Agreed.
I will pour it into a clear glass container with a white paper towel as background and take a picture in good light for posting.
I did that too when I received my NR. I discovered (at the time) that I had no clear glasses anywhere except for a wine glass. I used copy paper for the background.

Yup. I got flavorings that are dark (some of them.) Or yellowish or whatever. i have no clue why but it seems to be fine.

I ALMOST have the last of my 17 liters in glass! Sigh. I can see it's not discolored when I transfer it because I usually spill some.

That wine looks full bodied and delicious!

Mostly my stash is Heartland nic, at least the last part. I got some to use due to its cheapness and it tasted and worked fine for me. It's certainly not odorless-- it smells like nic, to me. I don't mind a little nic taste, however. I also have some Nicotine River stashed away, and some Armor, but I thought I was getting glass bottles and I was not. Sigh. That's okay. One more big push ought to do it.

I think storing for "a couple of months" (and there is no way on earth a liter of 100 mg/ml nic would last me "a couple of months" try more like years, but well, IDK. To each their own. I guess my point is storing for 15 years in the future is a bit differnet than buying a liter to use and leaving it out,. LARGE difference.

Even if you're not ready to re-bottle it, I wouldn't "leave it out" for longer than I absolutely had to. Put it in the freezer, or at least the fridge, no matter what kind of container it's in. Then when you're read to re-bottle it in glass, let it come to room temperature overnight first.

Very pleased that my WL order is already here. I ordered 1 bottle of the Ameri Nic and 1 bottle of USP nic. Pics to follow soon I’m waiting for my glass rinsed in distilled water to air dry. Anyone notice a difference between these 2 kinds in terms of taste/odor/color? Their response when I inquired as to the difference didn’t really adequately explain it.
It’s been far too long to remember what’s in the bottom of the freezer from my 2016 order from WL and I’m pretty sure it went straight into the freezer after transferring to glass so I have no frame of reference.
And happy new year to all!

At those prices WL charges they don't bottle it in glass?

That's crazy to me.

safe distance from a black hole
Very few vendors are willing to ship nic base bottled in glass. I believe it's primarily due to the risk of breakage.
One company I bought nic from specified that no items sent by mail will be in glass bottles because of breakages. Nicotine is poisonous and I think in certain countries can only be mailed in non breakable containers. Makes sense actually.

I know, right.

FWIW, I mixed down another 120 ml bottle of NN Armor V1 from 2014 last weekend. I don't know exactly when I got it, but since I didn't date it, it was one of the early batches from the first half of the year. That makes it at least 5-1/2 years old. It's been in the freezer the whole time. No discoloration or off taste at all.
I just mixed the last of my 2014 100mg PG based nic from Randy (RTS IIRC). It has been in the freezer (non self defrosting) 60ml glass Boston rounds with poly caps since I got it and transferred that liter from plastic. It was still crystal clear and as a test I titrated it which tested 97mg. I did not titrate it back in 2014 and even if I had titration isn't precise enough to know if that's any change or not. Got a liter of 2016 100mg to go through before I get into my long term stash from 2016 and again recently in 2019.

In 2014 I tried putting mixed down to 24% (IIRC) and with flavor in the freezer and it got darker and stanky within 6 months or so. So I just mix enough unflavored down for a month or two worth and mix that with flavors for a couple weeks worth at a time and keep both in the dark in a horizontal filing cabinet since then. I've learned that some mixed flavors will get dark and stanky faster than others from all the mixing experiments that didn't make my all day vape list and sat unvaped. Seems to somewhat correlate with the speed in which they will junk up a coil.

I've seen that with vendor juices as well; some get nasty in a matter of months, while others stay OK more-or-less indefinitely.

I mix big batches of unflavored 65VG. Used to be 15mg, but I'm closer to 12 now. Once it's mixed, most of it goes back in the freezer. No problems with that. Even at room temperature, it seems to oxidize much more slowly than 100mg base does.

Here’s the AmeriNic. Definitely not crystal clear but I’ve seen worse. Has a very slight odor. I think my standards are lower with my recent purchases that were exceptionally bad (i.e. really dark and foul smelling)! A year ago I wouldn’t have had the same opinion, lol!

I forget, is that new stock or old stock?

I’m assuming it’s new, I ordered it less than a week ago, but perhaps it’s older as it was on sale. It has an expiration date of Dec 2020 (I’m not seeing a manufacture or packaging date). It’s crazy how it’s been virtually impossible for me to procure any clear nic . I never get anything like the pic you posted in that wine glass seems like everyone else has better luck than I!

I don't get it. Wonder if these places are stopping/reducing nic production.
