Hey guys so I was planning on ordering some like 60mg/ml standard unflavored nicotine. With my schedule and work, I almost never catch the mail man and I have to pick it up the next day at the post office. It's been 90 almost every day here, I'm worried all that time in the truck is going to mess up the nicotine? What do you guys think?

I've never had a problem with nic that has been delivered during the summer. I suppose it would be better if purchasing during a cooler time of the year, but that's not always possible. You could purchase a small amount that would get you thru the summer, then in the fall get a larger amount for the long haul.

Your concerns are valid. Heat does effect NIC quality. Most delivery vehicles and transfer points are some what temperature controlled and not a big concern but letting it sit on a door step in hot weather for a good part of the day may not be so good. I would try to make that exposure as limited to the outside elements as possible.

I just started diy not to long ago and the whole time most of my juices had a very harsh exhale, even after reducing flavoring and nicotine. On a hunch I made some unflavored juice, with and without nicotine, and discovered the nicotine is in fact the cause. Now when the nicotine was delivered it was hot out and to make matters worse, it sat in the hot mailbox for quite some time. Do you think nicotine got so harsh due to the heat?

(The nicotine was only slightly discolored, pretty much clear. Juices mixed @ 3-6mg/ml)

Thanks

    Not a ton of complaints about summer deliveries, but there are many places that still sell crap nic, so it might have been bad before you got it.

    Was the harsh nic in vg? Either way, you need to shake it up good when first getting it. Many times it is uniformly mixed and so isn't needed, but just in case, since there have been reports about people having much, much stronger mixes than expected... Just a thought :)

    Yeah that is a possibility too, as there was a time or two that I couldn't specifically remember shaking it before using it, but after reading up on nicotine threads, I'm thinking it is more likely the nicotine mixture itself (50/50 pg/vg), thats the way it is made, I'm confident I'll find nicotine from somewhere else that i will like much better.

    @JimDrock

    Can I ask which brand of nic base you were using?

    Might be worth us avoiding it considering your experience.

    I got it from Amazon.com:

    DR 100mg/mL Nicotine Solution in 50%:50% PG:VG for Gum or Lozenge

    It is pretty expensive ($14 for 15ml) compared to what else is available.
