never mind. I just went to the site and looked. With the salt versions there is one called 'hit". I am interested in hearing about that one. Did not know there was more than one version. There is a hit, smooth and signature.
If anyone tries the hit version please report back here :)
please not just if you have an opinion (you know what they say about that) but if you have actually tried it :)

thanks sketchness. I bought a liter of the regular and re-bottled it already. So you are saying there is a scratchiness in the regular. I thought the point of the salt version was that there was a throat hit?

In the other varieties Hit and Signature that is true from what I read. Obviously more pronounced with hit. SO if you are shooting for throat hit the others would be a better choice.

However the Smooth is different and in VG. You definitely get a very light tobacco taste to it. But a more pure tobacco taste not the ashy kind of flavor that is part of some cheaper nics. At 10mg it has some throat hit. It isn't absent, it is just very subtle. And the nicotine you can definitely feel it pretty quick. I drip nearly exclusively so dripping 10mg and not much throat hit is pretty amazing. Would be a great option for someone needing the extra nic to quit cigs but who doesn't like the harshness.

I am enticed for sure :headbang:

wow just went and looked (again) and only Smooth comes in VG only. Hit is 100% PG and signature comes either way. No 50/50
Often they do custom base % if you ask. NN is one I call rather than email. Just imo.

Taste tested my second liter of MFS today after breaking it down. Put some 3mg unflavored on a dripper after using some 0mg unflavored to clean the previous flavor out a bit and I couldn't notice any difference other than a tiny bit of throat hit. Forgot to try some of my nude 3mg unflavored right after it though I doubt I would have noticed a difference between the 2.

Has anyone tried Vaperstek's latest "throat hit" nic?
I have a ltr. from last year, that I like, but would not want more TH.
Thanks

I have tried it, and I like it very much. Has a touch more taste than the original TH, but much less than NicSelect or RTS to me. About the same pepper in the nose and TH as the original to me. If anyone as tried Hi-Liq nicotine, I think this new TH nic is very similar in taste, but much less strong in flavor than Hi-Liq. Of course, I am only vaping VG-nic, so the PG-nic might be a bit rougher. I recommend trying a sample to see if it works for you.

If I have to spend the extra money to buy glass liter bottles to freeze the Vaperstek nicotine, then their price is no longer a good deal. I would rather buy nic in glass bottles for a few dollars more and avoid the transfer headaches and extra expense. That is a big deal killer for me.

If you like RTS, then go for it. I find it too sweet and heavy for me, even cloying. In the beginning I liked the tobacco taste it had, but started to tire of the sweetness. That was from end of June. I have heard in recent weeks RTS is more flavorless, however. The RTS I got in June was shipped in PET.

VT ships in PET. I know that VG-nic in PET does quite well without freezing for many months, ignoring trace plasticizors from the PET. PG-nic is another story, and will yellow/darken in PET after months without freezing. Gets back to my original thoughts about the higher VG viscosity and lower molecular mobility. I have seen results of non-frozen VG-nic and PG-nic after about 22 months in PET, and the VG-nic was hardly changed, while the PG-nic was a rose/rust color. These were originally Chemnovatic premium nics.

Carolina Extract nic is very expensive by today's standards. By 2011 standards, $90 for 0.5L would be considered a pretty good deal. Have not tried it yet. Why they have their 120 mL samples in a glass bottle with rubber stopper is beyond me, however. Rubber is more porous than LDPE, and I don't think it's a good idea to measure 100 mg/mL nic with drops. The headspace N2 it has would probably exchange with air pretty quickly.

The only vendor I know of that ships in glass is Nude Nic and that is just for the Armor line of nic. Vendors generally don't want to risk breakage of big glass bottles in transit.
I know the Armor v2 comes in 500 ml bottles as the biggest option. I think I read they tried the 1 liter bottle but it didn't hold up well with the vacuum seal.

Yeah I rebottled the Carolina 120 on arrival. Liked it so much I bought a liter and just stuck it in the freezer. Even if it was a good idea to measure 100mg by drops it would be super messy with VG.

It is certainly a special treat for me when I crack open that liter. I feel like it was worth it but I totally get why many pass at that price. I want to get one more before things get dicey, but some other things may win out. Like sending kids to college.
