In the bottle:
They both smell like nicotine
A has a lighter, sharper, almost sweet aroma to it. If anything it reminds me of the VZ nic that I've had (well, just a little bit I guess). Not getting much in the way of an overbearing, basic aroma at all. If its there its very subtle.
B has a more full or rich nose to it, it reminds me quite a bit of the WLR I recently got. A touch of that basic smell for sure, but just a touch. I'm reminded of the word 'caramel' that Kurt used to describe WLR (I think) a few pages back.
Flavor
Really not much to taste here. Both very clean nics. I really have to use a lot of nose exhalation and puffing to key in on these puppies, which says something I suppose. (Maybe it just says that I've annihilated my taste receptors with the mechs and sub ohm coils lol ).
I would say that B has more of a 'flavor' than A for sure, and its close to that WLR/MFS thing...kind of basic, caramelish, reminscient of swedish snus (minus the earl gray tea and mint-esque flavoring of course)
A just strikes me as "sharp," reminding me of the new RTS and VZ nic that I've had, but really not as much. But closer to that than the balls to the wall 2011 MFS experience.
TH: B is more in your face than A for sure. They both have nice TH, A a little more than WLI and other "clean nics" and B a lot more. However I'm not experiencing B as sledgehammer-ish as my old MFS, maybe not even as much as WLR.
As an example when I go to work I don't vape at all (except for the rare nic fit) but I bring my Reo/ERA with me for the car rides. Usually when I start vaping after a long break the initial TH is monster, and rapidly begins to calm down. Eventually its just meh.
After work one day I vaped my face off with A while braving the delightful Bay Area traffic to get home. TH was well washed out for me by the time I pulled into the driveway. I came inside and grabbed B and voila, my throat took a nice kick in the groin. Ya dig?
Pepper: Very light pepper from A if I really try, a healthier amount from B. Again A is striking me more as 'sharp' here, and B more peppery, diffuse. I know, meaningless, but most fun things are.
Well if I had to vape one unflavored it would be B, but I'm not sure I would do that over WLR or old MFS as I know them. I'm not going to hazard a guess as to the identity of either, as that would be pointless. Batches and perhaps sources vary, so that wouldn't say much. Assuming there is some kind of consistency among vendors B sounds more like MFS as I know it from an old batch, but then again I've never had Nude so that's not saying anything really.
On a side note I've used A in a flavored batch and its as I'd expect it, minimal 'contribution' to the mix but a tad more than I'd expect from something like WLI or XTR, again kind of like VZ and the new RTS as I know them. Nothing like old MFS where it supplies its own full blown tobacco base to the mix lol.
This is much easier when there are 3 + nics being sampled. As I've said before, contrast makes qualities stand out so much more, especially when dealing with something as subtle and elusive as nic + pg/vg. I remember being totally blown away by the differences noted when I sampled a few different PGs, raw dog, a while back. And then Hoosier hipped me to why they vary so much in his experience. But I'm not a PG guy anyway, so I digress.
Would love to give these puppies a genisis comparison and throw some other nics into the mix, but I'm too busy with other life things at the moment.
Mingi has been in touch, so we'll know what we're dealing with soon enough.
Thanks for tuning in.
