I'm having some trouble understanding the nicotene levels of the various liquids. 24mg 16mg or whatever. What is the most like a full flavor cigarette? I think the liquid I ordered with my 510 is 24mg. Will this have me bouncing off the walls? Or give me a headache or make me feel drunk?

I guess what I'm asking is, if you are used to smoking a pack of Camel box a day, what level of Nic in a liquid will feel "right". Ok, I know you're going to say that different things feel right to different people. So, let me ask it this way... Which level isa good starting point? Should I try the 24mg and see if I like it before switching to something lower, or should I get something lower up front because there's a good chance 24mg will be too strong? And I've heard you can dilute the liquid. To lessen the nicotene. What do you dilute it with that will cut the Nicotene but not the flavor or "throat hit"?

Nicotine strength depends on you alone, but I smoked a pack a day of camels and found that 18mg was too low for me. So I tried 24 and that works best for me. You may not feel the same way. Only you will know. It's all about experimentation for a while until you find what suits you best.

When you dilute any flavored liquid with PG or VG you will cut the flavor. In order to avoid cutting the flavor you need a bottle of 0mg nicotine fluid. and add teh same amount you put in of the PG or VG that should even out the flavor to normal.

xdunlapx, I'm so glad higher nic is working better for you! I know you were frustrated for a while. Ever get your atty/vapor issue fixed?

To the OP: xdunlapx is dead on. Just play around with levels until you find what's right for you. Too many variables, and nic in ecigs is not absorbed like from smoke, so physiologically it interacts at different rates and is very dependent on your own vaping style, juice thickness, atty temp, batt strength, and metabolism. Just cannot compare vaping to smoking.

OTOH, if you feel you need to vape 48 mg or more, then there is likely something wrong. That is way high. Much depends on how well the PV is performing too. With stock 510 carts I was often puffing on 36 mg. Now with a modded cart (ZFM), which is an autodrip cart, and therefore with an atty that is operating well, I am at 12 mg or less, and seem to be dropping.

Play around and learn how to make your PV work optimally, and let the nic be what it needs to be.

When I was earlyh on quitting tobacco cigarettes, I was vaping 36mg/ml concentration e-liquid. I moved on to a high-voltage device and cut back my nicotine level to 12-18 mg.ml. Recently, I ordere some new e-liauid at the 36mg. level because I was not paying attention to my online order. While these liquids taste fine and give great thraot hit, I spend a lot of time in the crapper. As a result, I will be cutting the new liquids down to a more reasonable level.

The point of this post is that there is nicotine in e-liquid, the concentrations of nicotine are quite real, and everyone reacts differently to nicotine. If you notice your body doing things you do not expect, consider dropping your nic level.

When the cartridge dries up can you refill it with the liquid, or do you need to buy special refillable carts?

With a 510, 801, 901, refilling is just dripping more liquid into the cart until filled. With cartomizers, at least the ones I've used, you have to be more careful and let the juice soak up which can take more time as the filler is denser. Just my $0.02.

And Velvet, I agree higher voltage will make the nic far more available. But I'm finding this is also the case at 3.7V with higer capacity batts, like the 14500 box mods. These are putting out higher wattage than regular 510 batts, and boosting the atty voltage from 3.1V (off reg batts) to about 3.6V with 14500. That boost across the atty makes a big difference, as does a properly wicking cart. The better the PV works, the less nic you need in the juice, is what I'm finding out.
