I can think of two items, first, you might have burned the juice to the coil (tastes nasty). Second, try a different type, blend, manufacturer's juice. I have found some really, really nasty juices. Just my two cents.

Hi iv tried the juice on the greensmoke and it worked fine

One thing I have noticed is the wick is black up at the mid section on both sides just under the cap is this normal

Welcome to the trials a tribulation to finding the satisfying ultimate vape. Oh, and that's a cute little ego you have there.

Apologies, I have become a cynic of cig-a-likes and ego style batteries in a very short time. Hey, don't get me wrong they work, they are the first steps to becoming smoke free, and most people that vape start with them. I am very thankful that they exist, because they got me to point I am at today.

The short inexpensive answer to your dilemma is to stop messing with cheap azz plastic tanks, they taste nasty, do nothing to enhance the flavor of you vape, and the wear out quickly and have to be tossed out at some point. Start looking for a glass or steel tank that you can replace the coil or rebuild the coil. A Protank 2 is a great beginners tank, gives a pretty fair vape, and the taste is clean and super easy to replace the coil. Flavor is a bit muted when compared to a quality rba, but you'll think you've found heaven when you try it.

The real answer, and in the long term sense, most economical solution to really vaping, and never being tempted by an analog again is to do extensive research and ground work, reading and viewing Variable Votage and Wattage devises. Find a well made device, that will give you years of exceptional use, then buy it. whether it cost $50 or $200, is irrelevant. I wouldn't even let money be a deciding factor. Then do the same search for an re-buildable atomize. You say you don't want to build coils, I just want to fill and vape? Well you are wrong, once you start appreciating what a quality pvd and rba can do to a bottle of your favorite juice, you'll not only enjoy building a coil, but start to wonder what if I did it this way, how would it vape.

The reason I say price is irrelevant in the long term, just do the math:

It has been 5 months since I last had a cigarette. That comes to 4000 cigarettes that I have NOT smoked and over $1200 that I have NOT spent on tobacco cigarettes. I had been a smoker for 37 years.

I own a Provari, bought a starter kit for $209 came with charger 2 batteries and bought an extra battery so that I'd have three for a total of $239 with shipping, I have the Russian rba on top of that, cost $101 with shipping, I also have a genesis I-atty clone coming from china for $16. Looking at $356 so far in equipment. that still leaves $844 that I have not spent on smokes. now add in juice and supplies like SS mesh Kanthal wire, silica wick. maybe at most $40 a month used so now at ~$644 that I have not spent on smoke. I am already Past the break even point of vaping on a Provari, which will last me years. I my pick up some more tank system in the future, maybe not. But basically will have to just buy juice, and then some wire silica and SS, every few months or so.

What I won't have to do is long for something better, with hopes that I won't smoke. My vape is better, more satisfying than any smoke I ever had. I keep finding new flavors I love, and would never be satisfied with smoking a camel after camel cig again. And the money saved gets larger every day I vape. So you can readily see that price of the equipment is negligible, and the money one wastes on cig-a-likes and ego's can quickly add up to the price of a quality set up, taking a longer time to start saving. Although no longer used equipment makes great Xmas and birthday presents for friends and relatives that smoke.

I've had very good performance from the Kanger protank, Protank 2, and Davide Anyvape... you may want to try the Protank 2 mini or the Davide mini, as these are smaller and don't look top heavy on an eGo battery. All of these take the same Kanger replacement coils, and are interchangeable with the EVOD clearo coils. You also may want to check in to getting a variable voltage battery... either a Twist or a Spinner. VV allows you to customize the power delivered to your coil and juice of choice for the best flavor.

Sounds like it is burnt sweetie. Nothing to do with that but toss in trash. I gave up on the clearomizers. Too many problems. bottom coil is doing me good tho.

Have abandoned it for now to many nasty hit and miss hits :D

Will sweat it out until the iclear 16 comes then move on to kanger from there maybe

So many gadgets I can see this getting to be an exspensive and addictive hobbie fast :D

Iv no walk in shops nearby but plenty online with free delivery usually 1 day

I predict that you will love bottom coil clearomizers. The Kanger evods and the Protank II are both excellent. I enjoyed these devices as my primary toppers for six months until I moved on to cartomizers and carto tanks. Cooler vape, but a richer, more saturated vape that is not position dependent, as your top coils are, and almost never burn, because they are bottom coils. This is the evolution I was talking about earlier. I started with CE clearos. Discovered that they basically suck, imho, compared to, oh, well, everything else. The iClear's try to take the saturation issue out of it by having a dual coil 16 wick system. What it actually does is eat your juice like there's no tomorrow. you still get dry hits and wicking problems and they are position dependent. Fasttech sells evods in packs of 10 for $21.22 delivered:

$21.22 EVOD Electronic Cigarette Round Mouth Atomizer (10-Pack / 1.5mL) 10-pack - 2.4

I found that the coils that come in these toppers are hit and miss, mostly miss, but these replacement coils worked fine (packs of 5 for $4.05 delivered):

$4.05 EVOD Electronic Cigarette Atomizer Heating Cores (5-Pack) 5-pack - 2.0

Add to this a Genuine Protank II mini and full size tank. They use the same replacement coils as the evods, so buy a couple packs, until you learn to recoil. Phil Busardo tells all about the evod and shows how to recoil the evod/Protank in this video:

Fasttech takes about 10 - 12 days to get orders to me once shipped. Know exactly what you are ordering from FT before ordering. Best information is right here on this Forum. Because FT sells both genuine gear and clones, some of their stuff is hit or miss. I have twelve successful and happy orders from FT to date, with zero issues. They have the best pricing in the world, imho. Given the amount of time and effort and aggravation you have had with your top coils, I really want to urge you to pursue some better gear (my opinion only) that will improve your vape and your vaping experience. It doesn't have to be as difficult as you have experienced.

While you are on Fasttech, please also consider a couple of great stick batteries, the iTaste 3.0 variable wattage/voltage APV:

$39.69 iTaste VV 10-in-1 Voltage Adjustable Rechargeable 800mAh Electronic Cigarettes Set - CE4 atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

This is a nice kit. I get these from IVape here in the US:

iTaste VV 3.0 - Variable Wattage Device - Pearl Chrome | Variable Voltage | MODS | iVAPE

Use coupon code "itastevv" for a 30% discount, bringing the cost down to $35. I have four of these and they completely replaced my other ego stick batteries. A couple of these are great. Full APV's, like the entry level Vamo APV, with vv/vw, an Ohm meter, +/- buttons, USB charging, ego and 510 threading (so will work with both evods and Protanks), even a puff counter. Four great colors, 800 mAh each will last about 8 hours depending on your Vape usage. Best stick batteries in the world, imho. Primary, stealth, out and about, and backup batteries that will last you throughout your VapeQuest.

Here's a primer on vaping that I think you will appreciate:

Finally, this primer on Ohm's Law and Vaping is invaluable:

These devices and videos will get you well along your journey. Highly recommended. Welcome, Congrats on quitting, Good Luck, Happy Shopping, Power Up and Vape On!

P.S. I've tried more than 40 different toppers and 30 different batteries. Here's some pictures of my "Family" from a couple of months ago:

Been there, done that, and walked in your shoes (I know - OCD, but it illustrates my point about recommended gear as an evolutionary process, and kind of a before and after line up). Good luck!!!

Would these be a good tank ? Thinking about grabbing one :)

Its a kanger protank

Kanger ProTank

Recommend the Protank II. A number of improvements over the PT1. I've already broken my first PTII tank, but found replacement tanks at Potion Vapes, and they come in color too. Very nice. I think the PTII is the best clearomizer on the market, imho. Some find it an airy draw. I added an air flow controller and solved that problem. The PTII's though, are not as airy as the PT1's were. Again, very nice.

After trying the Protank 1, I gave up on top coils completely. Luckily, I had waited a while and did not get a PT1 that had the glass separation issue. After watching the reviews, I snagged a Davide, and it is awesome for me... a little higher capacity, and it takes the same heads I already have for my three Protank 1's. I then got a Protank 2, just to check it out... still going back to the Davide on a daily basis. They're close in performance, but I give the edge to the Davide. Haven't tried the minis, but I've heard their performance is comparable to their big brothers'.
