Hi everyone again, one more question. I am trying to decide how much nic to hoard, just in case. I have approximately 600 ml of 100 mg Nic, which at my vaping rate of 3 ml per day at 8 mg, comes out to approximately 8 years of supply. But part of my nic will surely go to waste trying new recipes - especially since I make a lousy chef. Eventually I will settle for 4 recipes and then stop looking for new ones. So here is my question to some of you veterans: How much Nic do you waste before finding a successful recipe. Thanks in advance.

Or you can mix your reciepes in small batches with 0 nic until you get them right.

Ty, the owner of HeartlandVapes, confirmed for me that HV's 100mg/ml liquid nic is exactly the same as what they've been selling all along. HeartlandVapes liquid nic has the same very slight yellow tint as my WizardLabs Regular nic, but it carries no smell, the potency is correct, and it gives a lovely, crisp bite.

With coupon code 25off100, a one-liter jug is still $74.99 with free shipping, which is the best price I know of for that quantity (a gallon is an even better deal), so I ordered another liter of 50/50 PG/VG. At that price, more good nic in the freezer is worth the investment.

Coupon code "25off100" is not valid. Are you sure this is what worked for you?

Is that coupon code still valid?

Thanks very much for the great idea; I should have thought of that ...

I didn't think of it, just read it in the DIY section. It's taken several months of reading to feel comfortable mixing more than just a single flavor mix. It's tedious but worthwhile.

They say on their website that their Nic is extracted from tobacco LEAVES, not tobacco remnants - the old way Alchem used to extract their Nic before switching to leaves .... the main cause of the new complaints with smell/taste.

I was searching for alternate sources, and I came across a site selling the kind we can't talk about. There was a choice between 2 purity levels. It had two interesting little blurbs (edited to prevent breaking the rules, but you'll get the gist)

"Purity with two selections:
X%, that means there are at least Xmg of ____ nicotine in a 100mg of the liquid.
Y%, that means there are at least Ymg of ____ nicotine in a 100mg of the liquid.
If you make E-Liquid with fruit or light flavors, we suggest you use X% nicotine, as Y% nicotine has a stronger smell. "

and
"Y% purity of nicotine is better used for tobacco flavors, not for e-juice with other flavors."

From the sound of this, it seems that the "Y" nicotine has been making the rounds.

Vaping WL 12mg unflavored.... Wow! What a difference, pure neutral aloe taste like it should. Smooth on the mouth nice th, no bad aftertaste. I'm very happy with it.

I'm convinced the new process mfs was stored in a rubber lined vat. Or run through rubber lines, its terrible compared to this WL.

Ain't it great!!! I feel guilty when I think about adding any flavoring to it. Seems like it would just take away from the goodness.

I wish I had seen this thread before making an order from ECX. I have always used WL but ECX had the flavorings I wanted to I tried them for the first time. I got some 48mg pg Nic base and this stuff smells horrible. I'll spare you what my wife said it smells like. I put in a ticket (it arrived yesterday) and got a very prompt reply this morning informing me that this is an organic nicotine and may have an odd smell or taste and I (like others) should include more flavoring to compensate for the bad smell. I could also send it back and if they found something wrong with it they would exchange it free of charge.

I'm not going to bother with sending it back to them. I seriously doubt they would find anything wrong with it. I'm sure they will tell me the same things they said in a follow email that their nic is fine to use.

Looks like I'll be WL customer from now on. I've always received good clean product from them Just wish they carried a larger variety of flavoring.

    Oh well,
    lesson learned.
