Their VG is quite nice actually, just don't care for the PG. They told me it was DOW, sure it's high quality, just didn't care for the taste

Hey Cyrus - did you see my other suggestion for you to try the Proctor and Gamble website for samples?

I also found PG at my local tractor supply store for $21. No idea the actual origin, and I haven't found a CofA as yet (as Rocketman mentioned, I'd want to be on the lookout for vaping-specific contaminants). It is at least labeled "Propylene Glycol, U.S.P.".

I don't think I'm into the Walmart VG which is also USP but the labeling anyway shows "Glycerin 99.5% anhydrous" in the description. To my understanding, the current USP monograph has that assay 99.8% min.

I sure hope The Tractor Store PG is okay...

Used as a cattle-feed additive. Treats ketosis or something like that. I dunno my cows really, but I can make like I actually speak bovine failry well.

ETA: I had to learn this after the first place I called - a farm supply store - responded to my question by asking what it's used for LOL

Yeah man. I actually put in a sample request a while back and heard back...nothing... lol. Which is why I was needling for alternate sources. Thank you though. Maybe I should try again? hehe

I think they've become hip to all the vapers raiding their stock. I notice PnG VG is also no longer available on Amazon either.

Hello guys, Sorry if i'm being off-the topic
but i wanna ask you about the DIY NIC base from EcigExpress.com specially on the Throat Hit ! i hate smooth TH or weak TH !

Thanks for your time

Cool_Breeze back in post #192, posted a chart he created that summerized all the nic comparisons Cyrus did, including throat hit. That might help you out.

MSDS sheets are nice to keep OSHA off your back in the plant, but for the DIYer mean little. An employer must provide access to chemical exposure data to employees per OCHA HCS.
Did anyone notice the dates on the NIC COA, the PG COA, and the VG COA?

and a repeat of a previous question. Where do all these other brands come from?

RTS, WL, and MFS sell to other vendors. BE seems to be back in business and I guess they are selling to other juice vendors. So it is quite possible to take 3 different bottles of nic base, from different sources, come up with different results, and they come from the same exact source.

It saddens me that Box Elder will only sell in large quanities at 100 mgs now. I just cant safely store that much with a toddler in the house. If I could I wouldnt buy from anyone else.

I too have young children in the house and my wife is very nervous as well as I am about storing 100mg nic in the house, especially the freezer. What I was thinking of was using a lock box such as this one from staples MMF Industries™ Cash Box with Locking Latch | Staples® I doubt it would fit that 500ml bottle but for myself I was just planning on getting 250ml of 100mg for now and cutting it down to 50mg and storing it in 100ml bottles, I looked up the size for 100ml bottles such as these http://www.specialtybottle.com/cobaltblueeuroglassbottle100mlwdroppercapwht.aspx and it looks like they will fit nice in there, might even be some room for some nice padding. I'm just waiting on payday to start acquiring supplies then I'll give it a shot and see how it works before I actually get any nic. Just an idea.

I don't have children...yet. I intend to have my first soon, and then my next 9 shortly thereafter.

I applaud all of you staying safe with the nic in home with the children, believe it or not it is something I worry about

You might be singing a different tune after the first two or three. :)
I can't begin to describe how much I love my two little guys, but I can't imagine having more anytime soon. It's a lot of work. I'm always amazed when I see people with big families. I don't know how they do it. My wife's maternal grandparents had 17 kids! (Irish catholic - if you're having sex, it's to make babies).

I'd shudder if I ever saw my 3yo getting a hold of even 5ml of 100mg. Shoot - I've only whiffed 60mg, and that certainly seems enough to do some serious damage.

Never underestimate a toddler: they can be amazingly resourceful at times. It's one of the things that really blows me away, worries me, and cracks me up all at the same time about them.

Hey all! I've been away due to work the last few weeks and wow this thread has been all over the place! In a very good way though. First off I can't help you with 3 kids and 5 dogs CV, but I can loan you 2/2 , that might help you rethink you strat! :p Our 4 yr old talks more than any seasoned politician. Except he eventually makes a valid argument!

CV You asked a number of pages ago for a comparison between ECX and XTR. I had both with me while I was afk and I still can't find any noticeable difference between the two. They both seem to deliver what I look for in a Nicotine. Clean/smooth/ and plenty of TH, and yes I believe that nic leads directly to solid TH. There are other additives that can be used to achieve the effect, but a good nic negates the need for them.

And yea Jimi you're insane! LOL jk, I tend to taste test all my ingredients including Nic, but I draw the line at 50mg.

I'll have to spend some time reading through the rest of pages that I've missed so I can properly digest them. It's really good to see this conversation continuing on though.

Ellendiane:

so as I said, sadly I can't say anything useful wrt to comparisons of TW Ice and the others, as I've never had it

perhaps someone else can help out with that?

As far as wanting a U.S.A. nicotine, you're in good company. I think we all probably do on some level or another.

RTS is the only company that claims to have a U.S.A extracted nicotine. Some people who love RTS don't believe to be true, and some do. I personally don't believe it, but I'm not basing that on any hard information at all.

If you want something very pure tasting and smooth, I think you'd be happy with ECX, xtreme vaping (which is more expensive), or Vaping Zones nicotine (which has a tad more bite than the first two, but still very clean tasting). Wizard Labs Ice belongs in this list also, but I don't think they sell it yet :)

Please let us know if we can help with anything else. I'm going to dig up cool_breeze's chart for you that may help
