I don't think it works quite like that. I'd have to go digging but somewhere I remember reading that the bioavailibility of the nic in the juice isn't nearly as high as it is in a cigarette.

I've basically found I need about double the nic in the juice to equate to what I used to intake in cigs. So in your case I'd say 2mL is closer.

If juice vendors advertise a 30ml bottle of 18mg juice, is that 18mg per ml? Yes, that is correct.

If thats so and I was taking in 18mg's a day through analogs I should only need 1 ml per day?
Nobody can tell you for sure what you are going to need. I smoked a pack a day and use DIY 30mg juice(about 1ml/day). I did use 18mg for a short time and had the e-cig in my mouth constantly.

Ahh ok, I was just wondering if I was taking in 3ml's a day of 18mg juice if that was like tripling my nicotine intake compared to the 18mg's I get from a pack a day of analogs.

Nah, I doubt your intaking more than what you would if you were smoking. ETA: BTW nice to see another detroiter here. Well tech I'm in Lincoln Park but only by a few blocks!

I think I read somewhere that you only absorb a third of the nic compared to cigs. That would be 3ml per day. I think somewhere between 2 and 3ml per day is probably a good starting point.

That could be too. It's a memory that's at least 1.5 years old so TY.

NO, taking in 3ml/day = 54mg which is close to a pack of smokes (25s) at 2mg per or 50mg total.

Because of the lack of ammonia in e liquid (chemical used for accelerated ingestion of nicotine from the lungs into the bloodstream in cigarettes) the affects of vaping are not quite as quick. IMO where we felt a rush when we smoked almost immediately, I have come to find out that the soothing effects of vaping kick in 10-15 minutes after a vaping session. If one can control themselves (4 - 5 vaping sessions/hr), they will notice it and will not vape as much.

I started at 24mg and now vape 8mg, same daily consumption 3-4ml. So that would be at the high end 96mg down to 32mg. Because of the unknowns (what we actually ingest) using the same figures gives one a ball park figure to use, when the constant is the same. Hope this helps :)

Sounds about right.
You could dilute your D.I.Y. to less than 18 mg per mil so you could vape more that 1 ml a day.
I diluted mine to 3mg per mil so I could vape all day without getting a headache.

I've since dropped down to about .25 per mil as I am try to wean myself off nicotine for insurance purposes.
