I really enjoy vaping when i get my equipment to work right but i am really tired of spending money on equipment that doesn't perform. I have looked over the site and I learned a lot but still have questions. I bought a blu disposable and liked the experience but wanted more vapor and more throat hit. Found a Bud kiosk at the mall and bought battery and refillable cartomizer. It was the small cartomizer with a flat tip. It had better vapor but was still very weak. I think I have an ego mega battery because it has variable settings of low, medium and high. I went back and bought a bigger tank from Bud and it worked better. Had great throat hit but vapor still lacked. It also leaked like crazy. Took it back and got a replacement and it leaks also. Bought a Cig2O and it had good vapor but not much throat hit. Bought a Blu recharge pack and it has the best vapor but really no throat hit without it being menthol. I put the cartomizer from the Blu on my ego battery and the vapor is strong but weak throat hit. It also burns up really quick. I want to purchase some type of cartomizer/tank that works on my batteries that produces good vapor, a throat hit and won't leak. I like refillable types and don't mind the size. I am not trying to quit smoking because I don't smoke cigarettes at all. I really like vaping. I just don't really understand what to buy to keep my battery that I have. Resurrector LR, phiniac tanks, single or double coil? I have purchased six different bottles of e liquid and only one is good tasting. The Bud really irritated my throat after a while. So, If I have what I think is an Ego Mega variable Volt battery, what type of refillable tank would anyone suggest. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

What day is it
90% of throat hit is the juice. What nic level are you using?
If you have the ego I think you have, your top voltage is only about 4.2V.
Stick to a LR carto for your tank. The tank type makes no difference other than issues of leaking, sliding or ease of refilling. The tank has no effect at all on throat hit or vapor production, assuming it's not letting your carto run dry.
I would stay with single coil LR cartos. The resurrector should be fine. A dual coil really needs pretty close to 4.5 to 5V to work well.
If your battery is putting out 4.2V, you use a 1.5ohm carto and your juiice has a decent nic level, there is no reason you shouldn't be getting good vapor and throat hit. You'll be vaping over 11.5 watts and that's more than enough power.
That's even a little warm for my tastes. I'd up it to 1.7 or even 2ohms. For most people the "sweet spot" is about 8-10 watts, but it depends on what type of juice you're vaping. Lower for fruity flavors, higher for tobaccos.

Find out what your battery is really putting out. Little cigarette batteries don't put out the voltage for really good vapor production. You need to stay at or above 3.7V and the little batteries can't maintain that for long, if at all.

To figure the watts, use this formula: Voltage X voltage (from the battery) / resistance (the ohms of the carto or atty)

Plug in the numbers. If you're between 8 and 12, you're good to go.

VG makes lots of vapor, but it mutes the throat hit from the nicotine. PG has the best flavor but less vapor production.
The higher the nic, the more the throat hit. The higher the watts, the warmer the vape. It's a balancing act.

Welcome to ECF Trajan3, was gonna post on the evils of nicotine addiction.

Many flavours and mixtures out there that will give you what you want without the nic.

Lots here are completely nic free and still enjoy vaping tremendously.
That said, a lot of them are into DIY making their own mixtures.
They can get exactly what they want that way.
Maybe check out the sticky threads at the top of the DIY sub forum.
There is tons of info on tweaking up your juices.

Enjoy the journey, all the best:vapor::vapor:

I have been vaping the 0mg, 18 and 24mg juice for the tanks. the Blu and Cig2O cartos were 18mg. Good vapor from the Blu but no throat hit. In researching on the net, it appears that my battery is 3.2, 3.7 and 4.2 but I don't know if it is 650 or 900mah. It doesn't have an on/off switch but if you press the button 5 times it changes the voltage. there is no writing on it at all. I wasn't sure if LR cartos would work or not.
