Newbie, but so far so good! Can you help with some advice?

All of you are amazing. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you helping me out with this. And to KraKsX, I tend to do the same thing, as far as turning it into a hobby. I think that's going to help me as well. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this forum today, it has already helped me immensely, and I can see how it will continue to help me in the future. Let me say thank you again, not just for me, but for my wife as well.

As you can see from my picture, smoking ages you. I'm only 46 (just turned yesterday) but people say I look older. What do you think?:p

OK, just kidding. I'll probably change my picture soon. But for now, it gets the point across, no? :p

As a hobby (nothing wrong with that) my main goal is not to spend more on ecigs then I did on stinkie sticks.
When I first started, my goal was to save money.... That went out the window real fast, lol (so did not spending as much, but once you have a good amount of battery's, it levels out pretty well, I hope)

Just keep going, trust me, vaping only gets better, taste buds start picking up new Flavors.
Keep trying new eliquids!

Me, I like Irish cream in the morning and night, then during the day, sweet fruit like things. Really liking some Cotten candy like Flavors, I think I have about 50 different juices right now, very few did I not like (bacon was good, but don't want to vape it again, if that makes sense, it's 'weird)

Here are some things your wife might like:
Designer Egos at The Vapor Girl: One for your every mood~ Over 60 variations and counting!

Thanks for the question and all that replied. I'm new to ecigs and am learning a lot.

Great! Thank you for making me feel like I was able to help someone else, even if I'm a complete newbie. Even if it was only my question, and all the help actually came from the people who responded, it always makes me feel good to be able to help others.

My wife hasn't been able to find a liquid flavor that she likes. She is adamantly opposed to any "flavors" and only wants something that tastes pretty much exactly the way her Marlboro Lights tasted. She found that with the NJoy Gold disposables, and since one lasts her about a day & a half, I told her to stick with them. I'll try various things, and have her try them, so that maybe I can find a juice that she'll like. But for now, if the NJoy Gold works for her, that's what I'll get her. The only problem is that sometimes it is hard to locate them in our area. The closest stores that carry them are over an hour away. In fact, if you want anything other than Square Red or Green, we have to travel over an hour (we live in a small town in the mountains).

My wife does say thank you very much for thinking of her, and giving me the link. Her words: "That's so sweet that he thought of me, I think you found a good site."

I have 2 eGo 900Mah batts with 2 Mop Head Clearomizers and only about a month into vaping. I like the eGo's and until the batts die will I consider going with an upgrade. I started with a Cig-a-like brand too. I think most people are introduced to vaping via the corner drug store/gas station offerings.

Great to hear both of you are moving forward.

I have seen some comments of several liquid brands where people have found the close taste to Marlboro Lights. I don't recall off hand where it was. Search the forum and web.

E-liquids probably will not be a exact match to a particular brand but you likely will find something that does give a close cigarette tobacco flavor. Sometimes it is all in how you inhale and exhale. I find that the flavor(s) in a liquid come out on inhale and exhale.

Awww, lol
You are both welcome

I know there is a post somewhere (couldn't find it) people are trying to make a juice like the NJoy, as far as I know, it hasn't been finalized yet (hard to replicate)
I did find this:

Try the texas from vaporstation .Has actual tobacco taste to it .Smells like fresh pack of smokes :)

Stay around, I'm sure it will get a decent remake for a great price.
Always new stuff coming out, so you never know.
I converted a friend to vaping, she only likes some menthol-ish tobacco stuff (at first) every new flavor I have, when she is around, I always make her take a toot or two. Could be a great way to get her off NJoys
Me, now, I don't even like tobacco anymore. Yuck :p

Tip: don't pull hard on a eCig (does nothing) just lightly pull, and with eLiquid most nic is absorbed via the mouth, not lungs. Also exhale from nose could change flavor/ feel
As they say: play with the vapor
:D

Thanks for the leads on finding something my wife will like. I won't give up, I'll keep searching until I find the one that works for her. Plus, as a bonus, it gives me an excuse to try a bunch of different products! Try as I might, I just can't find a downside!

Lol, ok, your turn, what Flavors do you like?

Well, as I said, I'm really new to this. The only flavors I've tried are Tobacco, Classic Tobacco, and Sahara from Apollo. I have Banana Nut ordered right now, & then I don't know what I'll try next. I'm kind of easing into this.

I ment more in life, like as a night cap, I'll often have a Irish cream night cap, so I got the Irish cream eLiquid
But just keep trying stuff, all vendors listed here are the best. Because if they aren't, they get kicked off this site.
Taste is subjective - so what I like, you might think tastes horrible.

My congrats to you & your wife, you're both doing great & I hope your wife's medical problem improves rapidly. I realize it's early in the game, but, you may check into the DIY section here on ECF. I found myself blowing thru my daughter's inheritence trying to find an off the shelf juice & found that adding a little of this or that to VG or PG made all the difference in the world, IMHO plus it's a huge savings. Just saying....

I'll give it a try. If I could find one that tastes like Gentleman Jack on the rocks, I'd be in heaven!

Thanks, I'm sure I'll start going the DIY path soon. Here's a question...what's the deal with VG or PG, and the various mixtures of each, ie. 70%-30%, 60%-40%, 50%-50%?
