Hey Guys,
First time posting here, been lurking for about a week learning about e-cigs and such. I've been a smoker for about 19 years and learned about e-cigs 2 months ago and decided I need to make a change. A co-worker introduced me to it, I took a hit and really enjoyed it. I have tried quitting via gums, lozenges, etc... and finally went with Chantix, which finally got me to quit - for a year. Last fall I started up again and really don't want to go back on Chantix. That stuff is brutal! And to be honest, I love having a smoke with my beer, during my break, after a meal... I just love to smoke too much to quit.
Then I learned about e-cigs and it sounded to good to be true. I just ordered my first two e-cigs, a Janty Dura-C and a Blu. I was drawn by their charging cases, as I will be going camping next week and it would be great to take these instead of analogs. I haven't received them yet, but can't wait to get em. Anyways, Just wanted to say hi!

Well.. Hi. I just placed an order for Blu after reading tons on it, hoping it all works out for the best, the reviews in the thread in this fora helped a lot with my decision to go ahead and give it a try. I've been a smoker for 8-9 years and have previously been 'forced' into quitting and even smoked a pack a day on the patch... Needless to say, didn't work out so well. I'm making the decision to try out e-cigs on my own in an attempt to slowly cut the analogs out of my life.

I had originally posted with concerns about the carts from the njoy Npro and some liquid coming up out of the draw hole even when I drew on them lightly...
I just put in a new cart that was purchased... not the included samples that come with the starter kit... I've been puffing on that thing all night and have not had the liquid problem with the new carts. I'm thinking that this was an issue just relative to the samples in the starter kit. Anyone else have the same issues?

I almost immediately was smoking HALF my usual in analogs when I got my first ecig. Just stick with it for a few days. They way I started was just using my ecig at work and enjoying my analogs at home. More and more I'm sticking with the e-smoke instead of the analog. Good luck with it!

my name is Vanessa and I just started using an electronic cigarette a month ago. My hubby had come home from the bar with stories of this magical device (LOL). So we had to try it. First he got one, and I quickly followed suit. We both use NJoy NPros right now. I was actually able to get a really cool custom battery with a blue light on the end instead of orange/red.

They are alright but I think I will be looking for something a little higher quality in the near future, and my hubby and I would also like to learn how to fill our own cartridges, I see a lot of you do that here, so very cool!!!

Hoping to get to know some of you better AND fully convert my hubby, he often still comes home with regular old cancer sticks, I've been telling him for years that we need to quit. Now we have an alternative instead, best of both worlds!

I have heard a LOT recently about the potential ban, I have my fingers crossed, I would be so mad! Would you believe I almost cried the other day thinking "what if?" I know, a little extreme but it would be really lame.

I have not really been posting too much, although I have been lurking around the forums for a while now... even before I got my ecig.

ive already gone through 4 batteries :C on the super-mini from bestecig.com

any tips to stop killing my batteries?? I ordered a nicostik from nicowolf from the modders forum... maybe that will be the last thing ill have to buy in the ecig category... other than eliquid :p

(Spikey, glad you stopped in here, and your video is terrific.) Odd question... When you guys mention "mouth sores," are you talking about anything resembling a cold sore? I believe I have one of those now. It's entirely outside my mouth. It feels and acts just like a cold sore... I do get those once in a great while. I am hoping to hell it's not due to vaping! Please tell me these "mouth sores" are something entirely different. (Been vaping about 2 weeks, LOVE it, entirely analog-free after a pack a day for 10 years.)

It's happened to me several times (usually right after topping off, I err on the side of too-much). No ill effects I can tell. The caution must be because ingested nicotine is extremely poisonous. Even though my juice blend is pretty low-nic, I spit when it happens, then rinse with water and spit.

Just found this forum yesterday. Desperation led me to buy the first product I found (green smoke). After fastidiously reviewing these boards, I hope I wasn't too rash in my decision. Ecigs seem like a gift from god and I can't wait to receive my parcel tommorow. I've tried to quit repeatedly, but my poker group of 10 years refuses to accomidate my situation. I'm 400lbs. and been smoking for 25 years. My doctor refuses to make gastric bypass an option until i can kick the stick. I've tried every cessation method that's come down the pike for the past 15 years. I really can't envision a life without smoking. 2 packs a day for the past 2 decades... the alternative to not stopping seems rather grim and absolute. In the short time i've been visitng these boards I already think this system may be the very thing for me to modify a nasty habit that would eventually take my life.

I have been vaping for about a month. quit smoking almost 3 months ago, couldn't handle the chantix and kept "cheating" - like the e cigarette a lot. I am using the low nicotine will soon move to no nicotine.

I bought a "eigarette" kit on ebay and then ordered some supplies from Eco cig, took almost a month to get here. the battery won't hold a charge and the carts are dry. can one buy just glycerin to add to them?

I also bought a dse 901, some liquid and am learning to fill my own. through amazon answer grape, good product, fast ship. other order through e cigarette shop, lightening fast ship.

is there any way to sanitize carts that you refill?

Oh, wow. I really do wish you the best of luck! You may want to consult your doctor and get his thoughts on ecigs. Theres another thread in this forum about nicotine and surgery, and it might be good for you to talk with your Dr to come up with a plan and get yourself weaned down to 0 nic e-juice.

Really hoping and wishing for the best

Not exactly an emergency, but, if anyone knows a number for Steve from Vapor4life or Ben from Vapor9...then please pass it along.

I am active Army, a need to get a Vapor King or eq. to my friend leaving for Korea in 5 days. Based on reviews from this site...and overwhelming community participation and support, I will be ordering two starter sets for my friend and I. She needs hers quickly...so someone call me!

Anyway, if I like the experience, the customer service, the value point...I have no problem making this viral and showing it to my troops.

And let me tell to whomever is listening...there is nothing like viral marketing in the U.S. Army. I smoke it..I like it...my PT scores get better from not smoking 1000's of harmful chemicals...

Someone's checkout cart is going to explode.

Hope to see ya'll around soon.

Oh dear, I registered on ECF with a GMail address which I hardly use and forget to look at (I did it as a precaution in case ECF was not very secure - I have in the past been inundated with spam after registering with a forum - apologies to ECF for lack of trust ;) ). Hence I'm not seeing reply alerts and not posting much here, so not building up my post count.

I just tried to change my email address and got told "address already in use"

I went to the Community to post my prob, but I "don't have permission to access".

Please help me to change my email address
