ratio of PG and VG? best for newbies
cant seem to understand the relationship between volt vs nicotine level. (even after reading thru countless thread in ecf, pardon me)
im planning to get a ego-c, but saw some threads on leakage. (anyone can verify this?)
accessories ( the real need for drip tip?)

Thank you in advance to all.

Welcome to ECF !!!! The ratio of PG / VG and level of nicotine is a personal preference, a bit trial and error. I use a 50/50 mix so I get the flavor boost from PG and vapor boost from VG.

For a pack a day smoker usually 18-24mg is a good starting point, and adjust up or down depending on your own cravings.

Regarding the eGo-C, you'll find as many people that swear by it as swear at it...:) Never used the C type myself, but have used egos which are all 510 threaded, reliable batteries that can use a large variety of cartos and attys.

edt... p.s. a drip tip can be used with most cartos or attys for comfort, (and for the original purpose of dripping on an atty)

This is what has worked for me and I smoked 2 packs for over 20 years.

Kgo kit 1100mah with viva nova tank, CE3 xl bottom coils and smoktech 1.7 cartos. I change these up depending on where I am. I use the vivi at home, and the CE3s/cartos for work or driving around.

I started with 24mg then down to 18mg, but I use some 24mg in the morning. Then vape 18mg the rest of the day.

I've only been using 2 flavors. Boba's Bounty from AVE, and Gandalf from Heather's Heavenly Vapes. 50/50 mix works best for me.

I am going to be purchasing an Ego Twist VV very soon since I don't have the cash to spend on a Lavatube or Provari.

50/50 is the way to go in case you want to experiment w cartos or tanks.
If u want to try out a really cheap juice that is pretty good try ecblends ry4. Cheapest you will find.
I have an ego, ego twist, silver bullet, and two lava tubes. Start small w an ego and work your way up based on preference. That's the best way to me. Good luck!

I'll try and help as best I can.

for the PG/VG ratio, that is something that is 100% personal. Me I like 60/40 or 50/50. to me those ratios hit nice and smooth and prevent a clogged lung kind of feeling I get with higher PG content. At 70/30 I get a very strong throat hit and IMO is the best place to start.
it will emulate the feeling of hot smoke travelling down your throat much better. Just keep in mind, from what I know, PG equals flavor and throat hit, VG equals vapor and smoothness. I generally recommend trying out each ratio until you find what suits you.

there is a relationship between volts and nicotine? JUST VAPE IT B!!! naw really, I wouldn't go much higher than 18mg on anything other than tobacco flavors. I had a bottle of Key Lime that after a month of steeping I didn't want to vape because of how much 24mg of nicotine affected the flavor. Once again this is all personal preferance though. As for voltage and nicotine having a relationship.... not that I am aware of.

now this is where things get interesting. The ego is a fantastic starting point. for an everyday PV the ego is second to none. But I'm referring to the battery, not the atomizer or cartomizers that come with it. there are a million options out there that are way better than what comes with most kits(someone please correct me if I'm wrong about the ego c). My recent purchase for my new Varitube X has been DCTs (dual coil tanks).
I have completely fallen in love with these. I stick to the 1.7ohm cartomizers as they work very well with both my generic egos and my varitube x.
If you don't mind a lot of messing around with your ecig an atomizer and drip tip is wonderful. I always have a set I keep around in case I can't afford new cartomizers. I use an Ikenvape Cannon V2 1.8ohm atomizer, its a wonderful atomizer just really big and does not work with the ego drip cone.

Since you mentioned voltage I'm going to throw this out there. If you are thinking of upgrading later to a variable voltage PV, don't get the ego.
spend the cash now and get yourself a lavatube with the 4amp switch. After spending mass amounts on everything I've stopped here and am looking at a provari for my final PV. The ability to dial in the flavor is wonderful. I use higher voltage to get a more robust tobacco flavor and lower voltages for my fruit and dessert flavors. just remember volts equals more heat equals more used juice and possibly burning your equipment.

Last and not least accessories! Drip tips are a must own item!!!! they give you a very comfortable place to put your lips and it will prevent juice from spitting into your mouth. they can be placed on atomizers and cartomizers equally, so you only need a few. As the name implies they are also used with atomizers allowing you to drip your juice directly into the atomizer without a lot of fuss.

Hopes that helps and welcome to the forums!!!!

If you're going with a plain ole ego c don't worry about volts and all that. If you want a stronger hit you'll just want to pay attention to the atomizers. The lower the resistance will give you the best throat hit. Such as a 1.5ohm. As for pg/vg you just have to try. I'm sensitive to pg so I typically use 100% vg. Pg gives me a sore throat. Rule of thumb is more pg equals more flavor. More vg equals more vapor.

ratio of PG and VG? best for newbies: There is none. Only you will know, by trying a range. More PG = more flavor and throat hit, more VG = more "smoke" (vapor) on exhale. Some people are sensitive or allergic to PG. Most aren't.

cant seem to understand the relationship between volt vs nicotine level. (even after reading thru countless thread in ecf, pardon me): There is no "best". Nicotine level depends on at what point vaping satisfies you and you aren't crawling the walls wanting a cigarette. Depending on how much they smoked, most people start with 12-18-24mg nicotine juice. Voltage and resistance determine how much power goes to whatever the juice coats that gets hot and creates vapor. Voltage and resistance pull at opposite ends of the heat - higher voltage creates more heat, higher resistance "resists" the voltage and limits how much heat it will produce at any given voltage. Counterintuitively, you are better off with higher voltage and high resistance to produce any given amount of heat, since it will drain the battery less.Heat is measured in watts.

I will defer to others with more experience with the Ego-c, since I haven't used it.

Keep asking questions...it will get clearer. :)

I agree, I almost exclusively use ECBlends juice and have yet to be truly dissapointed. The only juices I don't like from them are their orange juices but I've only tried the ones attempting to emulate an orange dreamsicle. Dragon Dream was OK the other was nasty lol.

Also after puffing on my 70/30 Black Magic Tobacco from ecblends I correct my self. start at 60/40 PG/VG. this stuff makes me cough up lungs lol.

For me, a pack a day smoker beforehand, I use a 30mg juice from The Vapor Room, at 50/50 PG/VG. It works amazingly for me ^_^.

I use a DCT w/ a tank Carto, so i really don't know much about the Ego-C, sorry :\

Well, I'm about a 2 day veteran, but I've been reading this forum and watching videos for a while, so I might be able to give you real veterans' opinion :)

Cost shouldn't concern you. I was rolling my own cigarettes for about buck a pack, and vaping is cheaper.

PG/VG ratio you may need to try to find what you like. From what I understand VG gives more vapor, PG is more throat hit. VG is much more viscous. I currently have 100% PG and don't like it. Gonna buy a 50/50 mix next time.

volt has nothing to do with nicotine. Here's a very handy volt vs cartos chart that I someone linked yesterday: Safe Vaping Power Chart | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Most people seem to like drip tips. I don't. With my 100% PG juice it leaks more than with the little rubber stopper.

Having tried gum, welbutrin, cold turkey and nagging wife, I think e-cigs are the easiest way. After a few days of ecigs, when I ran out of supplies, the analogs tasted really disgusting to me.
