Nextel for Canadians

I ordered 20 feet of XC-116 yesterday from omega Canada and it arrived this afternoon.

Could you provide a link to the exact product you purchased? I'm always interested in adding a Canadian supplier to my DIY list.

I'm not finding any wire on Omega that I would have thought to try.

Indeed, I'd be interested in checking it out too as an alternative to glass fiber and stainless, or perhaps as a hybrid material.

That's what I thought the first time I heard Nextel in this forum. Because that was a phone company which was folded into Sprint some time ago, so I was all confused as to what a cell phone carrier had to do with vaping.

You would be shocked what a cell phone and vaping have in common..... Well at least with the new mod coming out from epipemods. They are using a cell phone battery to power a mod

Yeah, I saw Phil's video on that. Interesting idea, but those batteries aren't as plentiful (in the vaping world) as the regular 10/14/16/18xxx batteries so you'd either have to get them off Epipemods or scour eBay for one that isn't a Chinese fake.

True but I am sure they are more readily available everywhere than mod battery's. In sure you have a radio shack or cell phone dealer closer to you than any vendor.

Either way it's still a neat idea. I would like a better design though before getting really pumped about it.

I just went to omega.ca and typed Nextel in the search box.

To clarify, what I received is XS-116 which is silica, not ceramic.

That said, I do prefer if over regular twisted wick. The weave is more durable than classic yarn-like silica wick
