Hey buddy welcome to the forum! Sorry about your nicotine experience. Nicotine most certainly has a smell, but there has been a 'new' smell that has popped up recently that is really offensive and novel, even to me, being the guy that likes pungent nicotines for his unflavored and tobacco vaping. ECX is good people, they'll take care of you.

Nothing to add to the above, sdh and r77 have you covered. When you get your permission slip come hang out in the nicotine comparisons thread :)

Best wishes

I've always gotten excellent nic from Wizard Labs. The owner is a chemist and is very particular about what he sells.

I know someone else said it...but just to reiterate, no need to steep nic by itself. Steeping allows the flavor molecules to break down and blend. With just one ingredient (nic), there is nothing to blend. Sounds like bad product.

I recently had this same problem with ECIGEXPRESS I emailed them about my burnt rubbery tarish almost hints of dk tab555 tobacco nicotine base which has always been good and got the following:

We apologize for this inconvenience; we have recently changed our nicotine distributor and are not obtaining our nicotine from a new company that makes healthier and more organic nicotine. The e-cig/DIY industry is pushing more towards this kind of nicotine since it is safer to be vaping, so more and more companies will be making their own juice from this particular nicotine. Because it is organic, it does have a more pungent aroma and taste to it, so we simply recommend starting off with 20% total flavor concentrate

20% flavoring to hide the nicotine smell... ...?

When I called E cig express just now they fed me the same line about "organic" nicotine and adding more flavoring.... Seriously!
Bottom line, No Credit, No Refund!
they even said the E-Juice they sell they have added more flavor to so I guess if you by E juice as well as nic juice from them you are going to be vaping organic tar... sorry not for me I'm done doing business with them

Sorry this has happened to you. Using 20% flavoring to cover up a nasty tar flavor is INSANE! This is not good business practice to tell your customers to increase flavorings. News like this does spread. Therefore, ecx if your reading this please reconsider and refund/credit your customers.

hey Sdh, Yea they responded back to the form ticket they suggested I fill out after I called and once again No dice on a refund or credit thankfully I only ordered a small bottle (115ml) $15 bux so that I could test their product, lesson learned, I can no longer trust this company for any liquids of any kind.
in their defense they did offer to send me a MSDS sheet but I'm not sure how that would explain away the smell and taste of tar. Ha ha!
Thanks for all your help and input everyone! you guys Rock!

I may check them out. I got some great juice from wizard labs and the DIY Flavor shack. thanks for your input!
I had bought some flavoring and some hardware from this company so I decided to give their nic juice a try... wont make that mistake again. just glad I could share my experience with others so they don't make the same mistake I did, again a good reason for great forums like this one!
Vape on!

Thanks Sdh, I checked the thread you posted.
I got my message from them about an hour ago and as of that time they are not willing to refund or replace. they said I had the order for more that 48 hrs...
this company is not reputable IMO
Thanks again!
I'm kinda confused then by their statement. I thought they would replace the nicotine since they posted.

after my last post I got an email from them about an exchange I will hit them up again in the AM and see if they honor it. after they told me no refund no credit I disposed of the remaining nic juice and 200 ml of 50/50 that I initially made up...
it should have never gone this far
Good thing is we all learned something and perhaps it made a difference in the end.
Again a big thanks to all who helped out in this matter

I'd call it "ashtray" smell and is pink/brownish colored. I went ahead and mixed my usual and after just a few puffs my stomach started hurting. I've ordered nic base from Ecig Express for a few yrs and never had this problem prior to this order. I contacted Ecig Express, explained the problems and requested they send a replacement bottle. They requested photos, which I sent. Upon receipt of the photos, they informed me that there's nothing wrong with the nic and I must have not shaken it or made my mix too strong. BULL. I am amazed they will take absolutely no responsibility for this bad nic and tried to blame it on me. Obviously, I will NOT use this nic base as there is something wrong w/ it. Apparently they do not care that they've lost a long term customer. I would advise everyone to NOT deal w/ Ecig Express after this horrid lack of customer service that I experienced. Would anyone like to suggest a company selling nic base who cares about the quality of their products and their customer service?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I hate you got stuck with something you can't use but by sharing your experience with us you can be sure it will impact their business. I bought a bottle of juice one time that tasted like burning PVC when I vaped it. I took it back to where I bought it and they said that since I opened it there was nothing they could do. That is the last of my hard earned money they will ever see. A lot of money missed out on over a $10 bottle of juice!

Well, well...they refused to replace mine by blaming me for not shaking or for mixing too strong...but did NOT mention anything about "over 48 hrs" and I ordered mine a month ago! and just opened the sealed bag last week to discover the bad smell and odd color. I've done same w/ multiple bottles from Ecig Express in the past few yrs and gee, none of those turned smelly or odd colored. They just blamed you for a different reason than they blamed me. Apparently whatever excuse might work for each customer to refuse replacement. They deserve to lose customers w/ treatment like this. I ain't happy.
