Thanks for the quick response, SharonLM. I was concerned because I placed an order with them about 5 days ago (just prior to finding this site) and I have no experience with ordering direct from China. I'll just sit tight for a while longer and keep my fingers crossed. That's far better than keeping my eyes crossed. :D

LOL...I think you'll be fine with Truman. I order from three different China companies, but I also order from many here in the US and suppliers that advertise on this forum. We have great suppliers here that give great service!

Totally Wicked and Instead are a couple of them I've ordered from and their service is GREAT!! Plus I've ordered from others here too.

I've had great service from several US companies (njoy, True Smoker, Liberation, Smoke Plantation) and have an order in with Totally Wicked. It was the overseas merchants I was concerned about. Their prices were fantastic but the shipping costs amazed me. If one makes a big enough order and they do ship as promised the cost of freight is minimized a bit, but it still cost me about $5 per item on my order. Truman ecig advertises themselves as a wholesaler, but they are obviously willing to sell retail as well. I guess a buck is a buck whether or not you convert it into yen.

Hello, hello.
My name is Jaine and I've been lurking for the past few days.
It's been a fight in my house to try to quit analog for both my husband and I (not to mention the fighting of dieting because we're gaining so much weight from it!).
So we've decided to try vaping.

This weekend we'll be ordering Blucigs (my hard-headed husband has put his foot down on it) but I've got my eye on the Super E.Cig over at Totally Wicked.
Now if I can just get him to see the wonders of re-filling vs buying pre-filled carts.

...Now if I can just get him to see the wonders of re-filling vs buying pre-filled carts.

I cleaned out a cabinet today, and shuffled around 3 unopened boxes of prefilled carts I will NEVER use except to gut them to restuff and refill. Prefilled carts taste funky, and you can't mix flavors. They're the one purchase I definitely would not have made, in retrospect.

I was sitting here chain-vaping at the computer, and suddenly realized I was getting these huge, unbelievably dense clouds of vapor with much more flavor than usual. Normally I let up a little when the atty (901) gets medium-warm... but I think what I was doing was checking the LED's reflection in my monitor and drawing frequently, but stopping before the battery's panic light starts blinking... and then drawing again, keeping the atty very warm. I got like 20 minutes of this bizarre vaping nirvana, and then kind of disturbed it by topping off, I think. It seems like the hotter the atty, the more vapor you get and the more intense the taste is. I actually was (finally) headed to bed, but couldn't stop vaping because this tasted so good! (Equal parts chocolate and cherry, with a little bit of menthol.)

Sheesh, almost a month of this and I'm still refining the technique.

I already purchased mostly everything I need to make my own juice, so he will either fall in love with my "cooking skills" or he can buy the prefilled for himself.

Also, I'm thinking of getting a dse901 as a backup.
It seems to be the most versatile, so if anything breaks I wont have a hard time finding parts. (It's like the Toyota of e-cigs!)
Opinions?

I'm just wondering what the difference between the 901 and the 801 is other than personal preference. I have the 801 (and 510 and RN4081) and I love it, the 801.

Hello everyone. I've been lurking here reading all the interesting and insightful posts for a couple of weeks now. Finally getting around to saying hello to everyone.

I'm new to e-cigs and just placed my first order with ruyan direct. 84mm mini cig package, spare batteries and atomizer. I also took advantage of the May special on e-juice from east mall. Hilton, Camel, Kent, Malboro and Menthol.

Once I get the needed post count I'll be sure to share my thoughts on the products with everyone. Hopefully everything arrives in a timely manner.

Hi,

Another newbie here. I'm really anxious to try out the e-cig. I've been lurking here for about a month or so reading and watching all the great reviews and I finally pulled the trigger and ordered 2 manual switch 510, a usb passthrough, and the e-juice special from the eastmall. It was a tough choice between the dse901 and 510 so hopefully I made the good choice. I have some questions for you experts:

1. Are the manual switch 510 from eastmall.com same device as the titan/yeti/janty? so the parts are interchangeable? I'm assuming yes but I want to make sure.

2. Can I use 510 usb passthrough immediately or do i need to charge it first?

3. I was hesitant to order e-juice but I couldn't pass on the low price. I chose 18 mg because the lowest strength were sold out. I smoke marlboro/camel lights, and I was wondering if 18 mg nicotine is the correct strength or if too strong, is there a way to dilute the juice and how do i go about doing this?

Thank you everyone!

Howzit Guys,

Posting from Cape Town, South Africa - no ones heard of E-Cigs here and if they have its generally viewed as useless rubbish... I've spent a lot of time doing research about them but as far as I can tell they either work for you or they don't. I haven't bought a starter kit yet, partly because I don't know which brand to trust, partly because if it's sent from the US or UK I'll prob get a broken one. (postal service here sux) Anyway as far as brands go app Green Smoke is good...anyone got one? I prob won't be able to vape in public places - don't think anyone will understand in the movies, shops, etc here. I'll be like "No but it's electronic" they'll be like "get out". lol I wanna promote it here cause I think its worth the trouble, lord knows I could use less tobacco in my life:)

Hi - just joined the forum - I had read about E-cigs in a quit smoking forum and it was suggested to buy the bloog which I did and since reading this forum not sure if I should have. I just ordered so I have not received. Can anyone give me any feedback on that particular type of E-cig. I bought the vanilla in 11mg (I smoke a pack a day presently). Someone let me know if I will be ok with this for starters. Thanks

I just looked at the webpage (never heard of the Bloog). Those cartridges are expensive, between $2.25/$2.50 apiece, and I doubt seriously you're gonna get anything NEAR the equivalent of 15-20 cigarettes per cart that they claim. (Everyone seems to claim this, and it's never true.) Even a prefilled cart for a penstyle or mini-cig costs less than half that (and you'll probably eventually want to fill your own carts; prefilled don't taste so great).

If you scroll up and look at the dark blue horizontal bar, you'll see a Search pulldown (third choice from the right). Use that and search for Bloog and you can read what other folks have to say about them. It looks like it is possible to refill the carts with liquid, which would certainly help. I would think most people would be happier with a unit that has an atomizer separate from the cart that contains the liquid. You can vape pretty cheaply, easily, and enjoyably by buying any unit that has an atomizer that's separate from the cart, and buying blank carts for 50 cents apiece or less, and refilling them (and maybe restuffing them when the fiber that holds the liquid gets ratty after a few days -- none of this is hard to do or time-consuming). Your major cost at that point will be e-liquid, and the occasional replacement atomizer or battery. It is good to have several spare batteries and atomizers for your e-cig, because you don't want a crucial piece to die and you go buy a pack or 3 of stinkers while you wait for your replacement to be delivered.

The Bloog site mentions a 35-day money-back guarantee if you don't like it... you might find you're looking for some different hardware sooner rather than later. I love my DSE-901, my starter kit had TWO atomizers and 2 batteries and was about $80 which I think was a good deal, and most people would agree that a 901 or 801 is a good place to start. But read around... everybody's got their own favorite hardware.

I am new to E-Cigarettes as my son bought me a kit from Smoking Everywhere. One battery would not work after charging for 8 hours as per instructions and second batt worked good for 3 days then quit. Tech support was not a lot of help but did say they have seen problems with chargers. They are going to replace my kit but shipping is on my dime. I would like to have this work for me but am concerned about how reliable this brand is. Is there another brand with a better track record. Thanks

Carry something in print explaining what it is. People believe print more than words. I have a pamphlet which will be up on the www.VapersClub.com website by tomorrow. It explains what they are and how they work. Promote and share info with as many smokers as you find... no reason not to share... there are enough for everyone!

Watch some reviews in the review setion or at www.e-cigreview.com and learn about the different types. 11MG and Vanilla should be good to start with though. Adjust higher or lower as needed.

Hello... noob here and i haven't tried e-cigs yet but its ordered and on its way to me. I don't smoke packs on end in a day, just a few here and there. I'm mainly a social smoker so i'm not too sure if this is even for me.
Many social smokers thiink this is not for them... that is your decision.... but no reason to spend the $ on cigs if you can vape instead!

Any product made in China will have quality control issues and once in a while you get a bad product... but if you go with another brand it will cost 1/3 as much to get a device. The warranty will not be as lo0ong.. but as you said you need to ship back on y6our own dime anyway.. why not save some $ and go with a more affordable brand?

On YOUR DIME??? They send you a defective product and want you to pay for the shipping for what you already paid for? I'm thinking more like a refund!

As for a good brand, I have the 901 and love it. Both the 901 and the 801 are very popular devices. Their also amoung the easiest to find replacement parts for. That alone is a major plus for me.

I just got my e-cig yesterday and am enjoying it.
There is a lot of lingo here that I don't understand...;-)

I have a question.
I have the InLife Royale.
It comes in the regular and the menthol flavor. I find that I like both and I really cannot stand non-menthol concerning "analogs".

Are the flavored cartridges from another e-cigarette able to be interchanged???

I have to laugh at the term "analog" as one of the instruments I play are various keyboards. I have always preferred the sound of analog keyboards (Moogs, Hammond organ, etc..), but hope I enjoy the digital ciggie.
