Nicotine level calculation

Hi all just got my ego few days ago and really feel that this device is great! Alot of smoke produce and long lasting battery.

Now i had a problem about the nicotine level and i had read up the forum calculation and still quite confuse.

One of the thread stated that 1ml=20 drop of e-juice
so if i am using e-juice nicotine level 14mg does it mean this on every 2 drop i drip?

14 divide by 2 and divide by 10=0.7mg of nicotine per every 2 drop?

is this right? pls help and thanks!

I wouldn't worry too much about how many mg's you are using, here are a couple of things to consider:

* we all absorb nicotine differently; if you and I sat down and vaped identical juice from identical e-cigs we wouldn't get the same amount of nicotine.

* you can tell when you smoked too much one night, right? you'd get all shaky and nauseous and feel hot and sweaty, right? Same thing will happen if you vape too much. If you vape sooo much that you think it should be making you sick but it isn't, you just aren't absorbing it as much as you thought.

* in addition to nicotine, you are vaping against all the 4000+ chemicals that you used to get from cigarettes. Sometimes you need to have a little bit more nicotine to combat that amount of chemical withdrawal. HOWEVER our best estimation is that vaping gives you somewhere between 10-40% less nicotine than smoking did. This probably accounts for why new vapers can't put the PV down for the first month or so.

and yes, I think your math is about right: 2 drops=.7mg's=10 puffs (maybe?)
1 cigarette=1mg=10-15 puffs - maybe more(?)

it's 14mg per mL. so in 2mL's there's 28mg's. in 1mL there's 7mg's.

Rosa, Popcorn is using 14mg of Nicotine. Popcorn says: "i am using e-juice nicotine level 14mg". It does not change unless it is cut/diluted.
I am talking about the Nic Level.

but i think cant be every puff i inhale i am taking 14mg of nicotine right?
i think maybe if i vape 20 drop of e-juice nicotine level 14mg (that is 1ml ) maybe my total intake will be 14mg as e-juice stated that 1ml=14mg nicotine.
and you said that 1 drop of e-juice and 100 drop of e-juice is still the same but if i vape 1 ml of e-juice i am ok but if vape 100 drop of e-juice maybe i will be gone. am i right?

I think popcorns juice is 14mg per mL. Just like a Tylenol 500mg capsule will give you 500mg of tylenol but if you take two of them you'll get 1000mg's of tylenol.

I don't know of any way they you can get 14mgs of nicotine regardless of how many mL's you are using.

Regardless, it's all moot anyway because it's not absorbed 100%, so if you get nauseous you had too much but if you still crave nicotine you didn't get enough.

To put it in perspective, I vape 24mg juice (per mL) so I wouldn't worry about 14mg juice at all.

I am new to this forum. All I know is that I have 36mg and it makes me spin. I thought I would need that since I use to smoke about 2 packs a day. But 36mg is pretty intense. I think I might try 18mg next time and see how that treats me.

MegPie, that's a hi dose of nic. I have heard that the equivalent Nicotine Level to say a Marlboro Red would be somewhere from 11-13mg. Try cutting your 36mg down with some VG or PG or a combo of it. See free calculator below.

Rosa - Your calculation doesn't add up. I think you meant 14mg when you typed 7mg, or you meant 1/2mL when you typed 1mL.

Yes. 36mg is way too much, if you're used to a lot less. This depends on what you used to smoke (ultra light, light, regular, etc). You can buy some lower-strength juice and mix it with some of the 36mg juice to get the result that's best for you. If 18mg is best for you, then mix 1 part 36mg and 3 parts 12mg (36 + 12 + 12 + 12 = 72 divided by 4 parts = 18). Or buy some 0mg juice and mix 1 part 36mg and 1 part 0mg to equal 18mg (36 + 0 = 36 divided by 2 parts = 18).
