I'll be ordering my first stuff (finally) in about a month, and I have a pretty good idea what I want as far as hardware. I'm not so sure about what nicotine level to start with, though. I originally thought 18 since I currently smoke about a pack a day and that's what the handy little charts say is the equivalent.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if 12 wouldn't be a better starting point. I smoke outsidea and go out of my way to make it inconvenient to drop what I'm doing to go out and smoke. I have a feeling that I'm going to have an e-cig stuck in my face a lot more frequently than I smoke, especially once I find a few flavors I really like, so 18 may be overkill. Does that sound sensible? Blah, I have a feeling that finding the right pg/vg ratio and nicotine level are going to be the hardest parts of this.

Here's another option you might want to try. I been vaping @ 12mg but there are times I need more TH or just need the increased Nic Buzz. So instead of buying multiple Nic levels of the same juice and then trying to mix them, (which can get expensive and time consuming), I just bought a 30ml bottle of unflavored 24mg Nic juice @ the same PG/VG ratio (Which I think 50/50 would be a good starting point for you), of my juices and then add a few drops hear and there to increase the Nic level.

You can use it with any flavor since it's unflavored and takes no time at all because you're only adding a few drops. You can get unflavored Nic juice at most ejuice vendors ... I get mine @ Mt Baker Vapor, all different Nic and PG/VG levels available and it's only $7.49 for a 30ml bottle which should last a long time.

Just another thought and Good Luck
