Still hitting it every day. I had been pummeling my throat with mechs, more flavors than usual, and sub ohm coils for a while before starting this so I'm giving my buds a chance to rise from the grave. (This "german" silica is phenomenal by the way. I'm not a silica guy at all, primarily because I don't like the taste but this stuff is as "neutral" as I've ever had from silica. Unfortunately it springs an erection everytime I remove the top cap and gets all over the place but hey, can't blame it for getting excited)

I tried to give "A" a run in a genisis but my DID is acting the fool and shorting left and right so that didn't go anywhere. Maybe my DID is racist?

I may run them through dual gennies within the next few days before giving my "final" impression (preliminary really, its not even been a week).

For now I'll say these nics are both great by me. Not a surprise, they usually are.

(There's a little 'inside reference' on that book shelf to a comment a made in this post. Wolcen is likely the only one that recalls. For the person that guesses it, I have a prize: full disclosure of my dirty little biases. And a few pairs of my socks which make great wicking material ;) )

    Do you remember this?

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/413267-rust-colored-nicotine.html

Besides being funny, i did mention my aging experiment (do see some results now and something, as Jimi said, "odd" - but, my camera is starting to act up) and this was the first time I read something from "thejaker".

Hi, JA. I hadn't realized that Jaker had been here before. Kinda nice to know he's part of the community.

Good luck with your experiment, I don't think I could do that myself. Seems quite different than an aged bottle of wine.

    In the bottle:

They both smell like nicotine ;)

A has a lighter, sharper, almost sweet aroma to it. If anything it reminds me of the VZ nic that I've had (well, just a little bit I guess). Not getting much in the way of an overbearing, basic aroma at all. If its there its very subtle.

B has a more full or rich nose to it, it reminds me quite a bit of the WLR I recently got. A touch of that basic smell for sure, but just a touch. I'm reminded of the word 'caramel' that Kurt used to describe WLR (I think) a few pages back.

    Flavor

Really not much to taste here. Both very clean nics. I really have to use a lot of nose exhalation and puffing to key in on these puppies, which says something I suppose. (Maybe it just says that I've annihilated my taste receptors with the mechs and sub ohm coils lol ).

I would say that B has more of a 'flavor' than A for sure, and its close to that WLR/MFS thing...kind of basic, caramelish, reminscient of swedish snus (minus the earl gray tea and mint-esque flavoring of course)

A just strikes me as "sharp," reminding me of the new RTS and VZ nic that I've had, but really not as much. But closer to that than the balls to the wall 2011 MFS experience.

TH: B is more in your face than A for sure. They both have nice TH, A a little more than WLI and other "clean nics" and B a lot more. However I'm not experiencing B as sledgehammer-ish as my old MFS, maybe not even as much as WLR.

As an example when I go to work I don't vape at all (except for the rare nic fit) but I bring my Reo/ERA with me for the car rides. Usually when I start vaping after a long break the initial TH is monster, and rapidly begins to calm down. Eventually its just meh.

After work one day I vaped my face off with A while braving the delightful Bay Area traffic to get home. TH was well washed out for me by the time I pulled into the driveway. I came inside and grabbed B and voila, my throat took a nice kick in the groin. Ya dig?

Pepper: Very light pepper from A if I really try, a healthier amount from B. Again A is striking me more as 'sharp' here, and B more peppery, diffuse. I know, meaningless, but most fun things are.

Well if I had to vape one unflavored it would be B, but I'm not sure I would do that over WLR or old MFS as I know them. I'm not going to hazard a guess as to the identity of either, as that would be pointless. Batches and perhaps sources vary, so that wouldn't say much. Assuming there is some kind of consistency among vendors B sounds more like MFS as I know it from an old batch, but then again I've never had Nude so that's not saying anything really.

On a side note I've used A in a flavored batch and its as I'd expect it, minimal 'contribution' to the mix but a tad more than I'd expect from something like WLI or XTR, again kind of like VZ and the new RTS as I know them. Nothing like old MFS where it supplies its own full blown tobacco base to the mix lol.

This is much easier when there are 3 + nics being sampled. As I've said before, contrast makes qualities stand out so much more, especially when dealing with something as subtle and elusive as nic + pg/vg. I remember being totally blown away by the differences noted when I sampled a few different PGs, raw dog, a while back. And then Hoosier hipped me to why they vary so much in his experience. But I'm not a PG guy anyway, so I digress.

Would love to give these puppies a genisis comparison and throw some other nics into the mix, but I'm too busy with other life things at the moment.

Mingi has been in touch, so we'll know what we're dealing with soon enough.

    Thanks for tuning in.

Is anyone familiar with nicotine from madvapes, who they buy from and how it compares with others? I find the throat hit somewhat muted - vaping 90% Vg, 10% distilled water at 18mg. Am I using enough distilled water, or is it the nature of the nic from madvapes responsible for the mild TH. Thanks everyone for a great thread.

I believe it's PG that gives TH.

The last time I saw the price on Madvapes nic. I thought it was a bit on the pricey side. I do remember their juice line. It did lack TH, that's for sure. I vaped 36 mg back then, and it did lack nic delivery as well.

So ECF user mingi was kind enough to send me two samples of MFS and Nude Nicotine as I stated above. I have no idea which is which as they are labeled 'A' and 'B'. I sent him a PM thanking him and have yet to hear back. He's super busy at the moment so hopefully we'll hear back from him. Maybe we'll never know what 'A' and 'B' are !

One has acquired more of a tan then the other. The lighter liquid wasn't clear either, despite looking that way in the pic. Mingi told me they were both stored in glass at room temperature.

Being silly (please do NOT do this) I nosed both bottles and was surprised to find far less nicotine odor than I was expecting based on the appearance. B was a touch more intense than A, but they were both pretty mellow. At most B was similar to my recent batch of WLR, nothing close to the MFS I have from the olden days. I caught a whiff of that caramel thing that WLR had recently (Kurts description I think, but I took to it!) A was even lighter, but not quite as light as WLI/XTR (I'm going off memory here, we all know how reliable that is...). Nothing offensive in either.

Both mixed down to 18 mg with 82% home cooked acqueous VG

sorry if you have to strain your neck to look at this one, I can't battle photobucket anymore

I whipped up an 8/7 wrap of .5 A1 ribbon kanthal on a 14 gauge needle for both my ERA and Igo S, they're both metering in at 1.8-1.9 ohm. Strangely enough I've been re exploring silica lately so they're both wicked with 'german' silica form RTD. Been testing since yesterday morning. Stay tuned ;)

    Drum roll please....

    A = Nude Nicotine
    B = MyFreedomSmokes

I have nude nic atm and Cyrus described them pretty spot-on. 'Sharp' clean hit that doesn't impart it's own flavor and has a relatively mellow throat hit. I enjoy the throat hit and wouldn't necessarily label it as 'mellow', but I can't seem to find another word for it atm. Smooth maybe? Not harsh for sure, but in a good way. Meh, screw it. Its very clear and clean and has the least 'present' odor I've had from the nics I've tried thus far. I'm diggin it.

Looks like NN got booted from ECF?

Not by my reckoning. Nic "A" had less flavor and was clearer, which if that's what you want (and it's what I want) is good.

I don't think that's what he (she?) meant...
One thread vanished, but his profile is still active.

That's what I noticed. First the thread was under review and then it disapeared "sorry page you were looking for can't be found" message. The last post mentioned something about a September discount code. There was a lot of good information in that thread. I can't imagine what could have happened to have the whole thing deleted.

Heard of another new supplier now- Heartlandvapes. Anyone heard of them?

price looks fantastic Nicotine Solution 100mg Pure USP Grade - Liter Heartlandvapes Wholesale

    Anyone use their nic yet?

Edit - "Free Shipping (May Contain Surcharges) $20.00"

Weird, what kind of sucharges could be included for "free" shipping?

EDIT update - That $20 surcharge was for a liter of nic and a gal each of PG & VG
$10 surcharge of liter nic + 1 gal of PG
no surcharge on the nic alone but it's 74.99, free for over $75 so I had to add a dropper bottle :)

It must be a weight surcharge when including gallons - I dunno

    another edit update -
I just deleted everything and dropped a gallon, then another in my cart.
2 gallons of 100mg nic for $509.98 with free shipping and no surcharges so not weight related

506 bucks for 2 gallons of 100mg nic? It's either way low quality or a game changer.
