ALRIGHT THEN! KANGER it is!!!!

Only every reply in this thread is recommending it.

And, yes, dude................ Since, it was a Groupon deal, maybe their liquid was jacked up. But, yes, I got .............and if I had pics of it, I would happily show you........J/K. Thanks for the advice/recommendation.

It's a good kit and the bonus is it accepts both eGo and 510 threaded accessories/ juice holders. As for VV/ VW if you're like 99% of vapers you'll eventually prolly buy a larger mod.
As for South Beach Smoke...be wary when you see many sites promoting the same Vendors over and over again. Heavy marketing is the key to their survival and the reason they're not an ECF listed/ verified Vendor is because their products don't measure up in both price and quality to other brands found here.
Best of Luck and enjoy your stay.

All good kits, i like the EVOD! I got a 650mah battery and two new EVOD Clearo/Tanks coming in the mail. I have been using some of the smaller kanger clearos since i got my first 650mah battery, then got the EVOD battery and waiting on the EVOD tanks to arrive. If i didnt get my first battery sooner and just had the money for the kit back then, I wouldof looked at goodejuice they have a EVOD kit for 50$ Kanger EVOD 650mAh Electronic Cigarette Kit [KNGR650EVDKT] - $49.99 :

I started with a ZMAX V3 because it is a variable wattage device and I put a Kanger protank on it. Get any protank and a variable wattage device right now. You're just gonna get one within such a short period of time you may as well get it now. The Ego just didn't put out enough power for me even though it was adjustable and I had to charge it all the time and I had 2 of them and alternating , etc...blah blah blah---just get a good one now and be done with it. Again...just get an Evic, Vamo or my choice..the ZMAX and any protank, a nitcore 4 bay charger, some batteries and some juice

Charger $18 on amazon right now= $20
batteries are generally $7 a piece or so--get a least 4 for now=$30
Zmax V3 mini or fullsize can be had for about $50 if you search
Protank can be had for $15--get 2=$30
-----------------------------------
$130 or so and you are DONE!

........ is a common side effect of quitting cigarettes.

Secondly, keep it simple when starting out. There have been some very good recommendations on starter kits less than $50.

If you like Halo's Tribeca (it's one of my favorites), I would suggest ordering the tobacco sampler from Halo. Judging from what and how much you smoked, I would suggest starting with 12mg nicotine. The sampler will give you a variety of flavors to start out.

Good luck!

Everyone has given good recomendations for equipment. For me the Kanger EVOD starter kit was the equipment that got me off of cigs. So while you are on the road to trying to quit smoking, not only is considering the equipment you use important but also the nic level in your juice. If you don't use a strong enough nic level in the beginning you could very much well want to continue smoking to fulfill that nic desire. I started with 24 mg and dropped to 18mgs pretty quick but kept using the 24 mg because there were times when I needed the extra nic to curb the cravings.

so having a good set up and the right level nic for you will help you on your journey. :D

I like the EVOD if I didn't already have a battery and the small Kanger T4 clearos left over from my 510s I would of bought the EVOD kit. Good E Juice sells genuine Kanger too, but i bought a EVOD batt for 12.99 so using the generic 650 I got too but mainly when EVOD is charging. My two EVOD clearomizers should be here tomorrow!! So right now just using these small Kanger T4s and couple 1.8ohm G5s both are .9ml but I cant wait to try the EVOD clearo!!
I ordered two since they were only 6.99! I watched alot of video reviews and read up on them and they sounded perfect for me! Also for the price compared to others I looked at like the iSmoka was 12.99 and the replacement heads were more they got 5 packs for 6.99 at goodejuice.com
I do wish they would of designed the battery button different it looks nice but hard to find, like in the dark :) lol

Yes well nicotine is a stimulant and it can "stimulate" you in more ways than one, cigarettes used to make me feel like pooping...

You guys/gals don't play around. LOL

I'm looking to spend no more than $100.00. Only because of the letdown with South Beach Smoke. I was under the impression they were in the top echelon of ecigs.

The VG suggestion is perfect so long as someone here can tell me that SBS uses PG.

The ones I hear thrown around are: Kanger, Ego, Joye, and others that aren't coming to me right now. I'll check their sites out. Thanks again......and any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Y'all are AWESOME!

If that was what I was using I would still be smoking analogs to be honest.

I bought evods for my GF. She likes them, but preferred the juice I had in my protank 2 this morning, and swiped it on her way out the door.

So since I liked the juice she already had in hers, today I'm rocking a pink evod on my black spinner - I've got to say, I'm really impressed with how well this hits.

Don't give up! I well remember the frustration I went through 2 years ago when getting off cigs. The available e-cig options at tat time were somewhat limited and plagued with issues. I went through a bunch of different combinations, some better than others but none really dependable and satisfactory. Seemed I was spending more time fiddling with the darn things than I was vaping.
SO, your question was what would I buy in the beginning had I known what trial and error has now tought me?
A variable voltage unit with a re-buildable tank type atomizer. Hands down!
I use a Provari with a Zen SS mesh wick tank atomizer, but there are other similar brands out there that are less money.
You still have to mess with the things but not nearly as much or as often.
I was not pleased forking out the $ but in the long run if I had gone "first cabin" at the get-go, I would have actually saved money and a bunch of frustration.
Jus sayi'n.

Hello all,

I appreciate what this forum brings to mopes like me who seem to always fail at quitting smoking. I know that ecigs are a proven way to quit cigs. However, my attempts to quit via E-cigs failed. Here are the types I failed with.

-Some cheapy 7-11 disposable E-cig that was beyond terrible. If you would have seen the veins bulging out of my forehead in an effort to get any sort of throat hit then you would know what I had bought was nothing more than a 10 dollar piece of plastic. FAIL

-Next, was a Groupon deal for South Beach Smoke. They sent me a starter kit with Light Tobacco flavored cartridges for $25.00. This was a couple years ago. Long story short: the throat was better but barely (had issues with forehead veins....once again) AND the ecigs from SBS gave me TERRIBLE ......... DOUBLE FAIL.

Well, 2 years have past and I know I need to quit smoking. However, I love my nicotine. So, I have heard of a crapload of folks buying ecigs from Tobacco Depot and raving about them. In fact, my wife (who was always against ecig technology) tried one from her co-worker (she had a Halo Tribeca, or something like that) and loved it. So, now my interests have been resurrected.

My questions that I need help and need answered from the great ecig-vets here are:

1) Is this ........ normal for Ecigs, or is this manufacturer issue? Any info regarding South Beach Smoke and ........ causing ecigs would be much appreciated. Also, please confirm that South Beach Smoke is not the cream of the crop as far as the ecig world is concerned. If so, my search stops here.

2) If you make to this question, vets, please answer me this. What is the perfect brand/model/make/etc. for me. I want a strong tasting, throat-punching ecig that simulates what a cig does for me. I smoke light cigarettes (non-menthol) and smoke < 1 pack a day. I request that you all do not give me vague responses. Instead, put yourself in my shoes and tell me which site, which kit you choose if you knew then what you do now.

UPDATE: Co-worker who has a HALO from Tobacco Depot let me take a hit. I took a hit from it like I would with my SBS ecig and about coughed like I did when first started smoking. That's a good thing, I suppose. LOL.

Thank you all for reading this and thank you for having such a great forum available to folks like me.
