So I bought my friend's ecig (that he got from Totally Vapor USA) and I have a few probably stupid questions.

What happens if I keep smoking the ecig when it needs more liquid? Does it just stop making smoke or would it just have no taste?

How long does the liquid usually last before it needs refilling?

There's no such thing as overfilling the ecig is there? (I mean aside from it spilling out when it can't hold anymore, haha) (My ecig is one of those when you drip-drop the liquid into it rather than injecting)

If the battery dies, it stops producing smoke, right?

Thanks for helping out this newbie and try not to be too mean to me :p. Haha. :)

1. Just checked totallyvaporusa.net and their prices are absolutely NUTS. Plus their statement about juice usage are way beyond misleading:
"Herbs/Tobacco flavor Juice
20ml Plastic dropper bottle.
This usually lasts a month and a half of smoking compared to a package of cigarettes a day!"

2. I understand, you are using an atomizer, so, if you run out of juice, you will fill some burnt taste and than atomizer will eventually burn.

3. if you drip, normally you can get about 10 puffs from 3 drops of juice.

4. if you overfill, you will get juice in the mouse and all over yourself. If you are using automatic (without button) battery, it could kill battery too.

5. If battery dies, it doesn't produce vapor, correct.

youll dry out you wick and it will stop working..it needs to be moist all the time. Just add drops till it starts to pool. That means its full. Keep your battery charged. If the battery is just out of charge..then recharge it..most about 2 hrs. your manual will explain all. When my cheapie battery is running out of charge my red tip will flicker. When I put it in the charger it is red ...when its done charging the light goes off. Hope that helped im a newbie too. My husband got the Janty ego 520..now thats a super ecig...

Hi Nessie, Welcome to the forum! You want to try not to run your cart too low because it can be hard on your atomizer. When the flavor starts to change, add some more. Yes, you can add too much liquid and this will flood the atomizer, add just enough that the filler is wet, but fluid is not pooling. If you do flood your atomizer, simply unscrew it from the battery, remove the cart and blow through the battery connection end of the atomizer holding a paper towel on the cart end or just set it upside down for a few minutes on top of the paper towel and let the excess drip out. The LED light on the end of your battery will usually start flashing when the battery is about to die, so look for that and recharge.

There are some great videos made by Mistress Nomad that you should watch. You can find them in the very first section of the New Members Forum (they have little stickies next to them). Good Luck!

I am a GUY from L.A. not girl. lol
Holy pricegouging Batman! The prices on that website are beyond ripoff. I suggest going to a good supplier from now on like goodprophets.com. Any of the ECF suppliers will give you much better prices on juice and generic 510 stuff. Heck, cignot.com has complete genuine Joye starter kits for the same price that they are charging for a generic batt. And I second the advice above as well.

I just checked out the Totally Vapor site you linked and all I can say is.... WOW!!! Vini is right, they're WAY overpriced! The Super Torpedo they're selling for $160 looks like it's an eGo which you can find for less than half that price on a lot of other cites. I know cignot.com has the eGo for $69 and it comes with 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, 2 cones (aka atomizer covers), 5 prefilled cartridges (Marlboro High), 1 eGo fast USB charger, 1 AC to USB adapter, 1 pouch, 1 instruction sheet AND they have free shipping on orders over $59.

I'm not trying to be mean to you, I'm just explaining that Totally Vapor is not the site to go to for purchasing nor to get the proper information about PV (e-cigarettes). I'm glad you found this forum and I hope you learn a lot from those who are here.

There are so many people who bought e-cigarettes without having knowledge of the product and believe what they see or read on a company's website. Not all e-cigarette sites are trustworthy and will take you for all you've got just because they can. I suggest starting with looking around the forum, starting with the ECF Library and watching MistressNomad's videos for newbies on a budget. She offers fantastic advise in her videos!

Go here and spend some time reading about all the ecig types and how to use them. You will be an expert if you spend enough time in the library. By far, most of the users here agree that the Joye 510 is the best mini ecig and the Ego and its equivalents, Riva and Volcano Magma are the better large format ecigs.

The ECF Library

As said above Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. sells a starter kit with two 510s (2 atomizers and 2 batteries), charger, and 5 prefilled carts for $35. It's called the "no box" kit. That ecig is very well supported on the forum and you will find all you need to know about it here.

Nhaler sells Riva 1300mah kit with 1 batt for $58.00 : Riva 1300mAh

Not to worry, I'm not a spammer. Just had honest questions haha.

I myself didn't get ripped off. My friend did :p I bought it from my friend for way cheaper.

I'm glad you didn't get ripped off and I'm sorry your friend did. I hope we didn't make you feel uncomfortable by our shock at what Totally Vapor is gouging people for. I'm actually glad you posted about that site! Hopefully if anyone is looking through this forum will see what we've said and not waste their money on that product. Educating as many as we can is what we like to do here and you've helped with that for sure! :)
