well, they are saying in the coop thread that you should take a few draws without firing to make sure the coils are saturated before actually going at it. are you doing it that way, sugars?

I have only had problems once and it was kind of a hot taste and I think it was a bad coil. I changed it out and haven't had any more problems. they do say that it you take one dry hit though, you have ruined the thing, so be careful.

The 5/16" drill bit that I wrapped the coils on doesn't fit down in the slots. Once I have the coils just right, I use a little screwdriver that came in a repair kit for glasses to hold the coil in place while I install the rubber grommet and screw.

Don't know if this is a typo or not but 5/16 is a bit large for coils. Might want to give 1/16 a try.
