Thanks, but I think I will pass now that I've seen more specific descriptions. I believe NicVape is fixing this. I'm a bit miffed with Alchem for doing this, given how clean they have been up to now, but stuff happens. I'm sure it will be remedied one way or another.

yea kurt I was going to say, you know me I like the funk and the skunk...this 'new' stuff is something else entirely! I'd be in total shock if you liked it.

the really interesting ...well interesting if its true...thing to me is, why would ECX and RTS suddenly be peddling this new nicotine, when they clearly had different sources previously? Is it all from alchem or just all extracted via the new method?

PMFJI, not doing DIY at this point in time but in case new regs are handed down soon, I thought I should be prepared just in case. So I'm buying nic to store, as I assume everything else would still be readily available...

Very informative reading here, thanks for that. Read the first 20 pages, then jumped and read the last 25. This rubber/fuel/skunk smell has me concerned as I was hoping to store my supply without opening it first. Anyhoo, been doing some checking around the innertoobz and found something that may indicate the problem? Someone said that they had 2 containers the same, one of which that had been poorly sealed, months later was still clear/light in color but had a very strong rubber odor and tested substantially less nicotine content than it should have had. So, could it be that there was a batch of nic that wasn't stored properly where it was made or in shipment, that these venders purchased?

Anyway, that's my .02. Thanks again for all the info!

I talked to nude nicotine the other day. he said they do not use the alchem and will not be doing so
of course, I didn't think to ask where he gets his, but I've ordered several times and have been very happy. keep in mind I order 6 or 12 mg nic .
Nude nic is Chinese sourced. Nothing wrong with that.

Hi everyone, is there such a thing as synthetic nicotine, or are they all derived from tobacco. I asked this question from VZ and never got a response. Perhaps they thought it was a silly question...

Synthetic l-nicotine does exist, but it is very expensive. Most synthetic nic is a d,l-mixture of the two stereochemical forms of nicotine, and is also very expensive. The nicotine we use and is used for NRTs is extracted l-nicotine from tobacco. Cheapest, and every bit as pure as synthetic l-nicotine. Last I looked synth d,l-nic was about 100x as expensive as pure extracted l-nic, and it would be about 75% as potent as l-nic (d-nicotine is about 1/2 as potent as l-nic).

There was a vendor a few years back that was insisting that only his nic was l-nic, and all other nic for vaping was d,l-nic, so his was better. Now THAT was silly.

CYrus I didn't know you liked the funk and skunk..You should pay me double for the litres I sent you, even though I didn't charge you anything.lol It don't get much more funkier OR skunkier.. ROFLOL

Its different brother! The funky nicotine I've talked about loving so much was old MFS, wizard labs regular, and to a lesser extent ECX. When you use them unflavored they have more or less of a tobacco, earthy kind of taste to them that reminds me of snus somewhat. And the smell is more or less stronger to my nose also. When you use them with a non sweet tobacco recipe there's a nice synergy also between the nic and the flavor. The 'clean' nicotines were basically highly attenuated versions of the same thing. You couldn't catch those notes or smells without 1) vaping unflavored for a while 2) really keying in on them. Not as fun for a primarily unflavored vapor, or at least not me.

This new stuff is just toxic smelling and tasting!

I got my third liter (replacement) from MFS the other night. Its the same as the rest. I've requested a refund at this point and I'm totally frustrated.

Have any advice on how to dump 5+ liters of nicotine? I'm really not sure what the safe way to do it is. I don't know anything about plumbing or water lol.

And K3vin either way thank you so much for sending me the nicotine, it was fun. Its proven to me that 1) alchem is now everywhere 2) for RTS 'made in america' means bottled in america lol

And the extras are fantastic! Hitting some cedar pipe right now with my coffee, love it!

It seems that some of the nicotine used in eliquids is extracted from nicotine sulfate rather than direct from tobacco plants. Nicotine sulfate is a substance that is about 40% nicotine and is used in the agricultural industry.

Some vapers have commented on an odor with sulphurous properties produced in our bodies.

Has nicotine sulfate been the primary source of a further refined nicotine by some nicotine producers?

    ...commentary?

Still pumped to try the dirty base just haven't gotten to it. And with that I'm off to work lol damn it.
