You're moving from Texas to Wisconsin in JANUARY???? Deliberately?

Dude, you must really LIKE the cold :D

We've got a Jan vapers meeting coming up sometime in the Oshkosh area (I think...Lyndale's still working on the details - I hope) .... but in the meantime, I'm in Waukesha, right down the freeway, and wanna welcome ya personally to both the area and to the Cheddar Curtain!

Good ta see ya, hon!

Well, you can always tell the true Wisconsinites by their reaction to sliding around in the car in the snow...

Whereas most people spout off several choice, four-letter words when starting to slide in their cars...the Wisconsinite will let off a hearty "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-HAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" and, if there's a passenger, will occasionally yell "Hey, watch THIS!!!"

Hope you like Wisconsin, hyper! To be totally honest, winter is something you just deal with here. It takes a hardy type to enjoy snow and cold, but it also brings out the best in people. Most people will give you a push or jump your car if you need help! There's also a reason a lot of people head for the south for the winter,,,, lol. Snow does have it's beauty, but getting around in it is a challenge, no matter how you dice it. It's kind of fun for young bucks to find a parking lot with lots of room, and do doughnuts in the snow. Watch out for light poles and signs,,,, and of course other cars,,, lol.

Even though salt is hard on your car, it does help the roads. You'll find that there are really very few days that the roads are an issue.

Make sure you have some sun glasses, because sunny winter days are bright, bright, bright!! We always have some of those, too.

Just tell people that you're from Texas and it's you're first winter here. Some kind soul will take you under thier wing.

BTW, dressing in layers is the key in the cold.

The reward for winter is a beautiful spring, summer and fall here!
