wrapped in, I've always has a sticker that says what mg it is. Maybe it's on your invoice, what strength they sent you.

I'm sorry, but don't give up!

In 8 months I have bought a little here and a little there, this company or that company. There are only 2 or 3 US companies I keep going back to, and that depends on what I need. If I need atties I go here, If I need batteries I go there, if I need juice I go some place else. Sometimes! LOL

It does say your carts are refillable, so you could get a quick order of juice.

Also, right before I buy something I check coupon codes and discounts. I Google the name of the company and coupon code or discount code, whatever the company calls it, at the bottom of the shopping buggy. If it's a good deal, I upgrade the shipping, I don't want my stuff sitting in the back of a truck any longer than it has too!

Read through the forum, about juices, and the suppliers listings, you'll find lots of information. Yeah, I know, so much information it gets confusing! LOL

Wow. Thank you all for your quick replies!!

I'm looking on the packaging and I don't see any stickers or anything. All I see is a little message that says "MLB - HIB"... Don't know what it means, and a google search is bringing up nothing.

I'm assuming they're non-nicotine carts, due to the fact that I've been smoke free for 3 months so any amount (even 2mg) would give me some sort of feeling. Maybe not right away, but I'd feel something eventually. With these, I'm not feeling anything. Just a little bit of disappointment. haha. I guess I'll go buy some juices and see how those work. Anyone have some suggestions on good juices to buy? And from where?

Thanks everyone,
- Daniel

I got a reply to my e-mail from TheVaporPro, and they're saying that it has 11mg of Nicotine in it. 11mg is more than a light cigarette, correct? I used to smoke Light cigs, that's why I'm asking about those. If they do have 11mg of nicotine in them, and I can't feel anything from that, does it mean that 18mg probably won't have an affect either? I just bought some Smoke Juice with 18mg in it, so I'm hoping I didn't waste money on that. :\

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
- Daniel

Well I do think MLB is the flavor, that would be a MarLBoro type flavor. The HIB means, hib.

I'm pickin :) I have no idea what that means! LOL

I started vaping and I was still smoking analogs, I questioned the mg when I first got my 510, I kept upping the juice and started very quickly diy-ing.

But I agree with you, with yall being off analogs for a few months, that you'd feel it.

I think I read that it is hard to compare an analog to nic juice because, it depends on how you inhale (you are inhaling, right? LOL), how you vape compared to smoke(d), and the charts that tell this or that about analogs are from a machine that just draws on the analog, and reads the nic level. And no one really just draws, you have to come up for air sometime.

That's where I was when I gave up trying to find a nic juice mg level that would match my analogs. AND, I smoke cheap menthol light 120's. I might could get the same hit if I fill my cartridge with fiberglass and drip some ammonia! I think that's why it's been so hard for me to quit analogs, I think there is more I'm addicted to than just the nicotine.

So, what I did, in all my ignorance, was buy a ton of DIY stuff. I found that I like 24 to 36 mg/ml. Scubabatdan (a member) has a spreadsheet, I think V13 now, that I used to DIY.

I'm a paranoid mother of three grown kids, so I have to say it, but I'm sure you already are, be CAREFUL that the kids don't get into the juice! It's not my business, but, what if something happened, inner turmoil, I had to say it!

Check the suppliers here on the forum. I guess what narrows my juice buying down (in addition to a lack of funding) is that I only get juice that is labeled with the mg/ml. I don't get the hi-med-low stuff. I need to see it. I have 24, 36, 48, 100 and various levels of mixed stuff.

I love Tasty Vapor. (When I mess up a batch of diy, I can usually salvage it with some TV juice! LOL Really good stuff.) The have some off the wall flavors, my husband wanted banana walnut something or other. Yuck! But, to each his own. And TV had it.

I like non-fruity, coffee, cream, tobacco flavors. I've bought pre-filled from CigNot, I liked JuicyLiquid too.

What I do is, let's say I need atties, I shop around, get some in my shopping buggy, then check out that companies juice selection, then throw a few in, just to try out. I did that with Nhaler's drewbacco-1, and then went back for more!

How big of a pull are you taking? I just started using an ecig tonight, and my first few puffs I was going, "Seriously? The heck?" Then I realized I was taking itty-bitty draws of less than a second, then a big lungful of air (how I smoked analogs, I hate the taste!), repeat about 6 times a minute. When I started taking 5-6 second draws, that's when I felt it and I'm only puffing every 15 minutes or so.

Your mileage may vary, offer not valid in certain jurisdictions, check your local listings.
