Hi everyone!

I have been crusing the forum for a while now and all the info on here has helped me tremendously. I probably would have given up on vaping a few weeks ago had I not found such a wonderful supportive forum. I have been a smoker for 17 years. I started smoking at age 15, and struggled through age 18 and 21 while I was pregnant with my children. I tried to quit many times and did well a few of those times. Chantix helped me quit for 115 days, but everyday i struggled with wanting a cig. The losenges were horrible, but I stuck it out for 65 days with those, hating every second of it. Also did the patch, smoked the whole time made myself sick! I was 19 then. Anyway, I think you get the point.....it has been a struggle.

My hubby and I bought an ecig kit from V2cigs just befor Thanksgiving and recieved it in time to take them with us on our short weekend family vacation for the holiday. One manual battery and one auto in the kit. He only used his for about a week and has not smoked or vaped since. He never really had to much of a problem quitting smoking. I inherited his batt and now use both of them. Seriously, it has been a godsend! I have had a stinky stick here or there, but i am primarily smoke free and have not bought a pack in over a month. Now I'm trying new e-liquids (some on the way in post), to fill my new blank cartos.

So far the batt life on my 808d-1 dosen't bother me. I charge one while I use the other and it seems to work out fine. I vape like crazy in the house at night watching tv with hubby and kids. It is so awesome to not have to go outside to smoke break in the freezing cold here in Ohio. My car smells better and so do my clothes and I can still smell my shampoo! BTW never smoked in my house, and only in car when no one else was with me.

It has also saved me a good bit of cash. I'm no longer running to the store twice a day for smokes. And that seriously helps when you have to provide for a teenager that eats a ton and a 10 year old with Type1 diabetes. It is nice to feel better about my health while trying to raise 2 healthy boys.

Well, if you read this far, thanks for your time and attention!
Happy to be a part of the happy vaper community!

Welcome to the club! Everyone starts somewhere and there are so many of us that have the same story. This time last year I had already quit with vaping, and my wife has been completely smoke free since New Years Eve 2010. We both still vape a year later and I am enjoying it more and more as the devices and juices improve. It has been an amazing year, and I wish you continued success, and if you want more vapor, time between charges and flavor one day try a 3.7v ego clone and some 1.7ohm smoketech cartomizers! I have heard a lot of people using V2 to quit and I am glad it helped you. If you ever need any help don't hesitate to ask, someone here will help!

Hi AshleyNonSmokie and welcome to ECF and congrats on quitting analogs. I know a couple where the hubby smoked occasionally while the wife was a full time smoker. They've both switched to vaping and have quit analogs and while the hubby doesn't vape every day and the wife does BUT when he feels like an analog he reaches fro his PV.
Happy Vaping and it's always heartening to hear another success story, Vapoor.

Welcome and Congratulations!

Same for me, so far so good and you dont get your clothes, hair, hands stinky nor even the bad breath.

I am also trying new juices. As soon as I receive them I will write a quick review.

Interesting that you mentioned that you are vaping like crazy, so do I since I started vaping. Its interesting (to not say fun) vape in places that you would never smoke analogs. I found myself vaping in front of my computer, watching TV etc and I really enjoy and dont have to bother about the smell that will be in the place afterwards.

Happy vaping and happy holidays for you and all yours!

Thanks so much for the replies! Maybe I'll look at trying another PV in the near future :) I really like that my boss lets me use my PV in our flower shop. I always felt so self conscious going out to smoke and then waiting on a customer for 15 min while they pick out funeral flowers, or flowers for any occasion really. Appearance and smell are important in our shop. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore :)

Yes when people find about about us vaping they are generally very supportive and I applaud your boss for being open minded and allowing you to vape inside the store. My Dr, dentist and surgeon all encourage me to vape in their office.
Happy Vaping, Vapoor.
