Well just started with the e cigs and liking it...only complaint is they don't last long and the hit seems small... (of course I have been using the throw aways)

Quesion is should I just buy a provari or a lava setup(Apollo ) ...big difference in price... Is one better than another... Also would like someone to recommend a nice complete setup... This will be used for the home... I ordered a storm 2 for when I out...

Any help would be appreciated

Speed, if you can afford the Provari and are comfortable with that type of purchase right out the box, I say go for it. Most noobs around here opt for, say, more fiscally conservative options. I don't think anyone here would fault you for jumping right to the top, but you might want to half-step in. A simple eGo variable battery with a Vivi Nova tank suits most noobs for awhile......some forever....

Provari is the best of what you listed but if you do not have 200 plus right now there are tons of things out there to get you where you need to be. I have been at it for a few months and tried a lot of units and the one that stands out to me is the VMAX. It is consistent with great hit. I use a vivi nova when I am in mood for certain flavors I mixed and I drip when I am relaxing at night with a 3.0 atty. I have not bought any of the AVA or 357 atty's yet, I just use a plain old boge or one that is like it. Good luck!

I'm in the exact same boat as you. I am now using a throw away menthol flavored e-cig from a brand called Finity. It burns the back of your throat at first, but after 2 hits, it doesnt burn as much. I think thats the nicotine. But there is almost no vapor at all!

So I decided to order the Tornado Tank Kit from Totally Wicked, which is an E-go T type device. But then I noticed the Lava Tube which has variable voltage and all, and it was $99 for the kit, but they have a Chrome Lava Tube too, and its $110 for the kit. Then I went back over to Totally Wicked's site, and noticed they also have a device called the Torpedo VVV kit, which seems identical to the Lava Tube, and its in chrome. But they have a 25% off sale now, so their version of the Lava Tube kit is only $67 right now.

But I had already ordered the Tornado tank kit. So the next day I decided to bite the bullet and order the Torpedo VVV kit for $67, because I figured I'd probably want to move up to a variable voltage e-cig eventually anyway, and I might as well buy it and save $43 now, instead of paying the extra $43 later for a Lava Tube or a Torpedo type kit.

But it seems to be taking forever for the 1st kit to get here. I ordered it 5 days ago, and it wont be here til tomorrow. I'm losing patience because I really want to quit smoking and try out these e-cigs that are supposedly better than the small disposable ones I have now.

The Provari is quality...no doubt about that. If you do decide to buy a Lavatube realize:
LavaTube= Lambo= KnightRider= VTube. They are all the same PV.
Here's a Vtube starter kit sarting at $53.00 with discount code:
Apollo VTube Kit
Promotion: You can use code 'vtube30' to get 30% discount while our vtube stock lasts.
They also have a 30 day money back guarantee and a 1 year warranty- best and safest deal out there IMO.

I have a vapor place down the street and the owner showed me his povari and I was impressed.. I have made some mistakes I'm told.. Order the vapor king storm 2.0 and am being told it wasn't money well spent...

So who should I order my set up from... Best tank for a provari... Do I need an adapter for the tank? What about a case? Charger?

Any and all help is appreciated...thank you

i dont own a provari(a few other vv and vw mods) but as far as best tanks... the vivi nova is highly praised here. i got mine on friday and it has jumped to the top of my tank list(have 10 different ones). only thing i noticed is that i had to do some slight modifications to improve wicking to be able to use it at higher voltage but it took less then a minute.... im running the 2.4ohm head at 5volts and wow.... sure beats my 2.0ohm dcc tanks at the same voltage

With the coupon thats a little cheaper than the TW Torpedo VV kit, but the Torpedo VV comes with 2 Li Ion batteries, and a nice clearomizer and a dual battery charger, but doesnt come with the soft carrying case the Apollo has. Whether the extra battery, better charger and a clearomizer make up for the extra $14 is another question... I wouldve bought the Apollo had I known about it cause I already have the batteries at home for it.

Yeah I agree but all chargers that come with starter kits are garbage. The only thing I like about the Apollo deal is the warranty. Carry case??? I've got 10+ of them and can't give them away quick enough LOL.
Really in the long term picture a few $$ wouldn't really matter IMO so it's all good.

If you want the ideal set up (for me) it is the Provari (with extender cap), 3 IMR 18650 batteries, 2 (or more) HH357 LR atomizers and a Trustfire TR-001 Multifunctional Charger. Complimented with some delicious juice from your favorite vender. I like to go to Electronic Cigarettes and AW batteries by Super T for the batteries and chargers and Avid Vaper : Personal Vaporizers and Accessories for the attys and of course ProVari Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette

I suggest experimenting with the different volts on the Provari. I find anywhere from 3.8-4.1 to work very nicely with diferent juices.

I tried a few other in between mods and stuff, but it wasn't until I bought the Provari that I didn't fully give up smoking. So maybe that will work out for your situation just as well as it worked out for me.

Good luck, and welcome to aboard!

I began using Trustfire batts as they came with my starter kit. Next bought AW Batts. I finally now own some Panasonics and the diff is amazing. Good to the last drop. Worst batts are Ultrafires. With my Trustfire 18650 2400 mah after 12 hrs usage the performance drop was depressing. As for chargers either a Pila or Xtar IMO.

How many cartomizers? Did you order an atomizer to test juices rather than fouling up a carto with juice you don't like- attys easier to clean.

Well ordered everything today...not sure how quick they ship.. Provari V2, two batteries(18490),charger, (2) dtc 6ml tank.. And hard case.....(I travel a bit)

Hope I didnt forget anything...Thoughts?

Cartomizers? I thought they came with the 6ml dtc tanks?? I never thought of testing the juices....if I do need to can I just test them on my ego-T??

Can someone explain what atty, cartomizer, tank, atomizer are ..I sure would appreciate it...this is a great site but one keyword search and I get hundreds of threads:blink::blink:

Also I'm just looking at tobacco flavor so does juice manufactures really make a difference..
