Nicotine leak in post

Sorry first time posting so I hope I am doing it correctly. I usually just read the posts :).
I am in Australia. Looks like it will be banned in a couple of months so everyone is stocking up on nicotine etc.

Just want to see what anyone thinks. I recently received two separate orders of 100% nicotine in the post and both orders were leaking. The leaking was contained within the the clip seal bag the bottles came in.
First order was 2 x 100mg nicotine freebase bottles.
Second order was 2 x freebase nic and 2 x salt nic all 100mg.
Weird thing is the 2 freebase bottles were leaking but the salt nic bottles were not leaking.
Both orders from same company. First time I let it go, second time I emailed them and received a pitiful response nothing else said except "apologies for that" and proceeded to give me a very small refund of money back. Nothing compared to what I have spent on these bottles not to mention the other orders I have placed with them.
I am worried about the safety, quality and exposure of this nicotine?
Just a side note it is very hot here at the moment. No idea if that can effect it.
I have pics if needed.
Thanks in advance for any help

Heat can have a bad effect on nic. Not sure how much, but my guess is a few days in a delivery system isn't going to have much effect. I've ordered 100mg in the summer without any problems. Likewise the leaks. The stuff that leaked out would be replaced with air causing some vanishingly tiny amount of oxidation of the nic. Suppose in theory some contaminates could have made their way into the bottles when they leaked. Hard to see a problem unless they were packed in arsenic flavored foam or something.

I would use it without a second thought. Just rebottle the ones that leaked before you stick them in the freezer. If they came in plastic rebottle them all in glass.

What all is getting banned in Australia? The news in the US is only disposables are getting banned.

I believe the new rules mean anything vape is banned unless you get a prescription. Possession and use are illegal without a prescription as well. Maybe an Aussie can confirm the details.

I have transferred them to bottles and put in freezer as its so hot here. They spend at least 7 to 10 days in post to get here from new Zealand in very hot weather.
I was just concerned about quality and safety. Since the company was not forthcoming with any information. Thanks for your reply.

Wait, they gave you a partial refund?! How did they justify that? Refund minus post?
They refunded a small amount of liquid they deemed lost in the leaking!
They actually never said anything much at all. Just a few words, sorry and very small refund.
I won't be using them again as the response was pretty piss poor. No possible explanation for the leaking or safety, nothing. Would have been nice if they responded to my concerns considering how much money I spend with them.

Well they banning disposables again! They already banned them.
We were on a prescription thing where we could order our nic with a prescription from overseas.
But now they regulating it completely, so we have to buy it from an Australian pharmacy which cost a fortune to buy through. You can do that now but they to costly so everyone is diy and orders nic overseas. All that after you pay also for a prescription. Just far to costly.
Apparently it will also be in one small device they have and only method or tobacco flavour.
All flavours and devices will also be banned.
Some of this is yet to pass parliament next month but knowing this government they pushing it through.
So we see what happens.
But we all stocking up on everything.
That's all to the best of my knowledge we following it all very closely here.

That’s ludicrous. And very different what they are saying in the news in the USA. Theres a huge discrepancy between those two stances

They may be trying to see what they can get away with. That wouldn’t fly in the U.S or the E.U. I suggest calling again or something.

That’s a whole lot more than is being reported in the U.S. this needs to be more widely known. If scrip requirements didn’t solve anything this won’t either.

Just so you know, you've only bought 10% nicotine, which is much less hazardous

Just what worries do you have?
For safety just wipe the outside of the bottles with a damp cloth.
For quality, everything still contained within the bottles are still fine, and the caps were not tightened, but you've remedied that.
If you're not putting the bag over your face purposely trying to inhale that nic, do you have more concerns? Sheesh, I'd suck it up with a syringe and use it.

Well, the small amount of money they saved by dissing you will cost them a lot more by losing your custom, plus the other folks who read your comments and look elsewhere themselves. All they had to do was apologise and send you a small bottle of the stuff that leaked as compensation.
