Hello Friends,

I am new to vaping.. its been around 15 days for me. I use to smoke around 7-8 Cigs per day B&H lites.. Since last 15 days i haven't smoked a cig.. Only vaping... My one filling of tank of 2.4 ml, of 11mg Nic last for 1.5 days. And i feel Good... I like vaping..

Now can anyone tell me, have i improved than cig ?
Coz i don't know the calculation of, Nicotine in 1 Cig which i smoke and how much Nicotine i intake while Vaping ?

Generally speaking, from what I have researched you are probably about right on target with the nic level. However, the best way to determine is if you feel satisfied. If you still feel like you need more after vaping, then maybe need another level up of nic. For instance, if you feel like you are vaping MORE than you were smoking before. Conversely, if you feel like you have symptoms of too much nicotine or are just feeling weird, maybe step it down. Although, it does sound like from your post that you are comfortable with your level and are doing well.

I read that thing... but didn't understood this part.. or i think there is some mistake in this ? can u help ?

"When you refill your e-cartridges with e-liquid, you may need to know how much nicotine is contained in your refilling e-liquid.
There are approximately 20 drops of e-liquid per milliliter.
So, using our 24mg nicotine e-liquid once again as an example, there would be 1.2mg of nicotine per drop (24mg/20 drops). So, if you put three drops of e-liquid onto a e-cartridge (or directly onto the atomizer for those of you that direct-drip), that means you will be taking in 3.6mg of nicotine from the time you start vaping until you top off again. "

given 1ml of liquid = ~20 drops

it's saying you divide the nicotine strength (24mg) by the number of drops (20 per ml)

24/20 (24mg divided by 20 drops) = 1.2mg of nictone per drop

3 drops = 1.2mg x 3 = 3.6mg

Ok so if

20 Drops = 1 ml

and our tank fills appx. 2ml of liquid,

so it contains 40 drops.... RIGHT ?

So according to that,

With 24mg and 2ml tank capacity,

1.2mg x 40 drops = 48mg of Nicotin intake ?

Now thats too much, don't you think so ?

given 1ml of liquid = ~20 drops

it's saying you divide the nicotine strength (24mg) by the number of drops (20 per ml)

24/20 (24mg divided by 20 drops) = 1.2mg of nictone per drop

3 drops = 1.2mg x 3 = 3.6mg

nicotine strength is measured in mg per ml

so i guess 2ml of 24mg would be 48mg

BUT from what i've read the rate of nicotine absorption decreases when vaping vs smoking. Thus, you may not be absorbing all 48mg when you vape 2ml of 24mg

you may also find this link useful Nicotine level:tobacco cigarette vs e-cigarette liquid nicotine content

assuming the information in that link is valid...48mg would be theoretically equivalent to approximately 50 regular cigarettes? or maybe 60 lights??

hmm that does seem like too much. i cant imagine vaping 2ml and smoking 50 cigarettes. maybe we are missing something in the math

Yes thats what i said... 2ml and 48mg Nic... We are surely missing something in this.. ?

My tank is 3 ml of capacity and I have 30ml Bottle of 11mg Nicotine Bottle...

so according to this, my one tank filling contains 33mg Nicotine.. Thats too much..

instead of that,

i use to smoke 7 cigs which has appx 0.4mg Nic per cig... so 7 x 0.4 = 2.8mg per Day and my Tank lasts for 1.5 days, so 4.2mg in Cig and 33 mg nic in E Cig.. ?

hahaha.. Crazy...

All I am going to add is this.

3 drops of e-liquid might contain "x" amount of nicotine, but that will not be the yield for vaping.

The idea that 3 drops is 3.6mg YIELD would extrapolate to this type of scenario.

I vape 2ml of liquid a day. If my liquid is 18mg, that is 36mg in total. According to the cigarette packet, I was acquiring about 18mg a day from smoking.

If I was vaping 36mg in total, and getting a similar amount of nicotine that's 50% yield. However, we know that peak nicotine levels are lower with vaping than smoking, so even matching nicotine over a period (waking hours, let's say) won't create the "highs" of smoking.
