How do there people!!
My names Matt and im from England. Now, since iv recently been paid I thought it was about time I invested in an e-cig. I am not a cigarette smoker my self, but I smoke pipes and cigars. Though It is not as unhealthy as cigarettes I would like to get away from it as I find im only doing it for the range of tastes. Not to mention I am very weary if inhaling smoke so vaping seems like the best choice. Now, iv done abit of research and have learnt the basics. Iv narrowed the e-cigs down to two items. The sky e-cig (I can get this for £15 with discount) or the eGo-C. Now, im not bothered about size of the items, but it more of a price and usage time thing. I wouldnt like to go over £20 and I want the most usage out of an e-cig, both battery life and e-juice. So which one is best between the two? Or is the a better one out there that I am yet to discover.

I appologise in advance if this is in the wrong place or if iv done something else wrong here. And sorry for the poor explanation.

Cheers
Matt

Hey buddy, welcome! From my perspective, and how I understand your post, I really don't think either would be a good device for you. If you were looking to replace cigarettes then either would probably be a good start but considering that you're trying to replace cigars/pipes I just don't think that either will throw the kind of vapor you're looking for. Unfortunately I don't know what will in that price range. I'd suggest you look at the lavatube/varitube/vtube line of vaporizers and use a tank/carto setup. On the cheapest end this will run you ~$65 (US Dollars) + juice/carto's. A compromise/middle ground would be going with an EGO-C Twist (down around $45 with tank + juice/carto's). The Twist provides a lot higher voltage and you can really dial it in to what you want.

Now that being said, if you're really stuck on the price point then I'd go with the EGO-C and get some low resistance (~1.8ohm) cartomizers. Something like the Resurrector 1.7 C.C.V. is really popular and provides a really great vape considering for low voltage.

I don't know the conversion rate and I feel lazy. I would suggest you look at a kgo kit or TWO twists. The vtube is also solid advice if you like the heft of a cigar. I have kgos and a vtube, both are good. The twist has quite a following for inexpensive VV.

Tanks such as those from valleyvapes and also the vivi nova are popular yet totally different. I know, clear as mud.

I can't find anything for that cost that would be decent. There are starter kits here in the US, but by the time you get it shipped, it'd probably be pretty expensive...not sure, maybe someone else will know. About the closest I've found that would be a good starter kit is this one, and Liberty Flights is located in the UK, so shipping shouldn't be such a hassle.

lol - and I'll play devil's advocate and suggest that for someone newer to vaping, you might want the starter kit, because it provides 2 of everything and the correct charger. I do agree with the eGo Twist (but in kit form:evil:) however, unless you're familiar with the jargon of the varied and individual bits. I'd also suggest House of Liquid for your cigar/pipe flavors. One thing I have noticed from my experience for whatever that is worth is that vaping - to me and only my opinion of course) is a MUCH more leisurely? philosophical? pondering? exercise than hoisting down 10 quick drags on a smoke as most cigarette users do. I suspect that your tobacco preferences will really cross over to vaping very well.

hi Matt and welcome to ECF,

There is a member here, her name is Chrissie, she lives in the UK and is very knowledgeable about what is over there e-cig wise. You might want to send her an PM once you have enough posts to do so.

If I remember correctly £20 would be roughly $35, it may be hard to find a good set up for that. Even the twist some are suggesting would run you closer to $60 by the time you figure 2 batteries and a charger and a delivery device such as a clearomizer or cartomizer.

But Matt, you said you where a pipe smoker. While they do cost a bit more than some of the cheap set ups out, have you thought about an e-pipe? Some of them look beautiful.

Hey Matt - how about this deal on our ECF "Pay It Forward" forum. Use the discount code "VAPEDEAL" Sure, it will cost a little to have it shipped, but it seems like a nice starter. PS I'd strongly recommend getting a wall charger vs a USB charger for these higher power batteries, and you'd need a USB to UK plug. Just a thought.

Even better! And always do a quick google check for a discount code or coupon , - hey! you never know! :)
Hi Matt,

I wouldn't get either of those, there are much better options available in the UK
for you.

This is one of them:

The VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

Whilst a bit more than your budget, it will save you money in the
long run and give you a far better vaping experience as well.

Cheers for the responses guys. I went ahead and bought a Ego something or. Basically a Riva 510. Only one battery though. It came with two Atomizers. Bought 5 Boge carto's as well and a few e liquids to go with it. And I have to say, I am astounded by vaping. My 510's battery life is very good, and the tastes of the e liquids is devine. I think iv caught the vaping bug and will be buying more cartos and e liquids this coming week! Its brilliant, I dont have to worry about the nasty things that come along with tobacco smoke. I dont feel guilty after using this and I dont smell of stinky smoke. I bought a tobacco flavoured e liquid, and fruity one and a mint chocolate one. All are brilliant, I love the cool feeling the mint choc brings and the lovely creamyness and undertone of the chocolate. Its devine. Its also great that I can vape in my room without having to worry about the smell. Its all just a pleasant experience :D

Thanks ever so much guys, I hope to join in more with the wonderful community. One thing that does bug me is that others that are un educated about e cigs think that im just another smoker and that my vapour is seconds hand smoke and bad for others.
