I just found this link in another members siggy: Myth: Nicotine Kills

That's the first time I've ever seen my website quoted on here. I'm all proud :D

I'm sorry to hear your kids aren't more supportive. Both my kids thought the idea was brilliant. My son, who's now 19 and goes to college brought several of his friends into the store I used to work at to get them e-cigs and several just gave him money and said "hook me up". He's always hated that I smoked..my daughter did as well, but they sing praises of e-cigs to everyone, often trying to convert their friend's parents who smoke.

My parents...on the other hand...

When they asked if they had nicotine and I said yes, the immediate response was "so you're still smoking". However, over the past 19mos or so, they've started to hear more about them and my Dad even said he wished they'd been around when he quit 30 years ago.

Just give them time. When they see the changes in your health, they'll come around.

Best of luck to you and happy vaping!!

Thank you everyone for the support, suggestions and advise. I realize that sometimes your loved ones and family can be the worst critics. Blah...

Ultimately in the end, whomever chooses to be negative, it will not change my decision a bite. Not saying that vaping won't bring some side effects but it certainly isnt the killer that analogs are. In time they will see that I guess.

I like the idea of putting together a brochure type thing with information and facts to hand out to those who question it. That kinda will shut up the non believers to some degree. I can put bullet facts followed up by websites to reference. Then when they've educated themselves they will be in a better position to have an intelligent discussion!

Brochure idea is great! Also might help convert some smokers I know too and help save their lives!

Again, thank you everyone for the support and kind words. It has helped reaffirm my choices!

Yup - my brochure is geared more at pointing people that are already interested enough to ask me questions... to point them here, primarily. Another big question they usually ask is those things are expensive, aren't they? and Where do you buy yours from? So of course, I include the links to the suppliers I use, and again reference folks back here - to vendors registered on ECF. Mine's more a brochure-lite ;) Compared to the more detailed/informative/technical brochures. Need to hand 'em all to some folks, others, hand 'em one, and they can come online and read the others also - and choose to create their own, or find one that they wish to share.

Either way, this place is definitely the first stop for anyone considering buying/switching!
