Once you get the hang of things, you might be DIYing (Do It Yourself) juice to fill in your carts instead of buying it premade. That is for another day. You've already had too much thrown at you. There are many YouTube videos on refilling/care/maintenance of the Joye Ego.

You did good- the Ego is the easiest and best way to go until you graduate into gadgety mods and what nots. My Ego lasts all day, maybe even 2, without needing a recharge.

You will be playing around for quite some time with juices. You might hate this big bottle you just ordered or you might be just fine with it. Remember there are 100s of choices so don't give up. buy 5 sample bottles next time (3-6mls) rather than 1 large (30mls).

I ordered from blue mist, and loved the prices! I bought 180ML bottle for $35!!!!!!!!!
I've paid that much for 30ML before, but I went to blue mist just to order their menthol drops (you add the drops to any juice, and bam you have menthol) and their sweetener, but between my wife and I we spent about a hundred on juices from them. She is enjoying the menthols she got from them. I think I need to let my big bottle sit for a bit before I try it. I have 240ml I ordered from someone else to go through before I get into that bottle! For menthol I actually REALLY liked "nprt" it's a dekang (Chinese) flavor, I was mixing it 50/50 with my camel juice, and wow was it strong! Right now I have three bottles from mist-stix that I'm working through that I'm enjoying of menthol its their "cool" juice, I also bought 5 bottles that they had on sale it's called double mint, it was $5 per 30ml, their normal price is $7 per 30ml, I ordered a bunch from mist-stix, because of his prices, and it was hit and miss for me, but I was trying some new flavors, like "red bull" I thought it tasted like cough syrup, and my wife wanted to try their peanut butter, it tastes like dirt. Literally like dirt, and it took us forever to get that taste out of the atty, but I loved their 2 menthols I talked about, and their RY4, and honey. Anyway, good luck, and enjoy your new hobby of stalking your mail person!

I thought about going ahead and ordering some smaller bottles from some other recommended sites BUT I wanted to first feel the Vapor before getting in over my head with lots of purchases. I was REALLY close to doing so though hehe. Thank you for the advice!

Also I wanted to ask: What's the difference between an atomizer and an atomizer cone? I see how long an atomizer might be able to last, but how long will the cone last? I ask because I bought the eGo standard kit.

Oh my the choices are INSANE! I am praying that this'll work for me. It just seems like so much fun for it not to!

BTW: What is DIY?

Levitas.... YES! The choices are sooooo insane! Today I was telling myself that I thought I was supposed to be saving money after quitting analogs. Ummm, well.... that couldn't be further from the truth

It becomes quite fun checking out all the different vaping/juice sites out there. I consider this a really cool hobby. It's great! Lots of VERY nice people on this forum too. The seasoned veterans are always so willing to help we newbies out too!

I have been having such a BLAST trying out different liquids, ecigs...etc. I already have two mods in my collection and am waiting to order my first Ali'i box mod from RNR Manufacturing next Friday when they re-open their site for orders again.

Tomorrow will mark my one month anniversary of being analog free. I had the exact same concerns you have now wondering if vaping is going to work for you. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed!!!

BTW.... You made an excellent choice by ordering yourself an eGo kit :vapor:

An atomizer cone is just the part that screws in over the atomizer to make the eGo more sleek looking. It doesn't have any use other than making it look nicer and will last forever.

Oh, sweet! Thank you!

I've been looking at the different flavors at Liberty Flights and Blue mists and I've a question or two more. (probably over my head, haha!)

The concentrated nicotine liquid you buy from Blue mist, you have to buy additional flavor liquid and mix your own right? What about the super concentrated nico-liquid? What do you dillute it with?

To be honest, I don't know if I'd like the weird flavors quite yet BUT who am I to say so until I've tried. Right now, I know I want a good menthol flavor and I looked into some of your guys suggestions.

So far I've got Liberty Flights
Blue mists
I forgot the site name that Issac recommended

Are these the prime places? Anywhere else really super awesome? Or any other super delicious or powerful menthol flavors?

The cone is basically decoration.
You will have the battery side which screws onto the atomizer/cartridge side.
The cone screws over the top of the atomizer side from what I can see, for appearances only. If you lose it, they sell them for like a quarter.

Now, you will recieve 5 carts to fill with your juice. It already comes prefilled, so try that out first. It tastes crap, but I used up all 5 of mine in a week because Im cheap like that. Then I made sure all 5 of those carts had been rinsed out and dried and then squirted in my good juice. I only fill 1 cart at a time. The other 4 are empty in my drawer waiting for their turn.

Besides reading on this forum, YouTube helped me visualze it all.

Also, I know you are hung up about the menthol. I dont smoke them so no help there, but you WILL eventually want to try fruits or creams or coffees, etc. If you buy samples now and hate them, don't throw them away... in a month or two, you might crave them.

And another thing! Im from St. Louis- guess what question I want to ask you?????????

First off, Hello, and second HELP ME!?
Hello to you and welcome to ECF Forums. Glad you found us.

I am 26 years old, have been smoking 'analogs' as you guys seem to put them for 10 years solid, I am tired of this crap and I want an alternative! Is Vaporing for me? I dunno. I am too darn afraid to invest to find out! I search online for testimonials and the best place to purchase these products but ALWAYS end up changing my mind! So frustrating. I just want to quit smoking cigarettes, but I cannot leave my habit cold turkey... I am NOT strong enough at this point. What can I do? I smoke a pack a day minimum, Kool Milds (Gotta have menthol!) Everything seems too confusing, there are SOOO many products and now I see you can refill your own '...' hell I don't even know what you refill!

Congratulations on your decision to come here and seek out information from people who are vaping and people who have been in exactly the same position as you are in. You are not alone in your search for information. This forum is a wealth of information and is filled with wonderful people who will do everything in their power to get answers to all your questions. Remember: There is no such thing as a dumb question. All questions deserve an answer and each question is important. So keep the questions coming.

Some places say refilling on your own is DANGEROUS. Others say they do it with no problem.
Hundreds of Thousands of vapers use the refill method every day. I would be leary of anyone that states refilling is Dangerous. That sounds like a scare tactic to me.

Some people recommend the SUPER expensive products!
Vaping does not need to be expensive. It can be if you get carried away with wanting the newest, fastest, biggest, brightest, etc. Vaping can and does save most of us a ton of money every month.

Others say vaporing doesn't work at all!
Vaping is not for everyone. I would venture to say that 99% of the people who try it do just fine with it. There will always be people who can not vape. There can be a variety of reasons why it may not work for them. The only way you will know if it will work for you is if you decide to give it a try.

Who out there smokes or used to smoke a pack of mentholated cigarettes a day who now vaporizes can give me some advice?
I smokes 1 1/2 + packs a day for 45yrs. However, I have not smoked menthol. Smoking is smoking. Finding a menthol juice to suit your tastes is what you need to focus on. Others here will gladly help you with that task.

What do you use?
I use eGo's, Riva's and ProVape-1. I use juices from several suppliers. Not every juice a supplier makes is to my liking. Each person has his/her own idea as to what tastes good and what does not taste good.

Where do you get it?
Equipment: 99.9% of my equipment comes from Liberty Flights
Juice: Want2Vape, Freedom Smoke USA, Gourmet Vapors, Backwoods Brew, Prime Vaping and a few others.

Is there any easier way to get the stuff I need locally?
Many communities have e-cig suppliers. ECF forum has a huge list of suppliers. People here will gladly help you find the nearest good supplier in your area.

Or is it all online?
Most e-cig suppliers have an online store. Many allow people to come to them to purchase equipment and juices. Note: I said many - not all.

Does it really work?!
It worked for me. I smoked for 45+ yrs and stopped smoking the day my e-cig equipment arrived. I had to work through a couple trying days, but I upped my nicotine juice level and bit and breezed right through those trying times. Remember: you will go through a detoxing period. Your body is used to tobacco and all the the chemicals found in cigarettes. it is not easy. It is not impossible. Hundreds of thousands of us have done it and will help you if we can. Just shout out that you are needing some help. ok? ok.

I need to feel it hit my lungs, that's the biggest thing I think.
The equipment you decide to use and the juices you use will be the deciding factor in throat hit and taste.

So anyways, I am sorry if there's already a thread out there like mine and I sound like a broken record. Also, I am sorry if I have overstepped any rules or regulations. As you may tell, I am brand new to vaporing and I just want an alternative to smoking cigs. Can anyone help?
I hope my notes here have helped a little. There are many people at this forum with more knowledge and experience than I have. They are always willing to help too.

RunDown: I smoke a pack of mentholated cigs a day
Looking for an alternative
Does vaporing really work well enough to stop smoking cigs
My budget is around $100 at this point
In my opinion, you will need a battery large enough to keep you going. The general rule of thumb is small batteries mean short vaping time before they need to be recharged. Larger batteries are longer running times and require less vaping time. I started with the small battery 510 and outgrew it in about 4 days. I switched to the eGo's and Riva's and have had excellent results with them. I have been vaping for about 11 months. They are still serving me well.

Liberty Flights is the supplier I know most about. They offer complete Riva 510 kits for about $30. They also offer complete eGo kits for about $39. They provide all members of ECF forum a 20% discount on all orders. They ship via Priority Mail and your entire order ships for just $2.99. They also have a juice selection. They are known for excellent customer service. The USA office is located in San Diego.

Thank you all for reading my long rant!!! and for any help available!!!
Wishing you all the best. Keep those questions coming.
Happy Vaping,
Paula

The St. Louis question is... where did you go to high school?
But your answered summed it up, lol. I went to Ritenour, but please don't be too hard on me- we really aren't criminals/gangsters/or whatever they say about us!

When trying to decide on my first flavors, I just typed in the search box and poured through the juice reviews. Good luck!

Okay, for some reason I cannot make a new thread so I will use my original thread!

I do not have a drip tip BUT I tried dripping with an empty cartridge and here are my thoughts/questions...

WOW, I am using smooth menthol e-liquid from liberty flights and WOW I can really taste the menthol WAYYY MORE when I dripped over using the cartridge. It seemed like the TH was a little more powerful as well. I only dripped 1 drop because I didn't know if by not using an actual drip tip if I was going to get liquid in my mouth. But I didn't, probably because I kept it down but overall I liked it. I guess I am going to just drip at home and use a cartridge on the road. But I have a question or two...

-It's okay to use my cartridge as a drip tip right? The only purpose of the drip tip is to have something to put your lips on without burning them with the atomizer right? I eventually plan on buying a drip tip (with my next order-after I try out all of these flavors coming soon) but it's okay to just use the cart right now isn't it?

-Can I use a cartridge after dripping? Or do I need to try and vape all of the juice out first? I only put one drop and took a few puffs, the more I puffed the harsher it was getting so I assume that means that I nearly used all of that one drop? As long as there's vapor that means there's still liquid of course right? Can it harm the atomizer to vape without liquid?

THANK YOU!

Yes, it's fine to use the cartridge as a mouthpiece (tip: line up the oval shape inside the atomizer with the oval shape inside the cart to avoid melting - drip or no drip)

It's ok to drip and then put a cart on and use the cart, but you'll likely be vaping up whatever flavor that you just dripped a moment ago so there may be some flavor combination going on, it'll burn through the dripped flavor and start the cart flavor soon enough. IT can harm the atomizer to burn it dry for any period of time (momentarily is ok, like for a few second).
