Nic Levels Inconsistent

So I have this peculiar issue. Where I live I find it hard to guarantee that all flavors are available in the nic strength that I need (above 12mg), so I've decided to increase it by adding 100mg/mL to my juices.

Sometimes, with some juices, it works well and I get a great throat hit. Other times, absolutely none at all.

An example of this of a good throat hit would be with the Glas: Poundcake 12mg and Creme de la Creme: Vanilla Cream 6mg, increasing both up to 18mg with a satisfactory throat hit. However, when I try to do the same with juices like Glas:Milk, The Schwarts:The Downside, That Thai Tea Tho, and five pawns:Bowden's Mate; though they are delicious, absolutely no throat hit at all when I increase them to 18mg/mL.

It's not my setup, because I've experienced the throat hit both on the RBA mini plus (Kangertech Subtank Mini), as well as the royal hunter rda; as well as no throat hit at all on both devices with the latter juices.

Now, does anyone have this experience also? Any theories why this is happening?

Did you mix your nic before using and after mixing? Some of this may also be subjective, flavors affect it. Also your nic may be too "clean" for good throat hit, but seems like 18 mg should always do it. Adding nic changes/intensifies it always, right?
What I have done is to mix the dosage of the 100mg/mL nic base and the store bought juice to the theoretical nic strength. With the latter group I get a sweet (almost perfumy) taste, nothing remotely like the throat hit with the first group of juices. It's mind-boggling. It's as though sometime the nic increase works and sometimes it doesn't.

I'm not sure I understand correctly.

You have premade flavors. You have nicotine. You're mixing the two to up the nicotine strength of the premade flavors. Your throat hit on some flavors is strong and the throat hit on other flavors is weak.

Is that right?

It could be a difference between flavorings, or that the premade juice wasn't the nic level it should have been, or it could be the age of the nicotine. For the ones that have a good throat hit, are you getting the nicotine peppery taste?

Yes, for the ones with the good throat hit I'm getting the peppery taste, which I'm accustomed to; along with the sensation that accompanies nic.

With the lackuster juices, I'm getting no peppery taste nor any sensation from the nic either.

The peppery taste could be the result of a higher nic level, older nicotine, or nicotine extracted via a different means.

There are few ways to extract nicotine. Some will result in a peppery nicotine and some will not. You could be dealing with that difference.

As nicotine ages, it'll develop a peppery taste. It's still good to use, but it'll need to be paired with stronger tasting flavors to cover up the pepper.

It could be that the premade flavors aren't their listed nicotine level and the ones where you aren't getting a throat hit are weaker than the others or you mixed them differently.

So have you tested the juice for nic you are adding nic too?
If the local market cant supply quality juice as you stated how can you be sure of your starting point of nic?
The thing is, I can't. The juices I mentioned above in my first post are all imported from the USA. I'm only assuming they are as their listed strength is. I'm trying to add nic to those with only some succeeding while most others fail.
