Hi...I'm new to the Reo scene...ordered a grand last night...Black wrinkle silver vein and can't wait for the delivery. Missed out on the raw and had the black wrinkle copper vein in cart...went to order...gone:blush:. Well i didn't' order a reomizer with it so now today i'm going to order one. I'm looking for recommendations for a newbie on what wire and wick to order with it. I've been reading a bunch around the site and one thing i see is everyone has a different idea on achieving their vaping sweet spot with the reomizer. So what I'm here to ask is what quick easy setup...wire and wick that is a good starting point for a Reo beginner? Something around 1.2-1.5 ohm...we will cross the sub ohm bridge after a bit of practice. I see all the options on the Reo website and i feel a bit overwhelmed...
Thanks for any suggestions...I'm mechanically inclined and quick study when starting something new.. :toast:

I'd suggest you start out with 30ga and maybe 28g (both available from reosmods.com). For wick, you can either get the cotten roll from CVS, or get some 2-2.5mm silica (also from reosmods.com). I'd also suggest for your first wick, just bend a piece of silica over (double it) and wrap straight on the silica (as in Robert's video). That should give you a good starting point and is almost foolproof. Once you've done that, you can start playing around with tweaks.

Welcome! When I got my REO i ordered some sillica w/ it, and I used it like once and now it just sits in a box. Cotton is so much easier and it tastes better, just make sure it's sterile. You should be just fine with 28 and 30 awg, and you'll quickly learn that making a coil is so easy most of the time you just do it for fun.

And yes, pix!

LOL... that went to me! (sorry

) I was torn between the silver vein door and the cooper vein door and finally went with the cooper. I might get a silver door later on... from what I understand, you can buy the doors separately.

I'm glad that BlackVein Copper Door is going to a good home. I hope you enjoy it as much as i plan on enjoying mine.:toast:
Again thank you everyone for the warm welcome and the solid advice given to me when asked...I'll post pictures when the REO lands here in Wisconsin...:banana::banana::banana::banana:
