Hi all! I am very new to all this. My boyfriend bought me a ego kit about mid October.I wouldn't put the money into it cause I wanted to be able to buy my cigerattes still . I started using it immediately. I have not looked back. I love that I don't wake up coughing my head off :) I don't smell like an old ashtray anymore either. I am able to brag that I have been off analogs as you all say for 2 weeks and 5 days now. I also liked having that extra money to waste on goofy stuff :) Ok now why I am posting. I keep reading what everyone says about juice, ohms and all that other stuff that goes way way over my head. I hate the taste of burnt whatever it is I get from time to time. So looking for ideas to get away from the burnt wick deal. A dingy blonde here so try to keep things in simple terms for me. :)

Thank you Cella. That tank i rather have yet to see it seems a little awkward of a system o_O

my 2 cents just because im unfamiliar with how they work. i can see a problem if you chain vape with it. I mean umm like the wick cant keep up if youre hitting a few deep inhales. or just kicking back and vaping for like an hour and enjoying.

if you smoke it slowly does it still taste burnt?

If it is only tasting burnt from time to time then you are not allowing time for the wicks to keep up with the way you are toking on it. Can't hot-box ecigs like you do with real cigarettes. And these cartomizers are not made to last forever. Can you tell us what type of replacement you bought? It may not work, if it is not the same kind that you started with.

They don't work at all..well the 3 I have tried. Thinking they are just duds or not the right ones.

Probably the wrong ones. Oh and now that I look closer you have bought from a site in the UK? Let me suggest you try one of these
Kanger Mini ProTank II w/ Removable Drip Tip

It comes with an extra head and they are very easy to replace. Try and nurse the old one along, by dumping the juice and rinsing the tank out.
Good luck and let us know.

:)

Can you take a pic of what you have? We may be able to help direct you to the right heads if the ones you ordered are in fact incorrect. A picture is worth 1,000 words sometimes :2cool:

And definitely follow Sugar_and_Spice's advice on nursing along what you have. Also - pulling heavy and hard will cause the burnt taste as others have said - the wick cant keep up with you! It happens. I handle all of my Fiance's stuffs for vaping, hes a brilliant fellow just NOT with technology (which to him includes vaping) he had a tendency for super hard draws - so I set him up on a really simple bottom clearo called an evod. It has wick and coil in the bottom as opposed to the top and it seems to work with gravity and not give him the dry burnt hits when he is overzealously puffing. :vapor:

Welcome to ecf, hopefully we are able to get you on track! Happy vaping!

There is a learning curve to vaping. You might want to work on your drawing. If you draw too hard or long, you will dry out the wick and it'll taste burned. Do not try to inhale with a tank. Draw into your mouth like through a straw. No longer than 2-4 seconds at a time. Don't double inhale. Wait 3-5 seconds minimum between draws. If you are getting a burned taste more than once every 10 draws or so, your coil might be old or dirty. If your juice is dark (can't see through the bottle easily) it will clog up your wick faster. Tip the closed bottle of juice. If it flows like maple syrup, you have to wait longer between draws for it to absorb into the wick. Hope this helps, Welcome to the forum. Good luck and have fun!
