I would like to also suggest the itaste vv v3 as one of the top beginner setups. I definitely feel that as a long time smoker whatever you get you must make sure that it is variable voltage. The ability to change voltage will make a world of difference. Changing voltage can make certain flavors pop or taste better, it can also have an affect on throat hit allowing you to tailor the effect to your liking. I started with an ego twist and loved it, however I dislike the fact that the center pin which makes contact with your atomizer is very fragile and will become depressed or sunk in if you tighten you atomizer too much. The itaste vv v3 is also easier to charge via micro usb unlike the ego twist which requires disassembly to charge. I love my v3 and still plan on buying many more pv's but this will always be my grab and go with no fuss vaporizer. Also the kanger protank and protank mini (both available in version 1 and 2) are great tanks that are easy to clean, refill, and act as a first and last tank for a lot of people. It is reasonably priced and performs very well.

Hopefully you aren't too confused considering the lingo. Ha! I don't even know what a dual chamber carto is that I read I this thread. And I've vaped over two years. Don't let the lingo scare you. Sometimes we forget how to explain it simpler. The thing you put on top of the ego batteries you may look at can vary a lot and everyone likes different. There are Protanks, Vivi Novas, evods, cartomizers, etc. everyone prefers different and the fun part of vaping is eventually once you get off cigs and start on one of them, you will enjoy trying the different options out there. We have a lot more choices nowadays in vaping so a good thing is when you hear of something that sounds good, look for it on YouTube and check it out. A lot of us have wAtched many Youtubes. Next important thing to keep in mind is finding an eliquid you really love can be a challenge so you will eventually want to try out different small samples from various vendors. Some love fruits or dessert flavors, or tobaccos, or teas, or coffees, etc. don't be surprised that what you thought you might love to Vape isn't good as a Vape, and you may prefer vaping a flavor you had no idea you would love. But yea, finding what type of juice you like is important and a bit of a search at first.

I am also a newbie and all the new lingo was really making my head spin. Thanks so much MiamiMom63 for breaking it down a little. Any suggestions of best places to order sample paks of Ejuice? Thanks again!

OK. Thanks for all your help I really appreciate it. I will look into a eGo kit and get back to you when I get it. I will also look into a better tank as well.

Thanks

I'm at week #2 with a cheap FIN starter, some Blu cartomizers and about to purchase my first decent starter kit. I've gotten some Johnson Creek juice from a friend and was able to successfully clean/refill cartomizers without burning anything up :)

Took suggestions from the amazing forum members here and not trying to go crazy with exotic equipment...YET. Bad side is I'm a gadget junkie with guitars and related accessories ands mods. Little did I know this vaping would be so similar..."give me strength". The BIG thing is to get the cigs out of your life. Vaping is doing that for me - beautifully; even with the cheapest of rigs. I now feel really good about stepping up to a good quality starter kit and trying a friend's DIY juice as well as a few from recommended suppliers.

Go for the eGo or similar kit that has a good rating from members here. Just turn away from the analogs! That is numero uno!!! Best of luck.

I got the eGO twist today with the EVOD tank and the larger battery so I can vape and charge at the same time. So far so good, I am really enjoying this one compared to the Blu. I like the fact that I can change it to get a harder hit then the default selection it comes with.

Thanks again for all the help

Very awesome!
