I've found the sweet spot on my Lemo 2 is closer to 0.1Ω. So I usually do 7 spaced wraps of 28g Ni200 on a 3mm mandrel which comes pretty close to 0.1Ω. It's fantastic too!

Thanks for the tip! When I can get my hands on some Ni wire, I'll have to watch some youtube videos on installing and wick the Lemo2.

This will be my 1st build.

Most B&M's have it at an elevated cost but it's nice to just get like 10ft so you can see if you like it or not. LightningVapes has both tempered (easier to work with) and annealed Ni200 wire in 25ft, 50ft, and 100ft rolls.

    Thanks!

I did drop by the local B&M and sure enough, it was $1 per foot. No biggie - I just picked up 6' (to make an even $20 for a very overpriced drip tip) and went home to start trying.

I have 28AWG NI(200), my first wrap I used the screw driver, very large diameter coil - 5 wraps - when checked on the SX mini the resistance was usable but then I ran into two other problems: twisting a large/small enough chunk of cotton into the center of it and over tightening the screws to the point of snapping off the wires at the screws. (sigh)

My next attempt might of worked in a STM but was far to small for a Lemo2. For the 3rd and final try I used a drill bit - 6 wraps - 0.158 ohms, however the problem this time was again getting enough cotton and getting the build to wick. Since the idea of tossing another full tank of juice just to get at the deck was something I wished not to deal with at the moment, I reverted to my STM and factory built coil head.

I'll re-wick and hopefully fix the "dry coil warning" later.

I re-wicked the coil I built earlier making sure that I "rolled" enough cotton into the coil and the ends were long enough to stuff a bunch down the sides. After priming and using my tweezers to clear the juice channels, I reassembled and refilled.

Final resistance on the screen 0.11 ohms @ 20J & 325F the Lemo2 is performing well. Lucky the "2" has the fill from the top feature as I can see with the tank volume I'll be filling it fairly regularly. :)

(I'm vaping some heavenly DIY vanilla 90% VG as I type this....)
