So I decided to plug the USB cord into a port on my desktop pc and while the mod is still warm in the same place(near the top above the firing button), it is nowhere near as warm as when I had it plugged into the wall charger.
Probably be a much slower charge tho

However I do get worried at how quickly the battery warms up when vaping with it

Ya! Me too! Albeit, it is my first mod and I don't know much about the devices in general, I do notice that after about 5-6 good draws that it gets pretty warm. I thought that was normal. I didn't buy without reading a ton of really good reviews but now I'm thinking I should have went with my gut instinct and bought a Halo Tracer Twist instead. I like the Smok and it's had me off cigarettes for 3 days now but I don't need all this stress in my life. Lol!

Welcome and glad you joined. I believe your PC is supplying 1/2 amp. which is safe. I have two wall chargers for two different mods, 1 and 1/2 amp. I would not use the 1 amp until I received the ok from the mfg'r. 1 amp may cause a fire and or shorten the life of your battery/mod.
Could check with local distributors on the Smok site or email Smok.

    Thanks @BrotherBob !
Great info! I didn't buy the mod because of sub-ohm capabilities though I do enjoy the punch! I almost went with a Tracer or Triton 2 from Halo but I read so many good reviews on the Smok Stick and it was at a local shop so instead of waiting on shipping and spending more money on smokes, I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought the Smok. I feel like I may have already been bitten by the bug considering I'm already looking into upgrading only three days into this venture. ;)

Also, I feel so much better after quitting the smokes it's almost unbelievable! I have so much more energy, I'm not congested when I wake up in the morning, and I don't smell like a walking trash fire which is a plus in the confidence category. If I do upgrade, which is a good direction to go? Another pen style? Box Mod(is that correct)?
Something with a bunch of cool adjustable features?

Who makes a quality wall wart?

Anker makes good wall warts. I think Belkin is supposed to be good too.

Go vaping! Plenty of us have noticed significant improvements in health since switching, so welcome to the club!

Box mods tend to be more adjustable than pen styles, so I'd go in that direction. Get a nice box mod with replaceable batteries so you can keep the mod when the batteries wear out. It's important to get good batteries (LG, Samsung or Sony) from a reliable vendor (there are a lot of counterfeits around). You can find battery recommendations here, and a list of good vendors at the bottom:

    Mooch's Recommended Batteries | E-Cigarette Forum

It's also important to get a good charger. Xtar and Nitecore make quality chargers (though they also sell crappy rewrapped batteries - don't buy them) that don't break the bank.

You did the right thing. All those Halo hardware devices are available without the Halo "magic fairy dust" ($$)... it's a rotten business.
Beware the brands. Seriously, there are brands out there charging $100 for a $29 e-cig and warping the internet reviews with their nefarious marketing.
The industry is full to the brim of paid for reviews, fake reviews, affiliate commission reviews.
Smok do plenty of 'commission work' as well.
Always ask on a forum (or other community) about devices. It's a shark infested cesspool.

@BrotherBob Well now I'm a little confused and possibly concerned after reading about sub-ohm vaping being dangerous. How is sub-ohm vaping dangerous?
My mod came with a .15ohm coil out of the box. Is there a difference between the sub-ohm coil in my mod and the RBA's?
