Hi LS I felt the same way when I first got my 510, but now I love it and haven't had an analog since oct 18th, so stick with it! What strength e-juice are you topping off with and what strength are the carts? You may need stronger e-juice I use 24mg. What I do is just keep using the same cart for a while (you can use it for weeks as far as I can tell and just keep putting 2 drops or until it looks slushy and then 2 drops on the atomizer (atty). When it's real full or wet the first few pulls don't seem to give much vapor but the flavor is good (you may hear it gurgle a little if it's quiet around you). It's definitely a different pull than a cigarette. I go about 4-5 seconds slowly drawing the vapor into my mouth until you kind of have your mouth really full...you have to expand your jaw open while keeping your mouth shut around the 510 while slowly drawing. If you stand in the mirror and open your mouth slightly before inhaling you can see how much vapor you have or just puff it out without inhaling to see if it's hitting good. After a few pulls it starts hitting harder and still tastes good, then it starts to taste a little dry but the vapor keeps coming...this is when I top off with 2 more drops to the cart and 2 in the atty. Dripping like this seems to work best for me. It keeps you busy but no more so than getting out smokes/lighter/lighting up/using ash tray/etc. Some people notice a burnt taste when they first use a 510 because it has primer fluid in the atty that tastes nasty...just puff that away without inhaling and the flavor should come through quickly. I think you need to stick with it and just keep trying and you will figure it out!:D

thanks for the quick response. i seems to be working better. got hubby set up too. his is camel 26mg, mine is menthol 25mg. he seems to get better vapor, lots! we joke that is more of a "smoker" than i am. so im still experimenting, don't want to give up too soon. so, im correct in reading that u do need to keep dripping on the prefilled carts every 10 draws or so? and on the atty too? would love to prefill my own, do u have to take the filler out and replace, or do u need a filler? so many questions.........

Good to hear you guys are switching. A bit of info, if you have MANUAL batteries (push button) you can also drip 2-3 drops on the atty itself you should be able to vape that for about a cig worth. Thats what i have been doing for quite some time now and it works great. I dont even use the cart fillers, just take them out. But make sure you DO NOT DRIP ON AUTO BATTERIES. It will leak into the battery. anyway hope this helps. GL and Welcome!!!

im confused. the cart filler is the filler that came with the cart from the factory? and there was a empty cart already in a bag too. i can just add liquid to the atom and use liquid (2-3 drops) in the cart that gave me, but take the filler out and leave it out? maybe that's why im not getting alot of vapor. please correct me if im wrong. my hubby seems to have no problem getting alot of vape going. he says its because he inhales more. if i can remember starting analogs, i used to always french inhale, because just inhaling was harder for me

Yes that cotton like material, you can take that out and just drip on the atty(e-cig dripping if you want to look it up on youtube), you dont have to do that though, its just a suggestion. Another tip is when you take a drag make it long 3 4 5 seconds and dont have to suck too hard. But remember only drip on atty if it is manual. If you want you can pm me, or just search the forum you will find out everything you need to know. Hope this helps.GL

im confused. the cart filler is the filler that came with the cart from the factory? and there was a empty cart already in a bag too.

The empty cart is only to protect the atty in transport.

i can just add liquid to the atom and use liquid (2-3 drops) in the cart that gave me, but take the filler out and leave it out?

Dripping is when you put a couple drops directly on the atty---this you will have to repeat as soon as vapor starts to really decrease. With this method, you can remove the filler in the cart.
Leaving the filler in means you add drops to the filler. There is no need to take the filler out every time you do this.
I use the tea bag as filler---there is threads for this method in Tips & Tricks. Again, when vapor decreases all that is needed is adding drops. I usually add and then let sit, add a few more. If I'm in a hurry, I add three drops, blow into the cart, add three more, blow again, add a couple more and it's usually full. This last me one/two hours.

maybe that's why im not getting alot of vapor. please correct me if im wrong.

You do have to do things a bit differently--slowly take a pull, get a mouthfull, inhale.
You'll also learn every atty is a different animal---no two are alike.
Also, some attys work great right off and others need a break in time.
For more vapor, consider using VG.

my hubby seems to have no problem getting alot of vape going. he says its because he inhales more. if i can remember starting analogs, i used to always french inhale, because just inhaling was harder for me

Hope this helps

Your atty needs a little time to break in. As another poster said, there is primer fluid in the atty and it takes a little time for the taste of it to disappear. Next time you use a new atty you can blow out some of the fluid by putting your mouth over the threaded end and blowing. It won't get all of the fluid out but will get most of it so that the horrible taste of the primer fluid will not last as long before the flavor of your chosen liquid begins to come through.

I just found this in another thread, and it makes SO MUCH difference!!!

If you put a paperclip down the hole in the end of the cart you can remove the cart end. There is then another piece of cart with a hole about 1/4" in, this too can be removed with a paperclip.

By removing both pieces you greatly improve the airflow & the amount of vapor produced.

It's up to you but you can replace the outer mouthpiece if you wish it doesn't seem to effect the amount of vapor or pull.
