Hi, Brapablo,
Welcome to the forums! I've recently been right where you are. I found this forum by looking for e-cigarette reviews and bought the first starter kit that I read about. I don't regret it, either.
I use a DSE801 version sold by vaporcig.com for $99 for a starter kit. It comes with two batteries, an atomizer, a charger, five cartridges, and a bottle of eJuice. They throw in an extra atomizer, so you get two complete e-cigs out of the deal.
They call their version the "Vapor 1000."
The 801 and it's slight smaller cousin, the 901, are popular and common. They are easy to get parts and cartridges for, from several sources. The 801 has a 1.1 ml cartridge size and holds a lot of juice.
You can order the same kind of kit from China for right at half what vaporcig.com sells their's for. The advantages, of course, is that they warranty what they sell. They also do same-day shipping and are extraordinarily polite and easy to deal with. I had a couple of batteries go bad. They shipped new ones out priority mail and even included an envelope to send the bad ones back.
If you plan to vape in public, I suggest that you start with something that does NOT look a regular cigarette. Besides their being know as "minis" in the industry, they have really small cartridges and batteries. They also tend to attract, IMHO, the wrong type of attention. I prefer to vape something that does not like a regular smoke. That could be just me, of course.
I smoked Marlboro Ultralights 4 ppd, and I vape 24 mg (Totally Wicked Virginia currently) and TW Cherry 36 mg.

Both have a "kick" to them. The cherry is fun, but the Virginia is sweet and smooth. The most tobacco-like, again IMO, is the Turkish. It packs a little wallop, too. I gave what I ordered away.
Let me see something... yes, vaporcig has a special going where if you enter a code when purchasing, they'll include an extra 50 ml of your choice of eJuice. That's in the supplier section of this forum.
When you start out, you may as well stock up on some cartridges. They are refillable, so you'll need the shells of the used ones. I suggest having about 60 or so cartridges on hand when starting.
vaporcig sells cartridges 20 for $14.95. They max out at 16 mg, though.
In theory, anybody's 801 cartridges should fit, but some here found an incompatiblity due to a change in the design in the 801. (They put a higher "bridge" on the atomizer in the current model.)
Anyway, that was my path to being smokeless by switching full-time to vaping instead.
Hopefully, you'll get plenty of other suggestions. Oh, and one more thing - batteries are very fickle. I suggest that you get spares for both the batts and the atomizers. vaporcig sells batteries for $15 each, but it's not on the website - you have to call your order in to get them.
That's toward the high end of what 801 batteries should cost, but if you're into the looks of the thing, the batteries match the atomizers, and both carry the TheVapor logo.
In summary, I'm glad that I went with vaporcig. They support newbies.
And here's how I suggest quitting. Set your e-Cig and your smokes down side by side. Go through your nomal day, smoking and taking some drags from the e-Cig. Continue that for a while, and when you're vaping instead of smoking, just switch over.
Lot's of people here say that they stopped smoking accidentally, and I think that's great. That's why I suggest setting yourself up to "accidentally" stop smoking.
Three weeks after you stop, you may be tempted to try a cigarette. I advocate trying this, even though you'll be throwing the cigrarette pack away. You'll be amazed at how GROSS the things you smoked are once you're off all those extra chemicals your cigarettes are laced with. You'll be surprised, too, at how just a few puffs of a real cigarette can make you sick!
Hey, a bunch of us are newbies here. (We are are very own support group.)
Don't hesitate to ask questions or jump in to ask for more details. Somehow this forum has become information central for all e-cigarettes.
Enjoy, and good luck!
